Bennacer, Ibra, Florenzi out.

Just saw a report on Football-Italia that Vlahovic is also a major doubt.

This game is obviously important. Never a bad time to beat Juventus. But with the point penalty + Juve's and Roma's result this past Monday - the game is not critical to our Serie A standing. All we need is 3 points against either Juventus or Verona and we're fine.
Of course, this is Italy, and there is always the risk that this Juventus points penalty will again be appealed, go away, be reduced, etc. But so far, there has been no signs that Juventus will appeal. Most sources say that they actually will not, and on top of that there's the (more than likely) incoming UEFA suspension.

Anyway, like I said, the games against Juventus are the most important ones of the season along with those against Inter. So there doesn't need to be points/standings motivation here. Simply playing against them is enough.

We can obviously win the game and secure the CL this weekend. Hopefully that happens.

Florenzi has been another disastrous signing. Always injured.

This Juve team is just piss poor. I expect a victory to be honest. They are in shambles. Allegri is pressured from all sides, players are unhappy, morale is low, lot of injuries and so on. That Juve team on paper is nothing more than a mid table team.

Bet: 0-2 Milan.

And still they have 5 more points than us, not counting the points deducted.

I doubt it will be a walk in the park, but of course we can and will win!

Forza Milan!

BTW who do we want to win tonight, Inter or Atalanta?

Perfect scenario would be an inter loss and we win tonight so we would overtake Inter. That would mean 3th spot and we dont have to wait for the Juventus points deduction saga to end.

There is this glimmer of hope that Inter will lose tomorrow, we will win on Sunday and secure CL, and than Inter drop points against Torino with the CL final on their mind just a few days later. That would mean that they won't even make it into the top 4 (assuming Atalanta wins out). What a plot twist THAT would be. Big Grin

With that being said, if we only worry about us and not wish Inter didn't make it, than an Inter win tomorrow wouldn't be bad at all. It means Atalanta has no chance of overtaking us, no matter what we do in the final 2 games. That only leaves Roma to worry about, and I guess potentially Juventus. But for Juventus, they'd have to beat us by more than 2 goals on Sunday and than hope we don't even take a point against Verona. On top of that, they have to hope UEFA even allows them to play in Europe next year (HIGHLY unlikely). And there is 0% chance they will get thir points back by the way. There is no sign of an appeal or even an indication that they CAN appeal. They already did and the appeals court essentially confirmed the wrongdoing.

So if I'm thinking 1 game at a time, 1 direct CL competitor at a time......than Inter win and Fiorentina win/draw tomorrow would put us in the CL 99.9% without us even kicking a ball this weekend.
