Week 9: Cagliari - Milan (Wednesday, October 29th - 20:45 CET)

Midweek calcio is back! We have a match on Wednesday away vs Cagliari who just stomped Empoli 4-0 and will be feeling good about themselves. The good news about this short week is that we can get out of our depression regarding the two points lost vs Fiorentina and focus on collecting a fresh three points here. Will post more thoughts later when I have more time. It's pretty late around my parts.

FORZA MILAN!

Here are the players who are called up for tomorrow's game:

Quote:Abbiati, Agazzi, Diego Lopez, Abate, Albertazzi, Alex, Bonera, De Sciglio, Rami, Zapata, Essien, De Jong, Muntari, Poli, Saponara, Van Ginkel, Bonaventura, El Shaarawy, Honda, Menez, Niang, Pazzini, Torres.

Mexes wasn't even called up..and in an interview Pippo said that he has 4 reliable central defenders (Rami, Alex, Zapata, BoneraIcon_lol2) with no mention of Mexes. Guess that is indirect confirmation that Mexes will be gone asap?

Has Mexes ever played a minute this season? In fact, has Mexes ever been called up to any game?

Think I have seen him on the bench...

Berlu has basically insisted that Torres play today...and while I hope that it will result in the Spaniard gaining some confidence and actually scoring, I remain unconvinced that he has anything left to give at this level...and could prove to be a long term disaster...well...at least until Berlu loses faith in him.

Just wished Menez had scored vs the Viola...that way it would be difficult for Berlu to insist on Torres starting.

Anyway, FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!!!

Wonder if we played De Jong, Poli and Bonaventura together in midfield if we wouldn't be more creative in the attacking third?
I LOVE MILAN

It smells like Milan tried to sell Mexes this summer, or at least to offer him a contract with significantly less money, and that Mexes refused. This could be a punishment by Milan's management.
