Ac Milan Prediction League 2004/2005

[Goirre]

Finally!! we are a couple weeks away from the beginning of the season...about time ;) ....so, a new season means a new Prediction League...

Many know how it works, but for those who are new to it (hopefully many new faces will join the Prediction League this season!), all you have to do is guess the score and the scorers in order to get the most points possible and climb up in the standings!

Lets gets to the rules:

1) If you correctly predict who is going to win (or if it’s going to end in a draw), you receive: 10pts

2) If you correctly predict the exact score, you receive: 20pts (in this case Rule 1 applies no more)

3) If you correctly predict the scorers, you receive: 5pts for each one correctly predicted

4) If you correctly predict the exact score PLUS the exact scorers, you receive a bonus of: 10pts

5) Just for participating you receive: 5pts/per match (this way those who participate constantly will be rewarded with this bonus)

Some IMPORTANT tips:

1) Submit predictions of scores and scorers BEFORE each match kick-off (predictions made after kick-off will not be accepted)

2) When writing down the names of the players who you think will score, if you think a player will score twice, write his name twice or indicate 2 next to his name. Same applies for hat-tricks and so on.

3) Predict for ALL Milan official matches (Coppa Italia matches, Champions League matches and Serie A matches)

4) Try not to miss any predictions, but especially when it comes to big matches, some of them (especially toward the end of the season) will count double! So you don’t want to miss them.

5) If you think you won’t be able to make predictions for coming matches, but you still want to participate, just PM me your predictions in advance and I will count them.

And remember, all predictions are to be accepted only BEFORE each match kick-off!

Our defending Prediction League Champion is GIPSON. To see last season’s AC Milan Prediction League Standings, go here:

http://www.milanmania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14925&page=95&pp=15

Any questions or comments please post here or just PM me. Also, be sure to let me know if you have ANY suggestions/complains at all regarding the rules. I know we have been having almost the same rules for almost 2 years now, so if you have any ideas on some new rules that can make the game better and more fun, just let me know.

Do your best and lets make it fun! Good Luck!

well, as Lombardia mentioned, there is the Serie A Prediction League....but that of course doesn't ask for 'exact results' predictions, so I have to answer 'no' to your question....

however....

Something like you mentioned can be used in the Serie A Prediction League....for certain matchdays (the most interesting ones maybe)...a chance for people to get extra points you know? I'm going to talk to BG1 about it (he will take care of the Serie A Prediction League again) and then we will propose it to see what people thinks about it...

ideas always welcomed! keep them coming.

[Goirre]

I see we already have new participants, great! welcome and good luck!

[housin7]

and Stez can start EPL prediction League! :coffee:

[TheCrow]

Im just optimistic, as far as i remember, it is rare to have a super hat-trick in Milan, even when we kicked Inter's a**, 6 goals by 3 players .. But I always think starter matches bring luck to the team ..

Well, obviously nobody got off to a good start, few predicted Seedorf to score, and other than them, everyone got only the 5 points awarded for participating.

It's great to see a lot of people participating from the beggining, hopefully even more people will join us. Anyway, if you have any questions about your points awarded or if you see I made a mistake giving points or anything at all during this Prediction League season, please let me know.

Good luck for the next prediction:

In the AC Milan Prediction League you can predict for ALL Milan official matches (Coppa, League and Champions League). If you miss a prediction you only miss a chance to earn points, but other than that it doesn't affect you, just keep participating as much as possible! good luck!

ok, let me check it again:

Bologna 0 - 2 AC Milan.....and you predicted Bologna 0 - 1 AC Milan

therefore you get 20 points: 5 for participating, 5 for correctly predicting Sheva to score, and 10 for correctly predicting Milan to win.

Shakhtar 0 - 1 AC Milan....and you predicted Shakhtar 0 - 2 AC Milan

therefore you get 15 points: 5 for participating, 10 for correctly predicting Milan to win.

So your total score adds up to 35 pts....and the Standings read 35 pts....so looks like everything is in order :) (for once I am right! :D )

[Milanista ID]

Yo Carlos  just ignore my previous post, i thought ur post (after Bologna match) was total score/standing, i'm sorry for my stupidity :stupid: :D
