Winter mercato 2024

Any expectations for the January, winter 2024 market?

Bennacer is like a new transfer, we are packed in the mid.

Musah for RWB and Bartesaghi for LB/LWB/CB, Pellegrino not yet unveiled, the defense is quite deep.

GK department doesn't need special attention.

Wingers with Leao, Okafor, Pulisic & Chuku are the best since Ronaldinho & Pato.

The only unsure position is SC. Waiting for Jovic, our second former 65M player.

CF is one we need to go for imo. But it probably won't happen due to Jovic.

January market is always a shitshow anyway. I think of it as a "stop-gap" month. We'll see if we need any of those come January.

The defensive sector really needs some fresh blood. Maybe Bartesaghi is one of them. But i dont see any transfers here.
Maybe, maybe they will go for David? That wil be epic.

I'll be happy if we restrain from famous January "adding the depth" activity...
Avaiting for arrival of exorcist into our boardroom.

There are three areas that I think we definitely should do something, CB, CDM and CF.

Persoanlly, I don't think our defenders are really that good. Kalulu regressed quite a bit last year, Tomori has been very up and down for over a year now, and Thiaw is the same way. To me, we need someone who we can count on game in and game out from that position, a leader of our defense, if you will.

CDM is probably our weakest and shallowest spot on the roster. I know Pioli has a hard on for Krunic, but he is bang average as a player, and isn't a pure CDM to begin with. Behind him, we have literally nothing at the position. If we need a physical and defensive presence there, we would not be able to find one player on the roster who can do that. That is an issue that should be addressed ASAP. If they like Krunic, then at least add some depth behind him with the right attributes.

CF, well, we all know what is going on there. Old man Giroud is not an every game day player any more. Jovic has not impressed anyone for five years now and Okafor is not a real CF, at least by Pioli's definition. We need a real option there who can at least rotate with Giroud

Now those three positions are what we SHOULD address, I don't know what we will do though. I think CF is probably something they are going to try again since they had money left over from the Taremi deal, but who knows what we can get in January window

Crap. I totally forgot that we have Jovic. Somehow I thought that Giroud had no backup at all. Grinundwech

Say, anyone knows how good francesco camarda is? I want to know how high I can adjust my expectation. Icon_lol2

Maybe Taremi was meant to be that 'stop-gap' solution between Giroud and Camarda.  Dodgy

So far Jovic equals "no backup at all". Let's hope it will change.

Stop-gap for (at least) 5 years? Camarda is 15... We can't sit around waiting for him. Even though he looks promising now, there's no guarantee he will ever be a Serie A player for Milan.

I have no hopes on Jovic, he will warm the bench for one year and leave.
My wish is Fabio Silva for CF.....of course it will remain as a wish! And slowly integrate Camarda into the loop yes!
