CalcioNapoli24: Milan request information from Napoli about Osimhen.
Would be a good signing but financially I think out of our reach. Napoli will request probably 70-80 million with a 8 million per year wage. Our budget for a striker is 40-50 and we all know our wage offers don’t go beyond 4. Exceptions are made for certain players obviously but even 8 is too high for us.
I think we've shown that we will go above 4m a year. But I have no idea if they'll sign off on an 8-10m per year contract. That might be "a risk too high" for this ownership.
Either way, just to entertain the thought....Osimhen immediately makes us a Scudetto contender. The guy is a menace and knows how to score. Just look at his last season in Turkey. I know "it's only" Turkey...but still, scoring 37 goals and adding 8 assists in just 41 appearances is insanely good.
We've probably made enough room in our wage budget to get Osimhen. But I do think management/ownership see wages that high as a huge risk (if things don't work out in a year or two).
L’Equipe: Milan have made a €15 million offer for Strasbourg right-back Guéla Doué.
Granit Xhaka now a Juventus target. He’s clearly not coming to Milan now but I’m ok with it. At Arsenal I feel like he had a short temper and got a lot of reds. Now sure how he has been since though
Destiny Udogie is enticed at the idea of playing at San Siro under Max Allegri. This would be a good signing if we can get him for 35-40 million
Anyone see the bonuses for the Reminders sale?
The bonuses are structured in quite a simple way. If Reijnders sees out his first contract – or stays at the club until 2032 – the Diavolo will get €4m, €1m per year after and including 2030. More easily aquired, if Manchester City qualify for the Champions League, they will have to pay. €5m.
This is where things get interesting. Should the Citizens win the Premier League, another €1m will be owed. Then, there is another €1m if he is the Premier League Player of the Season. For another €2m, City will have to win the Champions League.
Finally, and most intriguingly, is the Ballon d’Or clause. If Tijjani Reijnders wins the Ballon d’Or, City will have to pay €2m.
I think we will only get 64-64 max.
Sportiello is getting closer to Cremonese
Here we talk about getting rid of deadwood and useless players, of course I agree, but there is no need to go overboard. How many players are at milanello right now that will be part of the team at the end of the window? So unless he is asking to go for a first choice job I don't see the point.
