Cagliari and Inter next.

we must beat both these teams, the common perception is that the minnows infront of us like messina, cagliari and chievo will drop away eventually but we must get rid of them soon as possible to concentrate on staying with juve. Juve also playe messina next week so either we will jump up to places in to 3rd or better yet stay 4th but draw level with Juve but only if we win.
Of course then we HAVE to beat our city rivals, this will be a true test of metal, last season we where characterised by taking almost maximum points from all the other big teams, and we have to prove we'll continue that tradition by beating Inter, preferrably 7-0.

great result today, fingers crossed for the next 2 weeks.

Forza milan

This "crucial games to win" is just worthless yapping as long as they are not elimination games. there is 38 games in the season and it more or less do not matter which ones we win as long as we finish with more points.

ok maybe not crucial but i feel results in these games will weigh more heavly on the season than others. after 8 weeks the table starts to take shape and climbing positions has to be done over 2-3 results than just one win plus this would put us behind a lot more teams than loss' later will

I can't wait for the Barcelona - Inter combo.....I hope we will have our little problems (especially in defense) all worked out by then

One game at a time, people! It's natural to get excited to see a derby plus the most in-form team in Europe looming ahead, but we can't look beyond Cagliari especially when Milan is playing away and with fitness and set-piece issues. The team has already unneccessarily leaked away points from new teams. They can't afford to do it again.

By the way, what's this smilie mean? Let's party?

:djn:

Where's the "overload" and "overkill" smilies?

It`s good that Cagliari have sold Mboma - he was a heck of a player. I remember last time Milan played away again Cagliari .. we even missed a penalty (thnx Bierhoff)

Oh I know, but I still can't wait for those matches to come.....this has nothing to do with not focusing on the matches that come before first. Afterall every match means 3 points.... regardless of the rival.

Heh same here, I hope Mancio can find a defense that works by that time though.

Last time I checked a season was 7-8 months long and not a couple of weeks - every gameday is crucial no matter wheter it is the 1st or the last one. Whoever forgets that will be winning trophies more rarely than even Inter.

ok ok blah, I was obviously wrong, i hope inter beat us.

haha, you are hoping the impossible :D ....anyway, I don't think you were wrong, maybe 'crucial' wasn't the word but these next 3 games will certainly have an impact on our near future.....obviously not only because of the points (I mean, if it was only for the points then all the matches would have to be considered equally important....which I don't think is the case)

I find every match to be crucial as we have to keep up with the pace setters or be pace setters ourselves. Simply put we must always look for the win and nothing else if we intend to do as well as last year

Ive been waiting for thiss game a long time....after Valencia we will deal with Milan. Hopefully, our strikers have recovered and it looks like Mancini has found a way to help cover the defence. But like I said, 1st the Champions league...

I agree these games are crucial especially for our international image..i prefer to lose, if i must choose, against chievo rather than against Merde or Barca, in front of 1.000.000.000 viewers all around the world
