Kaka pushes forward and crosses for Crespo, but nothing comes of it. Were beginning to push forward, but nothing of real note so far.
Looks like were working through the left a lot.
Palermo just had a chance but Dida collects
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACMILAN1983

The game is being played at a high pace with neither side holding posession brilliantly so far. Zauli seems to be quite a threat tonight
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 15:24
Kaka has a shot from distance but its off target
Palermo look dangerous again threatning Dida. We must be careful
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ps - where is everyone??
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 15:29
Pirlo takes a corner and its in towards Crespo, but its dealt with. Were still attacking but it ends without a result
FORZA MILAN!
Thanks for the updates ACMILAN1983!! :)

btw, Sheva heads a cross from Pirlo or Kaka, but its wide
its fairly even so far, but were now starting to control play more
Yellow card for Rino
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cross in for Crespo but its intercepted
come on!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 15:41
Palermo pushed forward where Billy made an excellent interception, then Sheva tried to counter, but it broke down.
Were in posession...
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS - is anyone besides Helena actually here?
Keep on updating please. :)
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 15:43
Dida makes a miracle save!!!!
Were not ourselves tonight!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps - thanks for saying something Herou. I'll keep going, I just thought I'd better check someones out there ;)
gattuso and pancaro tried their lucks. 0-0 still
very bad passing at the moment... bad receiving from kaka, 2 missed passes for rino.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 15:47
We pushed forward, but Palermo defence seem very solid, not much happening
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it seems that we are not very well motivated.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 15:48
Crespo and Sheva combined, but nothing comes of it
We need to improve
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice play from dhorasso, pass to kaka, bad finishing went out :)
I hope Vikash can score tonight. :)
Come on Milan!
dorahsoo found room for kaka', but kaka lost the ball when trying to dribble into the small box.
seems that we have many bad passings.

Costacurta has been great so far, showing he's far from over.
The match has really lost its edge now with us pushing, but never threatening the opponents.
Yellow card Morrone
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not many good chances for either sides. palermo keeps launching long/high balls to toni, who is quite well contained by our old guards.
crespo was allowed little room, our efforts mainly come from the midfielder, kaka was not very sharp today. seems like people are sleepy.
Costacurta has been great so far, showing he's far from over.
Im never worried when Costacurta gets the chance to play. He is always doing a great job. A true Milan legend!

We usually plays better in the second half... letīs hope itīs one of those days :D
Seedorf should play at least half of the last 45 minutes.... he should be motivated now that Dhorasoo is showing his fantastic skills and is challenge him for his regular spot in the starting lineup.... maybe his long range shots can open up the Palermo defense....
end of first half
bad one.
ACMILAN1983

half time 0-0
One word for this match so far...disappointing.
Not much is happening and our side seems to lack an edge in the attack. Good news is were getting better as the match goes on as we were a little edgy in defence at the start.
Billy and Dida deserve credit for their work in the first half, but beside that, no one has done much of note.
Hopefully Carlo will give the players a kick up the *** before the second half.
Lets get the win!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why did we stop being lethal away from home?
Last year we created countless chances when playing away and the opponent trying to attack in front of their own fans...

it should be ***es. :grinser: it takes a whole team to win a game.
is it cold in temperature? 'cause i think we are not warmed up well, at least it doesn't seem so.
i am having my fingers crossed for a wonderful secnod half. :devf:

different seasons have different stories, naturally. last season, we beat roma (x2), lazio (x2), inter (x2), juventus. this season, we haven't had best luck facing "big" sides, even though we have better team. i think momentum works its way.
Lads im in work, can't see the game, can you keep me updated on teh score please?

Kaka starts strongly combining with Sheva
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks iregk
kaka shot wide, again, he deosn't look sharp at all. that worries me.
toni almost had a 1-to-1 with dida after a big mistake by our midfielder/defenders.
palermo goalie looks solid and confident.
grosso creates some havoc in our box, maldini is cool enough to clear.
dida knocked billy down. he is fine after a while. :)
tomasson is warming up. maybe we will play him??

Palermo are looking quite dangerous
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you are welcome. i am watching/listening to this online video/sometimes audio, :)
sheva's powerful free kick is collected by the goalie. a nice effort.
how is Dhorasoo doing? hes been on form of late
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:22
Sheva has a low drive saved.
Sheva and Kaka combine again, but Kaka again wastes it
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dhorasoo has been ok (probably one of our better players at times), but none of the side has done much great work attacking wise
dorahsoo is fine, especially in the first half.
kaka though seems a little out of form. :(
you'd think they'd be up for it, given that juve and inter and udinese all regestered wins...
sheva creates a free kick, from a long distance. pirlo takes it and high.
santana is on for palermo.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:25
Santana in for Brienza
Palermo will be pushing forward more I think, which should allow us more space
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
corini booked for a foul on dorahsoo.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:27
Yellow for Corini
Guadelben intercepts before Sheva can run onto a ball
We need a goal, don't care from where
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
31m-free-kick. sheva shoots powerfully. the goalie saved very well.
already one hour into the match. 0-0
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:29
Milan have posession constantly, but still failing to find any opportunities
Were also getting more aggressive, with Palermo defending healvily, however, Palermo are dangerous on the counter
Santana led a counter, but it doesn't get anywhere
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:32
Guadalben saves from KAKA!!!!!!
We push forward again.
Grosso got yellow too
Seedorf in for Rino
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a tip for us that cant watch the game. Eurosport have live comments on their website: http://www.eurosport.com/home/pages/v4/l0/s22/e6873/live_lng0_spo22_evt6873.shtml
dorahsoo and pirlo shows great skills dominating the midfield.
what happened? seems that we just got the best chance, but i missed it.
seedorf for gattuso, not the best birthday gift for rino: a yellow. :)
65' KAKA SURGES THROUGH THE MIDDLE AND FIRES LOW PAST GUARDALBEN.. THE KEEPER JUST GETS ENOUGH OF A HAND ON IT TO PUSH IT ACROSS THE FACE OF GOAL AND ABOUT A FOOT WIDE OF THE LEFT-HAND POST!!!!!!! Best chance of the match so far!!!
67' Gattuso is replaced by Seedorf
i think we are pressing forward and creating chances constantly now, the goals should come soon or later, well, better sooner than later. :)
the goalie saved an own-goal. :o
20 minutes left, dida collects the ball easily.
seedorf is not as slow as i thought. :D
zauli is off, gonzalez is on.
toni's header was very dangerous!!!! wide.
our midfielders keep losing balls in the past few minutes, exposing our defense right in front of their forwards.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:41
damn, the radio I was listening to has crashed. I'll still provide updates.
We had a deflected shot which had to be tipped over
Come on!!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!
palermo creates problem for us. luckily no damage is done.
Come on now Rossoneri! We must keep up with Juve!
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:43
Ambro for Dhorasoo (strange sub to me)
We pushing forward a lot!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dorahsoo off , ambrosini on.

JDT in for Crespo!!!
COME ON, ONE GOAL PLEASE!!!
Also, Kaka's throughball is intercepted
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he hits the bar? i thought his shoot was too high. we only have ten minutes left i think.
Fox@Mulder
09-01-2005, 16:49
It didnīt hit the bar?? He shot it over or... ??
Come on Jon, do ya magic.... stand the right place at the right time and give us that one goal.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:49
yellow for Kaka!!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ps - sorry for the mistake, I was typing too fast to realise I left out "over" at first, I fixed it soon after
corner for us. seeforf cross cleared. kaka fouled stopping their counter attack.
It didnīt hit the bar?? He shot it over or... ??
Come on Jon, do ya magic.... stand the right place at the right time and give us that one goal.
i think he shoots it over the bar.
cafu couldn't catch up a good through-ball from pirlo. the palermo fans begin chanting.
very good combination and teamwork in palermo's box. seedorf's nice shoot blocked, too crowed. too many legs.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:54
Corner to Milan!
COME ON!!!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
palermo had a chance. weak shot collected by dida.
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 16:55
Dida gets down to make a save.
Looks like a 0-0 is looming
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
we put the scudetto into jeopardy tonight...
not that we can't close the 4-point gap, it's more from a mental point of view, Juve now know that we can slip up any time whereas we seemed an unbeatable squad lately
too bad...
a corner. may be the last chance. it is 91st minute now.
another corner.
Fox@Mulder
09-01-2005, 17:00
Damn Ft 0-0 :(
ACMILAN1983
09-01-2005, 17:00
Seedorf''s volley goes just wide
SteVen, its not even half way yet, 4 points isn't a big gap either ;) (consider it a 2 point gap as we will beat Juve next time!)
btw, Palermo had a good counter at the end, but a weak shot as the matche finishes
We dropped 2 points today, but I have no doubts about us catching Juve at this point
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!
we didn't try to capitalize the corner.
palermo almost scored in the last minute. dida collects the ball.
game is over. 0-0. how disappointing.
Billy_Montreal
09-01-2005, 17:01
final corner???
Final Whistle....0-0
ONce again we outplayed the opposition but were unable to get that damn ball in the net
we lost too many points to those new teams: messina, livorno, palermo
true, but i still feel confident that we will snatch it.
just to put you all in better mood, next game is at home to Udinese!!! incidentally juve are away to caglari that week.
seems the game on the 8th of may could be vital, at least we are at home!
Final Whistle....0-0
ONce again we outplayed the opposition but were unable to get that damn ball in the net
the goalie is fantastic. but we didn't play very well either. our play wasn't smooth at all. i don't know what is the matter with kaka. he was not sharp, and lost much sense of touch today. sheva tried very hard, but kaka wasted too many chances. seedorf was fine playing, but the goalie simply was brilliant. no way to get past him.
now the gap is again the damn 4 point. this is so depressing, considering the merda could score three goals in five minutes when they needed three goals. i guess this just isn't our day. even our birthday boy didn't get to play for 90 minutes and received a yellow instead. :angf:
keep your chin up people, hopefully the team will learn from this match.
i seldom got the chance to catch the online video, every time i didn't get to see it, milan won. finally, after 3 hours' searching and trying, this one worked (not always, sometimes it only had audio, sometimes the video flow was like slides, but anyway.) milan couldn't score once. maybe the coming matches, i simply should not watch. ;)
Anyways we didn't deserve a victory at all... if anything we played abit better in the second half but practically sucked in the first half...
sorry people if i'm repeating but i didn't read what had been written here before.. :)
why are a lot of people getting nervous and that. its only jan, 4 points now is nothing, its the fixture in may that will count for everything, relax folks how many times have we seen milan in worse situations and came back to win, 99 sound familiar?
why are a lot of people getting nervous and that. its only jan, 4 points now is nothing, its the fixture in may that will count for everything, relax folks how many times have we seen milan in worse situations and came back to win, 99 sound familiar?
not that i don't have confidence in our team, but juventus is different from lazio. i am concerned because i don't want to see our morale damaged. if we can't win when we need to, that will be an issue. and leading by 4 points is always better than trailing by 4. having said all that, i am still quite optimistic about this season's scudetto. we have a good chance.
by the way, was it cold today? i saw that our players weren't warmed up enough, they weren't very motivated. if it is cold, then night match surely didn't help this problem. :d33:
keep your chin up people, hopefully the team will learn from this match.
Well, it's the same thing every time Milan plays a newbie. Always that same old story. The whole game can be spelled in one word: UNDERESTIMATE!

Player ratings anyone ?
A little disappointing to hear of the result though. Although catching up on a 4-point lead is absolutely possible, i still much prefer the 2-point gap. We now have to pray that Juve will slip again.
Dida - amazing save from Morrone, solid as usual ... 7
Pancaro - kind of the elefant. He never hides, he always offers his assistance but the crosses too often lack quality this season ... 5.5
Costacurta - flawless performance by Billy, Toni was nowhere to be seen ... 7
Maldini - Milan's best player, got in the way of everything, good old Paolo ... 7.5
Cafu - more quiet than usual offensively but did his duty in the other end ... 6
Gattuso - needless to say he worked hard, won many balls but his crosses lacked accuracy ... 6
Pirlo - our best midfielder on the night, such a delight to follow our most elegant player ... 7
Dhorasoo - despite his size he's strong and wins many balls. Solid display ... 6.5
Kaka' - not the best of performances from the Brazilian but that says a lot about his high standards since he was the man behind our biggest chance and was involved in a handful of promising attacks ... 6
Crespo - difficult match for the Argentinian, often surrounded by 2-3 opponents and didn't get enough crosses to work with ... 6
Sheva - wasn't really his night. He kept trying but did not succeed in threatening their goal seriously ... 6
Subs:
Seedorf - when he entered it was as if the speed of our game improved. Came to a huge goalscoring chance after Sheva's pass but apparently wasn't aware of how much time he had so he wasted it with a rash finish ... 6
Ambro and Tomasson - got too little time for me to rate them.
Well, it's the same thing every time Milan plays a newbie. Always that same old story. The whole game can be spelled in one word: UNDERESTIMATE!
Do not think so seriously, esp. after I watch the match, I don't see how MIlan underestimate them at all...

Milan's flowing game against Lecce wasnt seen yesterday evening. Quite a number of blunders made by Milan (Maldini included) was a real cause of worry. Maybe its the weather, maybe its complacent over newly-promoted teams, whatever the case, it was nothing short of a stalmate. Palermo was really pitting against the Serie A champion. Their attack was threatening , their defence was organised. Cannot believe my eyes they r actually Palermo.
But the one thing i am happy is Milan did not lose this. There were serveral chance for Palermo to put 1 behind us but Dida was to save our blushes. Overall, i dun think Milan was poor but it is Palermo whom was performing really well @ their Sicillian home. Credits to them.
Lets focus on extending the lead between the top 2 among the others against Udi :firedev:

4 points is nothing. We will catch up with Juve. Just let the Champions league fixtures begin.
Palermo has the 3rd best defensive record in Serie A, behind Juve and you guessed it, Milan. Overall we created enough chances to win the match but the one thing missing is SCORING. We've failed to score in our last 2 away games in Serie A (albeit to 2 of the best defensive sides) but in both of those games we created more than enough chances to snatch 3 points. Let's just hope it's not 4 costly points dropped come May

Well, not the best result, but were still in the hunt to say the least.
The performance wasn't as bad as it could have been and in the second half we improved a lot.
Dida was very solid and didn't have so much to do, but made one amazing save.
Cafu was solid, nothing special going forward.
Pancaro was also solid, supported attacking moves well, but seems to lack distribution
Billy was great, very good performance.
Maldini was himself, solid as ever
Pirlo was one of our best on the night, showing great distribution of the ball
Dhorasoo played a decent game, but not as good as his other performances of late
Gattuso worked hard, but attacking wise gave the ball away too often
Kaka wasn't at his best. Had a few shots which weren't bad, but overall lacked the quality we have come to expect.
Sheva was fairly decent, often forced deep, but had a couple of decent free kicks and was at times setting up others
Crespo was crowded out
I won't say much about the subs beside Seedorf, who did reasonably when on, but his finishing was poor (especially when he was put through by Sheva)
We weren't bad, but wasted our chances. Palermo's defence deserves credit and really forced us to take long shots (which were often quite close).
We'll catch up with Juve, no need to worry yet ;)
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!

While I only saw the second half of the game, I must say that we didnt look our best in the final third of the pitch.
IMO, Kaka was not having the best of nights, and to me this seemed the perfet match to put in Rui....but Carlo seems to have found his pet player, and come hell or high water, form or the lack thereof, he will play.
Another sub that had me scratching my head was Dhorasso off for Ambro....again, it seems that Carlo isnt happy when he doesnt have a defensive mid on the pitch. That to me sums up what I dislike about Carlo...his overwhelming tendancy to be defensive minded....a more attack minded coach would have more offensive players on the pitch, but I guess we still have enough time in the season to make this game NOT a MUST win.....
Rui's continued absence is a worry to me, as I dont believe he will be here next season, and we need to make the most of his presence this term.
Dhorasso and Rui on the pitch together should be something sweet to behold, as they both can hold on to the ball as they meander through packed defenses....then unleash a crucial pass after their dribbling has created space.
Why then is Carlo so hung up on Kaka? He wasnt having the worst of days, but he could have made way for Rui, while leaving Vikash on...
Ah well, its back to a 4 point defecit, and while that may not seem like much to some, and in reality given where we are in the season, it really isnt, but then again, it is Juve we are trailing, with Don Capello at the helm of a team of proven professionals, still smarting from successive seasons of finishing behind Milan (UCL before, then scudetto last season)...not a pretty picture indeed.
So while some may feel that we are still in with a chance, we cannot afford too many slip-ups like yesterday's, as I guarantee you that Juve will make little or no slip-ups to help us out.
we lost this game becuz crespo didn touch the ball, Kaka has lost his ability to shot and lacks some of the dribblin skills he had last year, seedorf was crap when he came on, sheva didn have a good day, and instead of takin shots on target and crossing the ball, our mid jus kept makin stupid passes and buildin up. in a game like this, i think it would have been better to play rui instead of crespo
Ciao!!!
well...the match has been so exciting both Rossoneri I think and Palermitani as well!
Anyway...i was to the 'Favorita and to be honest i really like Milan's play. Palermo has been GREAT as well and Guardalben&Dida have been the main protagonists of tha match. They saved the 0-0!
KAKA' in the half time wasn't so brilliant as the last 45mins.
Damn Guardalben and his hand as well! :rock3:
Being a sicilian 100% in tha match and support Milan wasn't so easy as u can imagine...; probably u're more and more angry than me about the 0-0 but to be honest i'm proud too about Palermo, and a draw has been RIGHT for the play they made, both Milan and Palermo!!!
Enjoy UDINESE now!!!
and keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep fings. a lot crooooooooooooooossed!!!
Ciao ciao....
Another sub that had me scratching my head was Dhorasso off for Ambro....again, it seems that Carlo isnt happy when he doesnt have a defensive mid on the pitch. The answer is your question is simple: Rui is not as fast as Kaka`, and I have also asked myself this queitson: Will it be bettr to put in Rui really? In the beginning definitely no, but towards the end? It's hard to say. Don't forget, Kaka` is the one who creates the almost-goal shoot, (and a resulting yellow card for the other team)... can Rui do that? This is the question that we need to ask.
Ambro's sub is, on the other hand, obvious to me. It seems that many of you do not appreciate Ambro's ability. Wait, I'm not even talking about his tackling ability. It's his 'header' ability. If you have looked at his position + running, 9/10 times when there is a cross coming, he is the one darted to head the ball (that is, if the cross ever be made). He is MORE than JUST a DM like Gattuso. I can't imagine Gattuso rushing to the penalty area to score from a header. Not at all. It seems that the attitude here towards Ambro is that he can only defense, which is not true. I always bleieve iin Ambro's ability in header, and I still do.
And by the way, you are definitely looking for 'evidence to fit your theory'. And I'll do the same. I see Seedorf, a less defensive mid-fielder substituted Gattuso, a heavily defensive mid-fielder. And I also see that after Seedorf come in, there is very few tackling in the midfield, compared to the time beofre Gattuso made his exit. I'll let you ponder on this point.
And I don't see any guarantee here that Juventus won't slip. By saying that, it seems that you have reached the conclusion that Milan is going to slip. From a Juve. fan point of view, I would be equally worrying because I would say, "Milan is not going to slip". This statement is therefore, groundless. By saying that Capello has a team with proven players, so do we. And we have Ancelotti, who is not as well-known as Capello but who is nevertheless a great tactician. In saying so, even until now, juve fan will say, "We can't slip anymore, becuase I guarantee you that Milan won't slip anymore."
we lost this game becuz crespo didn touch the ball, Kaka has lost his ability to shot and lacks some of the dribblin skills he had last year, seedorf was crap when he came on, sheva didn have a good day, and instead of takin shots on target and crossing the ball, our mid jus kept makin stupid passes and buildin up. in a game like this, i think it would have been better to play rui instead of crespo
1) We didn't lose the game.
2) Kaka has shot and almost made a goal in the end. He did not lose his ability to shoot. IN this case, everyone on t he field seems to have lost the touch of scoring. Otherwise it wouldn't be a 0-0.
3) Seedorf have a field decent chance and had held the ball better than Gattuso. He is NOT CRAP.
4) Sheva had a o-kay day. He doesn't score doesn't mean that he doesn't have a good day. HE has 2 shot from freekick, both on target, only to be saved by the GK.
5) There are not much room (thanks to Palmero's defense) to take shot. And when we shot, it's blocked by the defenders in the way.
6) We crossed the ball but it didn't reach and got out for corner. The only thing hyou can complain is that freekcik and corners were atrocious (except for Sheva's fk)
7) It's not stupid pass. It's because there are not much room down there when there were 10 players defending. I don't know how you define a smart pass by the way.
Please. Before you make some bold statements like this, think twice. It's really hateful to see post like this.
8) And when Rui came in, you'll say that he played like crap if we didn't score, as it happened to Seedorf.
Again, nothing of the post is based on evidence but emotion.
To be honest I fell so sad about draw and I feeld ashamed alot

The answer is your question is simple: Rui is not as fast as Kaka`, and I have also asked myself this queitson: Will it be bettr to put in Rui really? In the beginning definitely no, but towards the end? It's hard to say. Don't forget, Kaka` is the one who creates the almost-goal shoot, (and a resulting yellow card for the other team)... can Rui do that? This is the question that we need to ask.
I strongly believe, as was evidenced when Rui was a starter, before the Brazilian's arrival, that YES HE CAN do what Kaka did, as a matter of fact, when he is in posession, one of the few ways to get the ball from his feet is to foul him.
While the Portugese international doesnt score as much as I think he could, his vision, passing and dribbling are equaled only by Kaka in the present Milan line up, and because Kaka was not in the best of form, especially in the latter stages of the match, Rui IMO should have been given the chance.
Ambro's sub is, on the other hand, obvious to me. It seems that many of you do not appreciate Ambro's ability...... Wait, I'm not even talking about his tackling ability. It's his 'header' ability.
Yes indeed, Ambro is a good header of the ball, one of our better players in the box as an arial threat, however, we did absoloutley nothing from crosses and set pieces in that game..and by nothing I mean we did not score, or look threatening apart from Sheva's strikes. IMO, Dhorasso looked more likely to create chances through the middle, and it is my view that the safest surefire way to beat a packed defense is by dribbling then making a killer pass....Ambro does not have this talent, and Cafu and Pancaro were staying home, and not maurading up the flanks sending in crosses for Ambro to head in anyway....
I'll let you ponder on this point.....
I am a scientist, so of course I must find/provide supporting evidence for my opinion/theory... :howler:
I do agree that we may have lost some of our tackling potential with Gattuso out, but what is the point of Gattuso winning the ball, then making a bad pass and giving it right back to Palermo? Not to say that this is what happened 9 times out of 10 with Rino, but hey, what was required of Rino he was unable to produce with consistency, the combination of ball winning, and simple passing to retain posession.
My position on the above is this: While Milan have stumbled spectacularly this term, Juve has failed so to do....and while that is not enough evidence to go on, and indeed with this season in its middle stages, and a whole other half to play, Juve have an important ally in the many many many refs that they seem to have in their pocket, so their ability to get favourable results seems much more assured than ours.
Also IMO, Don Capello is a much better tactician and motivator than Carlo is, with an even better track record, and it is for these reasons my dear Jeff, that I have formed the theory that Juve will not slip up to the extent that we may need them to, if we keep getting bad results (ie less than 3 points) from the minnows we should be gobbling up.

mate if you felt ashamed of this team you're simply not good enough to be a milanista
i mean, if it took such a small event to make you feel ashamed change team.

no I never will change Milan and I've alwas trust Milan and I do
deserve to be Milanista but I was in bad mode for this reason I say
that
Froza Milan
1) We didn't lose the game.
2) Kaka has shot and almost made a goal in the end. He did not lose his ability to shoot. IN this case, everyone on t he field seems to have lost the touch of scoring. Otherwise it wouldn't be a 0-0.
3) Seedorf have a field decent chance and had held the ball better than Gattuso. He is NOT CRAP.
4) Sheva had a o-kay day. He doesn't score doesn't mean that he doesn't have a good day. HE has 2 shot from freekick, both on target, only to be saved by the GK.

1. We didn win against palermo and juve are up again by 4 pts i consider that a loss
2.Kaka had a lot of shots and barely any of them were decent or at the net, he shot much better last year
3.Seedrof was on for about 20 min and took 3 dumb shots, he had a very good chance but it equalled to nothing. Seedrof usually does this, starts good in the beginning, plays crap in the middle of the season and finishes off good. im glad that dhorasso is on form so that there is some competition and seedrof doesnt have a spot in starting eleven guaranteed
4. We have seen sheva play n we noe what he is capable of, against palermo he was below par and had a bad day.
5. I agree that there wasnt much room but u have to admit, we werent aggresive enuff, near the end we woke up n started to take shots
6. Free kicks, corners have always been wasted. Sheva shud always take our free kicks from now on because he has power
7. they were stupid passes, well not stupid, useless. They got us nowhere we just passed the ball around instead of crossing the ball in to crespo. Crespo's name was mentioned like 2 times durin the game.
8. Ancelotti shud have been smarter n put on rui from beginnig of 2 period. Crespo didnt touch the ball at all during 1 period, Rui wud have changed the game.

i was sad to see milan draw with palermo..
but lets look on the good side.. milan's defence is really good as of late... we only had 1 prob in defence and it was only when Nesta got sent off against Lecce.. other than that, we are having a good spell at defence and having alot of clean sheets.. i cant imagine how would it be when Stam comes back.. Cafu - Stam - Nesta - Maldini.. damn, thats a defence lineup i'd wanna see.. too bad i gotta wait till Sunday to see it! Do you think Carlo will use that defence against Udinese?

sigh...all the criticism starts again... com'on its only a DRAW!! not like we lost or something. Is 4 points very big a gap? We still have more than 10 matches in our hands, y all the yakking about Milan should change this, Milan should do that when this is the team that made Juve run around like monkeys. No ones complaining when we drew with them.
Cut Milan some slack man, they are HUMANS afterall :D

That I have no problem. but stating that "because MIlan lost the game" without giving your reasons (as indicated in this post) is on the other hand sicking.
I'm not into this aruging with 'what shall be posted or what not"... I guess it needs some self-judgement and responsibility...
The only question I have for you is: If Milan won 1-0, can you come up with this 8 points? Simple question, and I'm waiting for your answer.

For this I have to agree with you, but from day 1 Ancelotti has trusted Kaka` just like he has trusted Crespo back in Parma. And he was right.

This I have no argument. You are right again that Gattuso is not a good passer, and also Dhorasso is better than Ambro in terms of organizing the play.
That's why Juve got 2 stars while we only have 1 star hahahhahaa!
I still cannot agree iwth this point, however, because yes, Capello from stat. is a better tactician than Ancelotti, but Ancelotti has shown us what he can do. Isn't a 3-2 come back from the 2nd half against Inter is a source of motivation? Capello is a strong coach, but I don't see how Ancelotti shall automatically be compared 'DOWN'... afterall, Ancelotti has beaten Capello once last term, and, with some luck, Ancelotti could have won with Juventus (albeit the referee). Capello is a great coach, no one here doubts, but is Ancelotti that bad? i'm worried that people are influenced by people's talk of the fact that he is 'such a defensive' coach, but if you observe carefully, he is not really. He is not doing what he thinks is right.
There are times when you need to defend, and I'm sure you won't argue with me in this point. When to defend and when to attack (and when I say this setnence, it means that we ourselves have already defined 'defend' and 'attack', which is not fair becuase only Ancelotti knows it) is up to a great coach. See why Real flopped even though they had so many stars? It's just one example.
An entertaining coach will field all the attacking player. A smart coach will field players who can bring him the victory. Both coaches are equally strong, with Capello having more 'tough' essence, but whether Ancelotti has that boldness and courage to catch up? It is still yet to see.
I thought Rino played very poorly , he really should be dropped.
haha no he shudnt, he is one of our best players. n yea if i wanted to rite 8 point i cud. i cud cooment on how good each one of our played or how good the crosses were but i wudnt becuz them bein good is something we have come to expect from them

I thought Rino played very poorly , he really should be dropped.
surely your not saying Rino should be dropped for a single performance?
either way, can you say why he should be dropped?
So it seems that the argument is pretty baised... and we are treating the players like machine (and even machines break down sometimes.)

Jeff, I dont consider Ancelotti as being "all that bad" a coach, I just have a difference of opinion insofar as his team selection is concerned, and not all the time, but quite often.
Statistics bear me out in terms of who is a more winning coach...but I agree with you 110% that a coach has to select the team lineup/ substitute that he thinks will deliver the result.
Many in this forum will know that I tend to be very critical of coaches that I feel are inadequate to coach "my club" and "Zaccerphony" I am sure would consider me his worst enemy if he ever read some of my posts during his tenure at Milan.
I subscribe to the belief that the surest way to win a match is not necessarily in preventing the opponent from scoring, even though that is an element that must be kept in mind, but in out-scoring the opponent, and looking to score at every opportunity...there is nothing wrong with defending a 2 goal lead, but we must first establish that lead.
With a bunch of defensive minded players, that is less likely to happen than if there are goal getters or creative players on the pitch...thats my point...
If Carlo thinks that putting on Ambro will give us the goal that we need, while taking Vikash off, then he as coach is correct to make that move...since he in essence kept the balance of the team by putting on Seedorf...the unfortunate result though was that Clarence forgot to wear his goal scoring boots, and indeed, Carlo would have looked the genius if Clarence had come on and scored, instead of kicking a sitter over the bar....

Your last sentence can't be more right. I think the sub. for Seedorf for Gattuso is a great move. I was already thinking of Seedorf for the end of 1st half, but I thought that he is going to take out Dhorasoo instead. But no he didn't, and instead took out Gattuso, who seems can't pass too well. I think this is a bold sub, a sub that almost make his magic work again.
