Week 19: Empoli - Milan January 7 2024 12:30CET
Early game.

Our crazy injury absence list is "enhanced" by Chukwueze and Bennacer away on NT duty.

Someone called Chuku for NT?! Wow...

After starting AC Milan’s mid-week Coppa Italia clash against Cagliari, Luka Jovic will return to the bench, with Olivier Giroud set to return to the Rossoneri’s starting lineup. In his pre-match press conference, Stefano Pioli gave insight into the decision.
What the....? The bald man must be crazy...
As everyone now, Pioli is the most stubborn man in the Italian football world. Giroud will always play from the start in the important tournaments, Jovic in the Coppa. This just cant change in his strange head.
He has changed something though. Did you see what he said about Krunic? I wonder what happened that made him say such harsh words.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Theo, Florenzi; Reijnders, Adli; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.
Thats pretty good. Forza Milan!
Good goal from an even better build up from the back. 1-0.

RLC scores. Christmas miracle indeed.

It must be disheartening to play for Pioli sometimes. Jovic has done everything a CF could do. But, he still finds himself on the bench. Something that's happened to Kalulu, Adli, even Tomori in the beginning, among others.
It's like there is this formed hierarchy, and there is nothing that those on the fringes can do. Unless there is a lengthy injury, no matter the performance, the hierarchy doesn't change.

Krunic is a great example. He was part of that group that is untouchable. All of a sudden, Pioli says "he hasn't been performed as in the past, so he fell behind". Bullshit. Krunic has always performed the same way. Mediocre/average quality. From day one. Nothing more and nothing less. But now they are in a fight, so all of a sudden others can get a chance.
