Gimenez might get a start in place of Jovic. Sottil and Bondo out.

Dybala and Pellegrini are out, Roma three points ahead.

I can't ever watch a Milan game and hope for a negative result. So I hope that if we do end up winning, other scores go our way as well. Mainly because, I don't want us playing in the Conference League. It really is a waste of time for a club like ours. It offers close to no financial incentive and has zero high profile games. It will honestly only hurt us by having to travel and play meaningless games, rather than use full weeks to train and prepare for Serie A games.

So what are the scenarios?
-CL = 1st - 4th

-EL
a) if Bologna finishes 4th, than 5th + 6th = EL
b) if Bologna finishes 5th, than Bologna + 6th = EL
c) if Bologna finishes 6th or worse, than Bologna + 5th = EL

-Conf. League
a) if Bologna finishes 4th - 6th, than 7th = Conf. League
b) if Bologna finishes 7th or worse, than 6th = Conf. League

Losing the Coppa really made things difficult to avoid the Conference League. We need to finish 5th or 8th to be absolutely sure we dont play in it. Problem is, if we beat Roma this weekend and Bologna doesn't get 3 points against Fiorentina....than we'll be 6th (ahead of Bologna/Roma, and behind Juve/Lazio). Then with the last game being against Monza at the San Siro, it's almost a guaranteed win (even for this crop of shitheads). And so I really fear that if the above scenario occurs this weekend as I described, we'll end the season ahead of Bologna in 6th place and end up playing the Conference League. Of course....that's if something absolutely wild doesn't happen and 1 (or both) out of Juve/Lazio royally fuk up and don't win either 1 of their remaining games while also losing 1.

You know that won't happen though. It's not even the playing of the game. It's more of the travel for them in midweeks. Coaches always complain that they barely have time to work on things in training. Because most of what's happening during the season is a cycle of tactical prep for a game, travel, play game, recovery session...repeat. So to change things and tactics, experoment, physical conditioning, etc....its almost impossible. Thus js where proper pre-season comes into play. But as all this is worth it for CL games for example...it's simply not worth it for Conf League.

100% sure we wont have a proper pre season again. We still dont have a sporting director so we will start on the back foot again. Other teams are planning or making moves already. While we still busy with internal struggles.

BTW isnt it possible for us to reject conference league football (if we make it)? Like we did some years ago with the europa league? IMO it would be worth it, conference league football aint worth it , it will only harm us in the league.

Unfortunately, I know it's just my wishful thinking... but seriously, don't even travel "top" players to those games. Just youngsters combined with A team players which are getting little minutes.

But no, they're afraid we might lose against Wisla Pollock or someone like that... guess what, we are Wisla Pollock soon to be, so no shame losing against them.
