the headers like Henry
the loyalty of Vieri
the tackling of Paul Scholes
has the crossing of Gronkjaer

Is it per chance not a coincidence that most players on this list play either in EPL or for Inter ;)

don't your perfect player must have the ability to stay calm in tense situations, just like rooney, oh and he should have the brains of beckham ;)

The perfect player is...quite simply....Maldini. He has speed, strength, reads the game well and anticipates, keeps a level head, doesn't get into scuffles on the field that could end up hurting the team, leads by example, works as hard as he can game in and game out, and has class both on and off the field. If he has any faults it would be his tendency to push himself to rush back from an injury too soon. Now what more could anyone want in a player??

You are so right, Debs....
And Maldini is also a perfect professional, he really is doing his job for 100% and sometimes even more.
And I know no other guy with his state of duty who can go on being a teamplayer, always putting the wellness of the team on the first place.
And he is even able to live a private life as normal as possible.

He's the perfect player indeed !!!!

It`s actually a long story why I like him.
Apperantly he`s not the b*tch that we see on the field..my dads 2 friends lived beside him for 6 years, and they say he`s a normal nice guy. :D

no offense if u feel i am intending to do so... but mijhalovic is a player i always viewed as a punk or a thug and he would never become a player i like even if he became a milan player... he is probably the player with the worst attitude in football history according to me.

i'm serbian...but i don't like mihijlovic as a soccer player...especially after seeing him spit in players faces. what he's like in everyday life is different i know...but it doesn't interest me.

hmm, the discussion here has just made me think of Inter's pride...

Mihajlovic and Materazzi, the nicest pairing of defenders in Serie A/argubly world football

edit: Forgot to mention, as far as spitting goes, Rijkaard is the king. Who can ever forget what he did to Voller's hair in 1990!

the perfect player has the skills of:
Buffon + Nesta + Zidane + Sheva

the closest would have to be Gianlucca Zambrotta. he's can play like anywhere!
most versatile player in the world IMO.

Currently, there's a guy can be closer to perfect. And he's the Barca's no.10.
Enough for all of my fantacies of football !!
So impressed me....
Totally deserved as fifa player of the year 2004 !!

In 95-97, there's another guy so close to perfect. That guy was the Barca's no.9.
Awesome !!
Always performed one man show and fantacy brilliant skill.
Now the phenomenon down become world class striker.
