We have started brightly with Sheva so far.

28' Milan are desperately unlucky to be behind here.. they have dominated play from the word go... but there was no doubting the quality of Locatelli's finish!! Great exchange of passes with Zagorakis too.

ilgenio
30-01-2005, 10:10
27' Milan 0 - 1 Bologna  (T. Locatelli)

Pirlo lost the ball in midfield, Bologna played some neat passes and a cheeky backheel by Zagorakis into the box was coolly slotted home by ex-Milan boy Locatelli :(

Problem is the fvcking 2 striker thing.

Crespo gives absolutely nothing to the game. We are basically playing with 10men. We need on fast dynamic creative player instead.

30-01-2005, 10:26
Well no surprises so far... Milan has the possesion and dominates the game but still struggles to create real goal scoring opportunities and then as always nowadays "BAM!!" the other team gets a chance and they make the most of it. So we are down again... This is becoming a really frustrating pattern...

Now Sheva is injured and subbed aswell. Well if he is gone then... sigh... Since we didn´t sign Gilardino during January we are desperately awaiting Pippos return.

Sorry, for being a bit negative, but I just saw Sheva again and it looks bad! The situation as it stands right now with the injured strikers and the already big gap in terms of points to Juve really makes worry...

We are currently without bite

HT!

We must improve. Simply put, with sheva out, things are as hard as can be, but we have the talent to get the result here!

The side can't keep trying to force things, PLEASE tell me Ancelotti learnt this lesson last week!!!!

Also, the side has lost its solidarity. I hate to say it, but it seems that those who said Stam has affected this are right :(

Still, can't give up, if we do, we really are losers!

Juve are up, goal scored by Olivera. Now the gap is 8 points, let´s hope second half brings us another outlook. Being 8 points behind and with Sheva & Pippo out, relying solely on Crespo/Tomasson looks quite scary. F uck.

Milan 0 - 1 Bologna [HT]

Milan started well, having the lion share of the possession and sprayed some neat passes. Dhorasoo scored a perfectly legitimate goal but that ****** De Sanctis dreamt up an alleged foul by Dhora on Locatelli and disallowed the goal.

Milan were then hit by the curse known in Italia as "The Revenge of the Ex", as ex-Rossonero Locatelli scored a nicely constructed goal in what was Bologna's 1st attack of the game.

Milan struggled after Bologna's goal and to make matters worse, lost top-scorer Andriy Shevchenko in what looked like a serious ankle injury :wallbang:

It's gonna be a tough 2nd half...

46' Crespo with Milan's first chance of the half.. it looked as though he had lost possession when he slipped over in the box, but somehow he managed to hit the ball from his prostrate position, looping it into the grateful arms of Pagliuca!!

52' Dhorasoo is brought down on the edge of the area by Locatelli, who earns a yellow for his troubles... free-kick in a dangerous position...

50' Kaka with another opportunity for Milan... you have to feel for the reigning champions. The quality of their build-up is unparalleled, but the end product just isn't there today

What a shame...

30-01-2005, 11:29
We ruined the whole season today, as for Serie A, IMO.
As far as I read, we played really badly and did nothing to remind Juve that we are title challengers. Too difficult now for us to overcome this 8-point gap...
And stop complaining about Juve because they have proved to be worthy of their place and have fought and won every single match! 21 games are not a small number to claim that they have been helped too much from the refs...

Even Roma today won 3-2 from 0-2 down. The teams try and win on the pitch. We have failed to do this for 20 days now. So sad.

hope berlusconi and galliani give the boys a lecture..they have played absolutely appauling in the recent games.. and from the beginninng of the season, all they kept saying everytime they got a bad result was "its all in preparation for spring, the season is still long.." .. well guess what? IT IS SPRING, and we're playing like ****..

ffs this game pisses me off, and dont any of u ppl come back saying this is just one game only.. its now like foking 4 games, messina, livorno twice, and bologna.. dont say this is just an episode or some crap like that.. we obviously have a problem.. we also have probs scoring.. and plz dont recall the coppa italia game cuz it wasnt the same players who played..

Bayman
30-01-2005, 11:37
Our play is all unorganized "try and error creativity"....

I'm calling for what I always called for:
A rock in central defensive midfield and a REAL creative offensive player who is dynamic, fast (like Donadoni, Savicevic) who can't just put the ball left and right with an occasional long ball but instead can crack up a tight defense.

almilan
30-01-2005, 11:38

I am watching Atalanta fumble against a solid Juve team, when the dreaded news window showed what I did not want to see, Milan 0, Bologna 1.

I don’t know who Milan is fielding in the starting 11, but I do know that Carlo has picked a team that he thinks is the best 11 to face Bologna.

Juve are mostly all over Atalanta, the team that knocked them out of the Italian Cup…Del Piero is on the bench, and Nedved is out…and the Turin based team is not missing a beat….Milan are missing Nesta, but surely Billy and Paolo should be able to halt anything Bologna had to throw at us, but some how Locatelli managed to score.

The goal Juve scored was a beaut, one time from a through ball from Emerson, and Olivera one-timed it, over the onrushing keeper and into the net….with Kaka and Pirlo, Sheva and Crespo, why cant we do the same vs Bologna? :dconf:

Why does Rui Costa continue to languish on the bench, yet play in the Italian Cup with all the skill and intelligence of a starter? I guess he cant seem to please Carlo, yes, whom I blame for our loss against Livorno, and now, who should be the scape-goat in this current debacle? :dconf:

How might the tone of this missive change if Milan were to score now….and at the half, there has been no update, so I know that Milan haven’t scored, unless I missed the equalizer while shining my son´s shoes….well, lets log on to the net to see what livescore has to tell me, as well as my fellow milanistas on Milanmania…..

Its half time, and we are losing at home….just great. :pchate:

I have just reviewed the starting line up….Serghino…”he who tackles not”, is starting over Rui Costa….what a joke. :yuck:

The posters are saying how well we are playing, but to give up a goal….to an away team just dying for an excuse to defend…hmmm not good….then I read that Sheva, one of our most reliable scorers, is carried off on a stretcher….to be replaced by a player that cant buy a goal…JDT….this is a patent disaster…at least Juve have not scored again… :dconf:

In my honest opinion, Milan lost the scudetto race last weekend, with the pathetic capitulation to Livorno…Juve have too good a team, too good a coach, to give up the points we need to catch them. This weekend’s potential result will see us completely out of it, even if not mathematically, knowing what Juve have in terms of influence over Refs….its more likely that Chelsea will surrender their huge gap, than Juve lose enough points for us to catch up…and that is only possible if we keep winning….which as today´s result is looking, is very unlikely. :moan:

We have half an hour to go now, and hope is ebbing… :sigh: while I am not seeing this match, the Atalanta / Juve game isn’t doing anything to bring my hopes up…we need to score 2 unanswered goals, but in order to do so, we need more creativity than Ivan can give us, in the form of a certain Portuguese maestro…

Speaking of maestro…in an act harkening back to days of Imperial Rome, il emperor Capello has introduced Del Piero to thundering applause from the traveling Juve supporters…
It was a shout of almost equal magnitude that made me look up from my lap top to see the little update window showing what I least wanted to see, that one of our former players, Locatelli, had put one in on his old club…

Time is the enemy now, time and the desperate defending by the Bologna players..who, having achieved their aim of scoring one goal, have retreated into a defensive shell I am sure.

What a way to start a Sunday morning….I wonder if I am being punished for not going to Church with my wife and kids….?

20 minutes to go… :r7:

I am back from dropping the wife and kids to Church…and we have lost another match we absoloutley couldn’t afford to… :broken:

For this season, the scudetto chase is over, but long live Milan.

Bayman
30-01-2005, 11:47
Problem is we have no other really creative player apart from Kaka and he suffers under the burden to do it all alone.

These are the luineup's of former/current great teams:

Massaro
Donadoni Boban Savicevic

Morientes
Raul Zodane Figo

Drogba
Robben Lampard Duff

Eto'o
Ronaldinho Deco Giuly

Apart from Kaka we don't have anything that can match these teams creative zone (marked)...absolutely nothing. And to add to that, our defensive midfield is inferior (at least not beter) to these teams.

MIRZA
30-01-2005, 11:53
What can I say????
If we continue to play like today our chances to win Squdeto will be very small.
But you guys are very nervous, I know that we played very bad, but all great teams have their bad period. We can't win always.
I'm also very disappointed, but that is football, you must sometimes lose...
It will be better soon....

Was it the valiant effort against Milan?
Was it the valiant effort against INter in which they got away scott free on a Adriano take down?
Was it the Bologna Match when Pagliuca was ready to hit the ref for that terrible call?
Please before posting know what you are talking about...
