Milan x Sampdoria 16/4/2011 20:45

Sampdoria have been abysmal since the sale of Cassano & Pazzini in January and have quickly gone down the table. I think they have only won one game from January until now and have scored a maximum of 5 goals (with 3 coming in from one game). They are 1 point away from relegation and will fight for their lives. I hope they get relegated because their president deserves that for being so arrogant and selling Cassano for 5m, and letting go of Pazzini, and letting Del Neri go and bringing in Di Carlo. What a joke of a President.

Milan however have dropped points to a weaker team like Lecce, so it's not impossible for them to get points against us. Milan are the kings of complacency thanks to Ancelotti, and we still haven't shook that mentality off.

Ibrahimovic will be suspended (probably a good thing for us) and we will see Pato starting again, probably with Robinho. Cassano also will return from suspension. Seedorf has performed amazing from that left midfield role that he used to play in pre-2006, and Prince is doing exceptionally well from the trequartista position. I would like to play all three strikers at once for this one, but Allegri is very stubborn and uses the mentality "dont fix what's already working", so I think he'll use the same formation. Hope that Nesta is ok and we probably will see Pirlo back for this one, I sure hope that Pirlo returning does not mean he takes Van Bommels spot... "The Boss" has performed amazingly for us and we need him there.. Seedorf has done exceptionally well too....... Honestly speaking I do miss Pirlo, I haven't seen him play in like 4 months, but it would be better to bring him as a sub. It would also be nice to see Urby in this game, and I don't like how Allegri benches Robinho.

Inter play at the Tardini, and it's very possible that they drop points. Parma have players like Crespo, Amauri and Giovinco who can definitely hurt you at their stadium, especially when they are 1 point from relegation and they need the points badly.

In all honesty, i see next weekends fictures as a good possibility of going 8 points clear of inter, or maybe 7.. parma have 3 good strikers, giovincos pace will be a huge problem with crespos experience inter has a very slow defence when cordova(who imo has been terrible at marking) and nagotomo arent on, lets hope they beat them and we will beat sampdoria. i can tell by how some players are performing there striving to win the title, pato especially has shown a huge improvement. pato boateng van bommel silva and abbiati are our recent outstanding performers, abate makes the list too. everyone else has been acceptional as well, i think in our current forum its a possiblity we will win all our remaining games.
my guess for this game
2-0 us

I don't see us having big problems against a poor Samp side. Having said that, we have to play to get the 3 points.

Before thinking and hoping that Inter will drop points, let's not forget that Napoli is there too ... And they play at home against Udinese (Udinese with 2 losses in a row, did they suffer from the pressure ?).

Of course, we must win, but this week-end is the perfect one to breath some fresh air, because Parma could manage to get a draw, and at the same time, we win, it will put a lot of pressure on Napoli (they will be a bit in our situation of yesterday, but not sure Napoli can handle so much pressure) ...

Forza Rossoneri !!
The international break is -

Last five results of Sampdoria: LLL - DL (3 goals scored, 7 goals conceded)
Last five results of Sampdoria away: LLDLD

Last five results of Milan: WDL - WW (7 goals scored, 3 goals conceded)
Last five results of Milan at home: DWWDW

If we don't win this game, it will be a shame ...

======
Last five results of Napoli: DWW - WW (11 goals scored, 5 goals conceded)
Last five results of Napoli at home: WWDWW

Last five results of Udinese: WWW - LL (8 goals scored, 4 goals conceded)
Last five results of Udinese away: WWWWL

Difficult to give a favorite to this game, Napoli are in a better form, it looks like the international break has been painful for Udinese as they condeded their 4 goals in the last two games, their two losses ...

======
Last five results of Parma: DLW - LL (3 goals scored, 7 goals conceded)
Last five results of Parma at home: LDDLL

Last five results of Inter: WDW - LW (9 goals scored, 6 goals conceded)
Last five results of Inter away: WWWDL

Unfortunately, Parma have a very bad record at home and unless Giovinco is on fire that day, I don't think they will help us that much ...

Ibrahimovic is suspended for three games, so this is another huge chance for Pato to step up.

I don't think Napoli will drop points against Udinese. Of course, you never know what will happen as Di Natale and Sanchez (if he'll play, he missed the game against Roma) are brilliant and can do some harm to Napoli. They will also try to qualify for the CL. Still Napoli are full of confidence right now, and that should be enough for a win.

Parma can get a positive result against Inter, FORZA GIOVINCO! Big Grin

FORZA RAGAZZI! WE WANT THE 18th SCUDETTO! Can't stand Inter having a trophy more than us (albeit one on the table and another with weakened teams)! Big Grin

But given the results of Inter and Parma, Napoli and Udinese, why would Napoli win for sure or almost against Udinese and Inter drop points against Parma ? Big Grin

We have more chances to see a draw between Napoli and Udinese than between Parma and Inter ...

Napoli will play at home, so they have a huge advantage considering their fans at San Paolo. About Parma, well, they beat Juve 4-1 in Turin, so why not Inter at Tardini? Big Grin

In all fairness Inter have been shaky to say the least away from San Siro. That's why I think Inter can drop points at Tardini.
