good start for the milan players during the wc qualifiers! shev scored for ukraine during their 1-1 draw with greece, and tomasson has just scored for denmark! would be nice if rino could get on the scoresheet for italy ;)

in the 1st half Italy had couple of decent opportunities but Gilardino, Totti and Camoranesi just couldn't find the target.
in the 2nd half things were getting tougher as rain fell onto the pitch. Luca Toni's shot hit the bar and then Italy conceeded a goal from set-piece.
Overall Nesta and Gattuso played fairly good. except Nesta's challenge early in the game. He got cautioned tho..

I posted this somewhere else, but I guess I will post it here too:

Kaka just scored twice in Brazil's victory over Venezuela (final score 5-2)....good job Kaka! Cafu and Dida also played, I'm not sure how they performed though.

Crespo was going to start against Uruguay today, but got injured and was sent back to Italy...too bad for him, it would have been a great chance to see him in action...anyway, Argentina won 4-2 and Coloccini got a start.

But the most important news of the day (probably only to me :D ) is that Bolivia defeated Peru....now we face Uruguay on Tuesday. VAMOS BOLIVIA!!!!!

Yeah and that goal was beautiful! I couldn't belive it was Becks..ah It was so nice to see him and Giggs play at Old Trafford again,like back in the old days.Well..that was when I didn't hate Man Utd..haha :neww:

kaka's first goal was a cracker? wasn't it a rather 'easy' one though? venezuela didn't put any effort enought to stop him and all he did was dribble through gaping venezuelan defenders and shot.

oh, I might get the wrong goal anyway. but just wondering.
