Sky probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Sportiello; Florenzi, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, Musah/Pobega; Chukwueze, Okafor, Pulisic.

Adli is a retard for not moving in the summer. Will. Never. Play.

I dont trust a line up without Leao from the start.. Play him for 45-60 min, hopefully we lead and change. I hate rotating where we start with the less good ones. Kill the match, and change at half time.

I think that's a really good lineup. It allows us to play in our best shape, but also provides the much needed rest for Leao and Giroud. Additionally, we can see Chuk in action from the first minute, Okafor in the center to get some minutes there, and Pulisic in the position where imo he is his best self.

I'm not worried about the midfield without Krunic. This idea that all of a sudden Krunic is the irreplaceable CDM and only HE knows how to play that position is outrageous imo. With that said, I think Reijnders can replace him, but we probably lose a bit more technical ability and creativity further up the field by dropping him deeper. Still, we should get plenty of running and coverage from Musah at LCM and RLC at RCM, so it should be enough to beat Cagliari.

Btw, Cagliari has scored only 1 goal in 5 games this season. Conceded 6, 2 each from Bologna, Inter and Atalanta. Goalless draws against Udinese and Torino.

I don't care how ugly this one is going to be. Just get the 3 points, no further injuries, and I'll be satisfied.

I don't know how to find data to back it up, but I really believe that Cagliari is Milan's most favorite opponent, the other two teams being Bologna and Chievo (whom still from time to time gave us some trouble, but Cagliari has never. Big Grin) The only time we stumbled against them was 20-21 season, the 37th round, all we needed was a victory at SS to secure top 4 but somehow we just couldn't score, and had to postpone our CL qualification until the last round in which Kessie's two penalties sunk Atalanta. Still, we didn't lose in that game either. Throughout the history (well, only my watching history), Milan have almost never lost to them (maybe 3 in the span of 3 decades. lol).

There is no excuse and we should take care of business, and we should rest some key players with Lazio and Dortmund coming up in quick succession, especially Dortmund game which almost already becomes a must-win thanks to our 0:0 draw against Newcastle who seems to get a huge morale boost out of it. PSG is always going to be PSG and nobody should be shocked if they secure a spot from the group.

The issue is of course that Pioli still doesn't seem to want to rotate, even after Krunic is now injured and Giroud about to. (Please pardon me for harping on things and wouldn't let go. I still think CdK could have been our CF solution, but now Giroud is overworked like a dog but we don't have anybody that can give him some rest. We got completely duped by Taremi in the last minute. I even wonder if we would still let go Colombo and Origi.)

Will Adli finally get to play? I think Pioli mentioned the possibility. Let's hope it is true. It is not so much that I rate Adli highly; rather, it puzzles me how bad Adli must be for Pioli to have zero faith in him. I want him to get his fair share of chance. If he is that bad, at least I will stop blaming Pioli for that.

Anyway, I am cautiously optimistic with this game. Like most of you, I don't care how we win, as long as we win. Ideally 3 or 4 goals in the first half and we will take off most key players for the second half. But if that doesn't happen, as long as there is no injury or excessive yellow/red, I am happy with just 3 points.

Forza Milan.
