Giroud and Kjaer farewell. Pioli farewell too. Chukwueze, Maignan out.

Remember Pioli's words for the one who stole his Scudetto medal: "Please return it to me, I only have one."
So humble, only make me thankful of his service. He has given his best.

Giroud and Kjaer are the same.

Sad to part ways with three gentlemen at once, but the memories are forever!!!

Yes we have been frustrated with Pioli, but he really have earned our praise. he has raised kids to be world class players, very little noise in the media, always respectfull and gave us the Scudetto. I will probably have tears in my eyes tomorrow. And Era is over. Lets just hope the next will be better.

Icon_lol2 I totally forgot about this.

Gotta thank the man for the Scudetto. He has his quirks though, as every other manager. I think the last 2 seasons have been failures and his time here has been over for a while now.

I'm excited to move on and see what's in store. The club, the fans and the players especially, need a change. I feel like Pioli took this squad to a certain level, but we've seen a plateau. Whereas you could see the likes of Leao, Theo and Tomori improve up until the Scudetto season, we no longer see an upward trajectory. And we need someone with different ideas to allow these players to view things differently, train differently, interpret games differently, etc.

This is all normal and I don't blame Pioli that much tbh. It's very hard to train the same group for longer than 3-4 years (at most). Certain motivations just kind of fade away after a while. I remember by the end of Ancelotti's reign, we were all happy to see him go. His time was up and it was very clear. Same with Allegri. And it's the same with almost all coaches in football.

Mirante is a weird choice. He's likely retiring from football though so I understand respecting him for his training, etc.

Wonder why Florenzi is in the midfield? Is he potentially also leaving this summer?

I noticed Caldara on the bench. Pioli better not play this leech. Refused transfers, never gave up any of his salary, took everything and did nothing for this club. Never available. Always unfit/injured. Do NOT let this guy see the field.

Caldara played 2 games for Milan: 1 in Coppa and 1 in EL. If he plays any minute today, it would be 1/1/1. Poetic symmetry. Big Grin

By the way, I still don't know when his contract was renewed. He came in 2018, and in Italy no contract can be longer than 5 years, so he must have got an extension.

A gift from Salernitana's goalkeeper. Leao scores the easiest of goals. Devilol
