This is the same Milan. This should be a 5 or 6 goal win. Simic is not looking like a 18 years old. Hope he will get many chances this season.

Simic looked amazing in preseason. Why this is the first time he played is beyond me. We've been conceding goals yet Pioli never shuffled the ranks whatsoever.

Hopefully he will learn that it is not end of the world if he give chance to young player...

Imagine he started Pobega as CB instead of handing a start to Simic. He is next level stubborn. There is no future of our primavera players in senior side, I hope either they loaned out or sold with good re sale value. There is nothing we can do.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

It's not normal scoring 5 or 6 goals. Some people are talking like we used to do that all the time in our past.

In our super season of 1991/92 when we were unbeaten in Serie A and had Baresi, Maldini, Costacurta, Donadoni, Albertini, Ancelotti, Rijkaard, Gullit, Massaro, Simone, Van Basten we only managed to score 5 goals or more in 3 matches (Serie A).

In 2005/06 when we scored 85 goals (the most we've scored since 1951/52 season) with Cafu, Nesta, Maldini, Stam, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Rui Costa, Kaká, Gilardino, Inzaghi, Shevchenko we managed to score 5 goals or more in 2 matches (Serie A).

In 1993/94 we won the Champions League final 4-0 vs Barca. We had a great team with players like Baresi, Maldini, Desailly, Donadoni, Boban, Savicevic, Lentini, Papin, Massaro, and won the Serie A scoring a total of 36 goals in 34 matches. Not once in Serie A did we score more than 2 goals.

Agree.. Especially in a league like Serie A, the smaller clubs where the gap in quality exists to win games 5-0 still rarely happens as the tactics in Italy have always been the strongest defensively.

It's anywhere. Not even teams like PSG scoring more than 3 goals per game, despite having way better team than 90% of French league.

I think what's frustrating is the way we miss clear cut scoring chances. Sure, the 5-6 goals thing is an exaggeration. But we really did have multiple chances to put the game out much earlier. What's even worse is that this (missing big chances) keeps on happening. And it's costing us big time. We are out of the CL because of this lack of finishing we see in most games.
Of course, seems silly to complain about finishing when the game ends 3-0. Big Grin I get that
