We are out of the Champions League but remain as the best of Europe.....one bad match can't take that away from us.

It is a huge dissapoinment but we should all be proud of our team....sure they played terrible today, but even the best team in the world (us) have to lose sometime....it is a shame that it had to happen today, in such an important day, but that is football.

I was picturing Milan in the next Intercontinental Cup already, now that I know that won't be possible all I can think of is to win the Italian League and close with a trophy this EXCELLENT year. Milan has being labeled the best team in Italy and in Europe and has being playing as such....except today......I can only thank the players and coach for all their work and for making us all proud.

Life goes on......we are still the best....we are still Milan

!!!FORZA MILAN!!!

The worst part is that after such a great season and top football by our players, we are going to win 2 out of 6 trophies we could have won this season (or 1 out of 3 really important trophies)....when our players (and coach) really deserve 10 out of 6. Thanks to them Milan is in the top again, we are the best and even today's match can't take that away from us.

Now I just want to go and sleep until next game.....I just hope San Siro receives our boys in the best way possible in the Empoli game.

Song : Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You

If I had to live my life without you near me
The days would all be empty
The nights would seem so long
With you I see forever oh so clearly
I might have been in love before
But it never felt this strong
Our dreams are young and we both know
They'll take us where we want to go
Hold me now, touch me now
I don't want to live without you

Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You oughta know by now how much I love you
One thing you can be sure of
I'll never ask for more than your love
Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You oughta know by now how much I love you
The world may change my whole life through
But nothing's gonna change my love for you

If the road ahead is not so easy
Our love will lead the way for us
Like a guiding star
I'll be there for you if you should need me
You don't have to change a thing
I love you just the way you are
So come with me and share the view
I'll help you to see forever too
Hold me now, touch me now
I don't want to live without you

It's terrible, We left knowing that we are the best team in the world, but unfortunately we will no longer get any recognition for it. And well, the elimination came after some bad results, I mean, a tie against Modena wasn't I deal. The sadest part for me is knowing that Milan had such a great season, and they were definitely showing that they are the superior team in Europe, even against Depor, but one bad game, and It just end's a great season. Hey Laudrup, thanks for banning that fu*king $hithead Raulg, I'm this forum is preotected by people like you, that was pretty cool, the way you banned him and $hit. Well, I hope we all still agree that Milan is the #1 team in the world, and that this loss, this ONE LOSS, was only an episode that any other team will show.

Thank you all for being here as one big Milan Family. I seriously have to fight some depression right now.

Hi everyone. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marco and I am anglo-italian. I am 27 and live in London. I have been a Milan fan for about 20 years now. I often read these forums and have replied once or twice before, but I now feel I need to stand up and be counted.

I am an AC MILAN fan.
I support the best TEAM in the WORLD.
Yes in the world damn it!

One bad result or performance doesn't mean that we are not. All of you true Milanistas know that we are the best, and that we will be back next year even stronger and wanting to prove to everyone that we deserved to win last year and even this year.

Unfortunately football sometimes throws up shock results and that is what makes it the most exciting sport and entertainment in the world.
In some of the other threads some people have critizised the performances of one or two players and of the tactics employed.
We don't need to do that.
We are not the press or Inter fans, to build someone up one week and then critizise them the next.

WE are ROSSONERI.

The people who will be criticzing the team and the performance the most are the players and the manager. Does anyone really believe they didn't want to progress and it is now we need to get behind them and let them know they are the best.
These freak results happen once in a while.
For most of the season teams have not been able to touch Milan, unfortuantely last night Milan couldn't touch Deportivo, but I am still PROUD to be a MILAN fan and will continue to back the WHOLE team 110%.
Sure there are some players who I believe shouldn't play for Milan but I will still support them while they are here. That is why I have a copy of Championship Manager so I can sell them on the sly ;) .
But honestly, we must comtinue to support this team now more then ever, and as everyone has shown their support in this particular thread I say WELL DONE, and Forza Milan. I know I wouldn't rather be a Real Madrid fan (for all their supposed stars Galacticcos? nah) Inter (they are not fans).
I, like Giovanni have been through the pain of the 94' World Cup final, the Euro 2000 final with Italy. In a pub full of people, friends mocking me for my support of Italy. The diastorous run from 2000-2002 with Milan, but I have gotten over it and we can again now.
There are more good times ahead people, we can still walk with our heads held high, and wear our tops with pride because we are the mighty Milan and anyone who knows anything about football knows we are the best. Let FIFA continue to ignore Maldini and co in the awards ceremony, because to me and most of you guys who post in here, we all know they are the true CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!

Goirre

I didn't feel like posting much yesterday after the match, I thought it would be better to wait a little for my emotions to settle down. After such a match my ‘Rossoneri heart’ was and still is bleeding, and sad to admit it, but I feel like I don't care about anything right now, all I'm looking forward to is our next game and to Paolo Maldini raising the Italian League trophy. I know that most Milan fans feel like me and therefore I’m glad I have MilanMania and its wonderful members to share what we feel... a true family indeed.

The match? I was fighting to get the video transmission of the match, which I finally did when the score was 1-0 already. At that point I thought that even though it was bad to let them score so early in the match there was no way they could score 2 more goals...I mean, Milan has the best defense in Europe. I was also sure that Milan would score, I mean, with Sheva, JDT, Kaka, Seedorf and Pirlo all playing, your chances of not scoring are tiny. So I sit down and start watching the match. Depor was dangerous and we missed a couple of chances...then their second goal...still not worried, I mean, we are Milan right? We are going to come back as the big team we are, with great football and goals...but it didn’t happen in the first half, they even scored a third goal...at this points I was so glad that the first half was over. It was a horrible half but for me Milan was still the favorites, I was predicting a 3-2 for them or 3-3. Then the second half starts and as minutes go on without us scoring I got nervous....it was a day were nothing was working for us and everything was working for Depor. When they scored the fourth goal I was still confident in a comeback, I was predicting 2 late goals for us, or at least 1 to force extra time...we had to score, I mean, we had Sheva, Pippo, Kaka, Rui Costa, Seedorf, Serginho all playing...there is no way we don’t score...but Depor was playing perfect defending...but I was not about to give up hope...I was watching the match with two anti-Milan friends who considered Milan dead after the fourth goal; probably as a result of my emotions at the moment I decided to make a bet with them that we were going to score (it was the 85’ minute already)....even in extra time I was sure Milan was going to score “remember the Ajax match” I said to myself....we must score, Milan just can’t be losing like this! Come on Milan, keep fighting”....then the final whistle............I felt the world coming crashing down on me, I just couldn’t believe what my eyes were witnessing.....Milan, the Almightly Milan, I Meravigliosi, were out of the Champions League after being totally outplayed by Deportivo. At this point I made a couple of post-match posts in MM, lock my door and go to sleep, hoping to wake up from this nightmare.....

2 hours later I wake up and start thinking of what just happened.....luckily SouthPark and Chappelle Show was on and it made me feel a little better ;) ....there was only one question in my mind: “Now what?” Well, it didn’t take long for me to answer my own question; now it is time to put this defeat behind us....there is no time for regrets and for looking back at what happened, we still have the Italian League to fight for....if there is something we must learn from the “Riazor disaster” is that no matter how close you think you are from your goals, it is never over until it is over.....knowing this I expect the players to fight every single remaining game with the real Milan spirit, playing like there is no tomorrow. My faith in them has no limit, even if yesterday I felt like going to Spain and slapping each one of them in their faces. This is football, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, or in Milan’s case, most of the time we win, but sometimes we also lose, too bad it had to happen in such an important game, but again, that is football, these things happen. Now it is time to look forward.

Italian League shall be ours and it will be yet another reason for all the Milan family to be proud of our glorious team, but especially a much deserved reward for our players for an excellent season. I think that the reason why I, and most Milan fans, are so disappointed of this defeat is because we all know we are the best team in Europe, but we didn’t play as such, we are not going to be in the final to claim the deserved CL trophy. But it is all the players and the coach who deserve our full support and gratitude for all their work, for bringing Milan back to the top, for giving us fans so much joy week after week, for giving us something to look forward to when our job, college and whatnot is giving us a hard time. Thanks to them Milan is back at the top of Europe, at the very top, and sure it hurts more falling from there, which is what happened again Depor, but being the best is not only about winning all the time but coming back from the most horrible defeats. That is what Milan has to do, that is what Milan WILL do, because Milan IS the best, because our players ARE the best, because we have THE best coach and staff and THE best fans. But of course our players can't do it alone, they need everyone with them, EVERYONE. They need everyone to say “Forza Milan!!!” louder than ever before. This is why I decided to start this thread called “Forza Milan!!!”, because now, more than ever this season, we need to be with our players, help them in winning this Italian League and help them to come back in full force next season for the next Champions League, where we will show everyone why we are the best.

I’m sorry for such a long post; I just thought I would feel better by sharing my views on the situation with all of you. Chances are most won’t even read it (or will fall asleep while trying to do it :D ) but for those who did read it, thanks.

Time to take over Italy, next season we will take care of Europe again....

Goirre,

Very good post. I think we agree that Milan is still the best in the World, and that we will be back stronger than ever.
At the start of the season we were going for 6 trophies we will win 2. European Super Cup and lo Scudetto. Yep we can be a little disappointed because we deserved more from an amazing season, but how many teams out there BIG teams are going to win nothing or atleast nothing of importance anyway.

Man Utd - best they can hope for is the FA Cup
Real Madrid - in danger of winning nothing
Arsenal - See above although i think they will win the league.
Bayern Munich - Nothing
Juventus - Best they can hope for is the Italian Cup
Inter - Nothing because they're Inter
Roma - Best they can hope for is lo Scudetto, but Milan will not give that up now.

This is still better than all those years when we won nothing.
Who honestly cares about who wins the Champions League now?
Monaco, Porto, Chelsea, Deportivo? Best in Europe? Nope.
It has been a strange tournament. Semis with no Milan, Real, Juventus, Man Utd. Come on thats not normal, it wasn't meant to be and I really believed we were going to get 7 Champions Leagues and get closer to Real. Because if we catch them then noone is going to be able to dispute that we are the best in the WORLD. I know I keep repeating myself, but thats only because I know it to be true.

I don't know whether the S'pore fans saw The New Paper yesterday. I haven't seen such extensive coverage of Milan's games before in the recent history. Its has been covering mainly Man United and Arsenal (recently Chelsea) stories. Its even more detailed than the day we won the Champions League (many people think its a snooze). It showed how we were daydreaming and how dramatic is the way we lost. My eye almost dropped when I saw those pictures, and I feel sorry for the team. I hope the team can return back to our good, consistent form soon (like the unbeaten streak Arsenal have). But I still remeber the day the other Italian team lost so badly in the Champions League and I was laughing like mad (because its Inter). There are many fans now laughing now and they are actually pleased there is no "boring-final". Since Milan is out, I will be rooting for Chelsea. I think they deserve something for their investment in players. This is all I have to say.

I didn't saw the Deportivo and Empoli games, but I'm not depressed or angry, a very bad result against Deportivo, but read this

Milan can win this year 2 trophies:

- European Supercup
- Serie A (I think Milan will win for sure)

Last year, Milan wins:

- Coppa Italia
- Champions League

2 trophies for year, what teams in Europe can win 2 or more trophies? Think in that

Look Juventus, Roma, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Inter etc etc, what trophies can win this year?

Juventus = 0 (Coppa Italia 2-0 Lazio in the first game, CL out, Serie A out)

Roma = 0 (Can win the Serie A, but I think this is for Milan)

Real Madrid = 0 or 1 (Spanish Cup, CL and now Spanish League can lose too, they're in very bad crisis now)

Bayen = 0 or 1 (CL and League, German Cup??)

Manchester = 0 or 1 (League, CL and maybe English Cup??)

Inter = 0 or 1 (League, Coppa Italia, maybe UEFA??)

Look? Only Porto and Monaco can win 2 more important trophies (League and CL) than Milan!!

So relax people!! ;) the MOST important thing now is that Milan MUST win this serie A, win 3 points in every game to win this title before the end to CELEBRATE!!

Next year to the CL again!!

FORZA MILAN!!!!!

MILAN WILL SHINE AGAIN!!

first of all ....... .......... ........ super play by depor and huge amount of unluck for us..... no one could score that eve, although Rui could however he was sent a bit to late:depress: :depress: :depress:
!Forza Rui per sempre!
the 7th of April was the night of ........of..........of........ cry and nightmare:depress:
and then came the 8th of April - the day of my birth - guess what has happened.........:depress: ..........:depress: ............. another team of mine lost the match which has already been won......:depress:
Kauno "Ţalgiris" was that team.........:depress:
Tel Aviv - the city where Euroleague Final Four is goin to take part this year....
we, the team from a little country, came there to deprive them and to gain the only ticket to FF........., sh*t we were close wery wery close, when it was left 45sec. the score was 8pts. in our favor, and when it was left only 2.0 sec. the score was 3pts, in our favor......and then happened something .............. supremely tremendous (God was jewish that night) they threw the ball of the outside to nowhere (as I and many thought) however it was caught and scored from three-point field goal........ last moment last second......
they scored.............
we were down:depress:
in extra time they beat us like childern:depress:

so those two defeats made me depressed for about a week that I could not write any post here......
only now I feel a bit recovered:(

We live to fight another day! This is a hard time for everybody who is connected to our club. I've been gutted but life goes on. We stick together. There are two ways to solve this. Either we fade to black or we come back stronger (physically, tactically, mentally and even sexually I guess) next season to show that we do mean business. I'm hoping for the latter.

Forza Milan.

So after the disaster once again we have to be with the team. Through thick and thin we are fans, and if you are a truly big Milan fan, then even if we are very bad, you'll remain a milanista. This are the type of challenges football gives you to show you are a real fan.
Personally, against Deportivo last year before the game ended I said to myself "I HAD IT", just to see me 1 minute later praying to God that Milan scored at least one goal, and forgot about my "I HAD IT" reaction. Before that time, it never crossed my mind to say such thing, (I had cried a bit over Milan losing important games or getting eliminated since I became a fan), even when we were in the worst of situations. A year after that incident and with several other incidents that happen this year, I'm happy to say that no matter what situation Milan is in, I'm a Milan fan, and will remain so till I die.
We still are the best in the world.
FORZA MILAN!!!!

I have recovered a bit from that tragic event on Wednesday night. Because I felt last two days like neither dead nor alive. Everything was in blur nothing clear was in my head. I did not want to vail but my all efforts were in vain. It happened and that’s all. What heartbreak! Never forget it till the end. Fate is not fair to us. World is cruel and inequitable. God do not love all people as it is proclaimed. He loves only lucky ones. Ah, whatever…

I bit of emotions which were flooded my life last two days though it seems that it is abated for now. I recall that I was very happy and a bit anxious that evening, two hours before the match. We went to a pub near my residence and have a drink with some guys, friends of my friend. All of them do not have comprehension what is football. True Lithuanians [**** them all]. The host of that pub was so stupid that he could not even switch on a TV. My friend had to adjust it by himself. That show started. By the way, there was no sound of that TV, so the music was played aloud. So it was impossible to hear anything from the stadium. What a ****in pub! How could I ever go there! Anyway, the match started and suddenly happened what even I did not expected – San Paolo scored!!! I though – what a final it would be if we end like this! I even could not felt so delighted because of a surprise – first minute goal, that’s impossible, and by Maldini – our captain, it is really impossible. Well, the game continued, we always controlled the play, we had the possession, our players looked magnificent. Even if three rival players wanted to snatch a ball form one rossonero they could not. That was funny. Liverpool looked like children. We had so much dangerous crosses, so many shots on targets. Crespo’s ball was even cleared of the line. Nevertheless eventually we started to score. Great pass by Kaka to Crespo and it doubles. I started to yell like never before. Everybody looked at me like an insane one. Stupid Lithuanians, the will never comprehend football. Anyway, then was disallowed goal by Sheva or other guy [I do not recall clearly]. But we maintained our domination which was crowned by a late first half goal by magnificent Crespo. I fell on the ground and screamed from all my heart. Again I was treated like a mad one. The whistle was blown and I ran outside. No one was around except my friend, so I started to jump and shout like an insane one?. My friend said the he do not know me and started to go away. He was shamed. I do not know why. A real Lithuanian fool. I felt so elevated. I thought we were the champions. And I have said it aloud. Now we know that not only I was convinced with a victory. But it was so obvious that I even could not even think about a possibility to lose a final when you are leading by three goals to nil after a half time. And your rivals seemed like children on the field. I do not blame our players, they are human beings, so emotions overtook them and it is natural. Although I have one question for our coach – where was him when players believed their victory and started to celebrate? He is responsible for that. It’s not like - they professionals so they should know what they are doing. If so coach is not needed anymore! Anyway, the mistake [a crucial one] was made. And we were cruised and destined to concede a goal or more. So did Liverpool. They showed they temper. Respect to them. Although Fortune was very kind to them also. Without it they could not do anything. By the way, before the Gerrard’s goal someone put The Beatles so I started to sing. And then a goal came. I though it is nothing really special, just a one little mistake of Stam. Soon I started to sing again. Smicer. What a ****, I thought. I do not believe in magic, so I it could not be an omen. I must be a ****in coincidence. But The Beatles were playing [I am listening to them at the moment] and Liverpool kept scoring gaols. Penalty! OH ****e! I escaped that room and ran to another. I could not believe. I think you all thought the same way. A real nightmare for all milanisti. To crown it all my own brother sends me a sms with such content - "Writhing those criused milanisti." OMG, what a distress. My own brother. I never said an evil word on his team and now what I get... But this shock coerced to wake up me and our players too. They started to play like they used to do in the first half. However there was seen a fear in their eyes. The victory was ripped out of their hands. Although I did not want to reconcile with a fact that we are not in the lead, we do not have the odds in our favour. I never ceased to believe in them. In our rossoneri. My faith remained solid. I still though we can recover and score to proove our superiority which was obivous especially in both extratimes. We faught. Liverpool was statnding and looing at the watch. They could not fight. They touched the bottom and waited for penalties. We needed only one accurate strike and everything would be in it's place. We created so many chances. Rui Costa was a great power, a power of inspiration, he was fresh and eager to create something. However his efforts were in vain. We could not even score from a close range. It was a bad luck, nothing else. We have done everything to gain the victory, however the fate was severe to us. We deserved to lift a champions cup, but we failed. I am proud of our players. I am very proud of what they have done to not let us down in the extratime. They were keen to win it while playing not on penalties like Liverpool. Scousers felt that they weaker and they can do anything to resist our attacks. They were hopeless. Their players were felling down like leaves in autumn. Their legs could not run. None of them could equal our men. Our rossoneri. I am so proud to be milanista. I can say a word... sorry. Tears are leaking of my eyes. Sorry.

I do not blame any of our players. Sheva is not worth to be accused of missed penalty. So is Serginho and Andrea. Penalties is lotery. They have done everything to avoid it. Everything esle was not in their hands. After the end I ran outside immediately. I went without direction. It was night [about 0:30 am] so it was very still and quiet. I felt frustrated and broken. My head was full of "WHYs". I was so small and vunerable. However after some time of wandering without purpose I felt a new kind of sence. It was a power. A power to be one of that vast army of warriors who lost a battle that night. I felt your backup. Your support. The support of all milanisti. It made me reinforce my faith in Milan. I became more robust. I conceived that I am a real Milanista, real Rossonero. I can never let them down by giving up after a loss. The huge defeats make us stronger fans. Only after a loss you can feel yourself how deep you are in love with Milan and it's fans. It is a glorious feeling!

I dedicate this to all MILANISTI worldwide. The real love is never extinguished! Always with you... :proud:

Rae, such a great post that proofs you are more than a stronger fan. Thanks, you expressed very well what all of us felt after the match. But you should know that i promise you, we will be back next year to the final, stronger, more dangerous, more cruel, more lucky and more experienced. Let's give up thinking about that terrible night and start to dream about next final in Paris.

In addition, i do not know if you are interested in that but i want our Milan play like we did in 1980s-1990s with Sacchi and become the strongest team on people's head. So you know what? Anybody who knows i support Milan, told me not feel bad because they never enjoyed that much and lots of them compared our football with legendary Sacchi era. I absolutely feel better.

I was very sad and depressed. There was nothing to blame. I didnt even bother thinking of the refs. The only thing I blamed was the Milan fans. Less than 10,000 out of 80,000 were Milan fans.

But I feel much better now. People still call me and say haha Milan lost a 3-0 lead, I smile and say yes we did :) and I am happy my team reached there. Milan can''t win everything! We needed to give other teams a chance to make it a bit more competitive :P

Anyway, i feel great, and i am and will always be a proud fan.. The news today of Jankulovski was absolutely great :).. About Vogel, I dont know yet to be happy or not.. Im certainly interested in seeing him play.. and im also on my toes waiting for our next signing :)..

I hope Parma doesnt get relegated, but if they do, they have an excellent squad that will be sold. Frey, Bonera, Morfeo, Gilardino, Simplicio, Marchionni are all names that will be considered by Braida :). Even if Bologna get relegated, they have excellent players too! Pagliuca would be a good replacement for Abbiati. There's also Meghni that we need to take a look at.

nice stuff rae....it was surely dissapointing to let the trophy go like that, but we did play good and fought until the end. Above all I am proud we were there and we fought until the end. Milan was in the center of the stage all year long, both in the CL and the Serie A, so great job ragazzi!...next year we shall win it with the support of our great fans :firedev:
