Correct. Was ours until last summer when he signed for Frosinone on a contract until 2027. Was loaned out to different clubs for the past 3 seasons.

Just as it should be, a relatively easy win. Even with lots of players out.

Functional game. Needed win but the season is effectively over apart from trying to limp to a top 4 finish.

These are the games that drive me crazy. Why did Jovic have to wait til Girouds red to start seeing minutes? Why was Okafor forced into a CF position when Leao could have been rested (possibly avoid injury)? Why is Florenzi only an emergency option for Theo (Id argue his poor form is partly to being over played.

I get there is a gap between starters and backups. Most teams there are. But, when you don’t give their backup players minutes, starters get injured, lose motivation and backups aren’t sharp.

On another note, Theo as a CB may be a revolution. Those runs from the center of the pitch where he had room were quite a sight to see. Been a while since he could stretch his legs like the old days.

I’m not a fan of playing Theo as central defender. He played a good game but we need him at left back.. we havent got anyone there.

And dear god, Chuckwueze is castillejo bad!

Too bad Camarda got pulled back there, I wanted to see him finish that chance

Dear god yes. Let’s hope we can get a Hauge type deal for this guy this winter! Sometimes I’m watching him and thinking he isnt a serious player. Technically so poor. Just a speed merchant.

Algorithms failed big time with Chukwueze. 28m for such a limited player on the last year of his contract is madness.

Messias looked better and produced more.

Theo did look good at CB. Hardly put a foot wrong. Just because we have nobody on the left, we shouldn't stop Theo from exploring in Maldini's footsteps. Could be a big revelation.

On a separate note, I wonder if this team will ever explore playing a 5 or 3 back. Thiaw Theo Tomori as 3 CB's would give so much pace and solidity defensively while we could play like a 3-4-1-2 allow Reijnders to play in an advanced role and Bennacer / Loftus as CDMS. Meanwhile Leao + Pulisic could play out wide and we could play Giroud with a support striker like Okafor/Jovic.
