Fun fact of the day:
Robinho is finishing a higher percentage of chances than Zlatan while playing a deeper/wider role. Robinho- goal every 7.6 shots Zlatan- goal every 8.1 shots which counts pks... if you don't it's a goal every 10.3 shots. Now I don't think it's completely fair because Zlatan creates chances others wouldn't with his strength. However at same time, Robinho creates w/ movement and speed the way zlatan cannot. Personally I think they are both 'so-so' finishers. Neither you can count on to score. For us Pato and Pippo are still our best goalscorers. Add to it Robinho works his ass off for the team, and creates a lot of opportunities with his movement, dragging defenders all over. Yeah, he's worth every penny spent on him.

I think people are reading way too much into the how many shots to goal ratio. As that does not consider how many clear cut chances are there. For example, during the last game, I remembered Ibra having an early chance on a cut through ball by Pato, but Natalie was like glue on him, at the end, Ibra shot the ball despite knowing Natalie already put his foot in his path. I mean that count as a miss but it is completely different than blasting it wide on goal.

But he brings other things like his playmaking/link up ability. He's still always played best when he's had another forward near him who's more of a finisher type like Crespo or Trezeguet. And he's never been consistent as an isolated solo striker (see mourinho's flopped 4-3-3 at inter or his inability to be consistent in barca's 4-3-3, neither system was best for zlatan, cause he couldn't link up)

Well looking at the last game really doesn't make the situation any better for Ibra, seeing as he wasted two golden chances ![]() But I agree, most of Robinho's shots, also overall fewer, are very close to goal while Ibra shoots more often from the distance or generally has less clear cut chances (maybe because he is the one who assists the others, for example)

Often on 1 touch passes using his movement and running. This is a perfect example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SeOe4kZyuE These are goals chances no one else on AC Milan chance can even create. Because of positioning, his involvementi n build up and nonstop running

Abbiati; Abate, Thiago Silva, Yepes, Zambrotta; Gattuso, Van Bommel, Seedorf; Boateng; Pato, Robinho
This is the most likely formation for tomorrow.

That formation works for me, I don't really see any obvious mistakes. I am as always skeptical when I see Seedorf's name in the starting line up but considering how he has been playing lately I really don't mind. Hopefully he can keep it up.
Robinho over Cassano seems a given for me. Robi has been ever so important for us this season, so it will be nice to see him start of with Pato. When the time is right Fantantonio can be subbed in, whom I'm expecting to see quite a performance from, since it's his old team and he recently became a father.

I want to see both Robinho and Pato to score tomorrow. They need a little more boost of confidence, especially Robinho.
