View Full Version : Coppa Italia (second leg): AC Milan - Palermo

We play Palermo again this week, this time for the Coppa Italia. We won the first match away 2-1, so we "shouldn't" have trouble making it to the next round.

Rumors say Stam might get to play in this match, although there is absolutely no need to rush him. With Kaladze, Simic and Stam out, chances are we will see Nesta, San Billy, Pancaro and either Cafu, San Paolo or Colo starting. As for our midfield, Ambro, Brocchi, Seedorf and especially Rui should be given a start. Upfront we should see JDT partnered by either King Shev or Hernan (can't wait to see SuperPippo back)

We need to stick it to these newly promoted @#$%^&!!!!!!!!!!

A sound thrashing should be the only thing on our minds...wait...whoa, I just had an amazing dream....that Carlo suddenly became attack minded...but then I woke up...

Carlo will opt for a very defensive approach, if I know my coach well..with away goals in our favour, he will prob play JDT up front, with Rui and Dhorasso behind him in a Christmas tree formation...

So, look for another dour draw.

We will advance...at least, we should.

am watching the game guys, the goal was a shot from fully 30 yards out, the ball bounced right in front of him and went it, he should have saved it and it was a total howler, uptil that point we were dominating, dhorasso nearly scored and we were passing it about comfortably, after that we have been sloppy, they have hit the woodwork, and look much more dangerous, stam is doing ok and costacurta is playing lb, with a bit of speed i have to say!!!

players doing well:
nesta, tomasson, seedorf, dhorasso

doing ok:
colocinni, stam, costacurta, broochi,

not so great:
rui costa and ambrosini

not touched the ball:
abbiati

Giovanni

rui is ok, IMO

has made some mistakes but even some good things esp deep in front of the defence

lets hope we can play a little better and concentrate a bit more in the 2nd half to see them off.

Is it just these 4 matches ? Or are there more games to be played tomorrow or something ?

Lombardia
12-01-2005, 16:36
the rest are being played tomorrow, i for one am watching udinese - lecce, cos the first game was a 9 goal thriler which udinese won 5-4!

15 minutes to go....Milan owns the match....looking forward to the quaterfinals, where I think we will be playing the Lecce-Udinese winner, should be interesting

Anyone know how the penalty came about ? If we are playing well, etc, etc ?

Goirre
12-01-2005, 17:12
another change for Milan, Rino in, Dhorasoo out (he played quite good according to the Rai commentators)

Jim_UK
12-01-2005, 17:13
i think i would prefer to play Lecce if that is the case ... Udinese seems to be our bogey team ... although didn't we give them a good thumping when we won the cup 2 seasons ago ? It's a hard choice :googly:

yea, we beat Udinese some time ago in the Coppa, but since then Udinese has improved, and so has Lecce. Any of these two could prove to be a difficult opposition...but beatable of course, I personally don't mind any of them

Esajas Idol :proud:

I think he's a quality player, just needs to lose weight, but he did good things, and can be useful in the future.
He looks a bit like Marsellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction :sun: :delol:

Btw San Siro crowd literally went crazy when Esajas came on the pitch and they cheered every signle pass of action.

Jokes apart i can see he's not a crap player, he's good technique and just need to improve his fitness.
This will be the toughest challenge for Milan Lab but if we can recover such a player, even to let him find a good contract with a smaller club, i will be very happy

Forza Esajas :proud:

Goirre

yea, I heard those cheers for Esajas over the radio, isn't this the guy who was bought in response to Seedorf's request? how old is he? nice to hear he showed good things today

At first , where does he play? When i first saw his name last week's line-up i thought he was a defender
but durin the game he replaced Max in DM
afterwards , we saw him sprinting on left wing and passing a toe-to-toe wonderful pass , but JDT was offside ..
well whoa ,, i can imagine him as a terrifying defender or agressive DM, but never a wing or OM !

Gio we heard those cheers, but why did they cheer ? what i mean is, Crespo was much more famous than Esajas when he first came, but we didnt hear these cheers !

and by the way, can any body help me pronouncing his name ! how can that be pronounced, Esajas .. I think the J letter is not pronounced , like in Hoijdunk .. so is it " ESAS" or " ESAYAS " ?

Forza Tassotti ( i feel he is never mentioned, so i want to give the man some credit :u56: )

Esajas is Seedorfs overaged and under-talanted friend. Don't waste your time tracking this guy, unless you have a very peculiar sense of humour ;)
