Auguri to all of you Milan fans!!! :delol: :whie:
www.tgcom.it says that the Lazio penalty was a clear one. I know that Stam brought down Rocchi but could you tell me who whose fault it was for that situation to occur?
I know it doesn't matter now but anyway ...
Thanks a bunch.

For those who are asking, Stam clearly fouled Rocchi in the area. It was a Lazio counterattack. Stam tackled Rocchi (not the ball) from behind in the area and planted his studs in Rocchi's side. It's about as clear a penalty as you can get. Then he got a yellow card for mouthing off, I think. He didn't seem to be protesting. I hope he was swearing at himself, because he had a rotten game.

as for the penalty, this is just my opinion: liverani launched the long ball and broke the defense immediately, stam was chasing, rocchi had better position, but it seemed that he was not going to get it either, or at least he won't get it comfortably. stam reached out his foot for the ball, and rocchi reached out his chest for stam's foot. and the call, or even the yellow card has no problem, i just can't believe an experienced defender as stam could be outsmarted in such an embarrassing way. :w262:

hats off to ancelotti  when substituting cafu, keeping stam on pitch. that could be a disastrous blow for stam. liverani must feel a little pissed off after he was called upon cesar's injury, after he built up their goal, had to leave the pitch because of the coach. :broken:

and hats off to me   suggesting to ancelotti using cafu-serginho-sheva. he must have checked MM before he makes all the moves.

i suggest cafu, serginho and sheva to form a tri-angle attacking forces. i want to see some serious ass-kicking. :hammer: and i don't care who is off, so long as dida stays. :haha:

anyway, we won, and this victory is more than 3 points.

one last note, i feel for tomasson. he looked very frustrated and helpless when he was substituted. i know that was almost the only right thing to do under that certain circumstance. and i certainly don't blame ancelotti for it, at least not this time. i just hope that the great happiness of winning this game will be more than enough to beat the disappointment for this loyal fighter of ours. :proud:

thank you sheva once again...you helped us come on top :proud:

kaka' had some very nice assists and worked very well with shevchenko. i felt that the rest of the team was rather off today. couldn't really help eachother...they were misinturpreting passes-just didn't seem organized. but thankfully sheva stepped in and gave that amazing goal.

I wanted to add that Milan's first half was shameful. I know nine-man defenses are hard to break down, but the only ones who seemed to realize there was a scudetto on the line were Ancelotti and Nesta. "Lethargic" best describes the team, at least until Shevchenko came on.

Shevchenko or Nesta as the next captain of Milan! And those of you who still think Nesta is a laziale at heart didn't see him working his butt off intercepting balls, trying to kickstart a lackadaisical attack and yelling at nonchalant teammates. :fero:

This wasn't a case of Milan not being able to finish in spite of playing well. In the first half of this game, Milan had plenty of possession but never bothered to get out of low gear -- not a pretty sight.

Milan are lucky to have Shevchenko. Serginho and Cafu were great subs, although Kaladze didn't play badly. Stam sucked, as I said. Gattuso, Seedorf and Kaka' kept giving the ball away. Nobody could cross.

Well, given that Lazio's new coach, Papadopulu or whatever his name was, coached a team of the rank of Siena before coming to Rome could easily explain why a team, once considered one of the big teams in Serie A, came to SS only to defend. My point is that the team's play is a mirror image of their coach's mentality and provincial understanding of the game. Lazio may not have the outstanding squad from 3-4 years ago but they do have the players to perform at a much better level than they do now. The provincial mentality of a coach like Papadopulu, however, will force them to fight for avoiding relegation, in the end.

It is a great win indeed for us! The perfect getting out of jail act. Our performance was far from perfect especially in the first half. But Lazio for the second time this season paid a price for scoring first against Milan. :proud:

IMO, Ancelotti did the absolute correct thing in starting Cafu and Sheva from the bench:

1) Cafu is an extremely important player for us. One of the main offensive sparks in our team and he has been playing a hell of a lot of games at his age. With the Utd. game coming up he needed some rest and seeing this as a Milan HOME GAME against a weakened Lazio it was the perfect opportunity to rest him.

2) Sheva was returning from an ankle injury so you cannot start him from scratch. Sheva looked fit but you just cannot risk re-injuring the world's best striker when a much more important game is coming up in a fortnight.

A) The other players should've raised their game in the absence of our two stars. They were lazy, spraying wrong passes and not urgent enough especially in the first half.

B) It was correct to start Stam and play him at right back so that he plays together with Maldini and Nesta and co-ordinates more with them. The co-ordination is still lacking and Stam's drop-kick was blatant.

C) It was noticeble that Crespo and Tomasson didn't move their lazy butts at all when Milan had the possession and were attacking. They just made the run towards the box and stand there next to the Lazio defence. That is criminal. There were quite a few instances when Kaka + Stam could've well done with a forward running towards them and supporting them to make a TRIANGLE but no. Crespo and Tomasson didn't move. Off the ball running was terrible on their part. They pressed and made the effort in the box but when we were attacking both of them were predictable just making plain runs in the box but not helping out on the flanks. One of them had to provide support in a tight situation. They didn't. That needs to be worked on.

D) Passing was not good. Lots of inaccurate passes and loss of possession. It comes down to concentration. It wasn't ambitious passing ... just plain bad misdirect passing. Credit to Lazio for being well-organized as well.

Sheva's strike was stupendously unbelievable and delightfully classic! Cometh the hour, cometh the Bomber! :star:

I liked our fluidity after Carlo shifted to the 3-4-1-2. We were all over Lazio and countered their 5 midfielders astutely! Kaka finally got some room to nail the shot and did so only for the post to deny him. Crespo got his studs to it and scored. Inches from a double miss but not to be! Crespo gets credit as he scored the most important winning goal for us this season in the Serie A at the time of this writing! :star: Give him credit. Bad goal, good goal, iffy goal or whatever! It is the most important winner for us this season in the Serie A.

I am happy with the result. It is tough to score freely after scoring 4 in the previous game. We got out of jail but fortune favours the brave. We were brave, gritty and showed mental fortitude to savour the day!

 Forza Milan

a report:

Milan 2 - 1 Lazio
Oddo pen 56 (L), Shevchenko 72 (M), Crespo 94 (M)
San Siro

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan left it very late indeed as Hernan Crespo scored against his former teammates to cut the gap to two points.

The Rossoneri would bring themselves within two points of leaders Juventus with a victory here and were boosted by their midweek 4-1 mauling of Messina. Jaap Stam, Alessandro Nesta and Hernan Crespo took on their former club, while Andriy Shevchenko was not risked from the start. The Ukrainian was originally ruled out for a fortnight with an ankle injury, but instead returned to the bench within seven days.

Lazio left Paolo Di Canio on the bench and surprisingly opted to place Giuliano Giannichedda at the centre of a three-man defence. They made it clear from the start that they were going to stay solid and pour forward on the counter-attack with Tommaso Rocchi and Goran Pandev.

Inter-owned Pandev took advantage of a defensive error and drilled wide from the edge of the box, then at the other end a Milan corner kick was cleared with some difficulty.

The first real chance came after 26 minutes as the Rossoneri passed the ball around and eventually cut back for a fierce Clarence Seedorf strike from the edge of the box that Angelo Peruzzi got his fists behind.

There was bad news for the Biancocelesti when Cesar limped off with a suspected thigh strain after just half an hour and made way for Fabio Liverani.

Lazio had another dangerous counter-attack when Antonio Filippini got to the byline and his low cross cut all the way across the face of goal without anyone able to get the final touch.

Jaap Stam nearly netted against his old club when he rose to make contact with Andrea Pirlo's corner kick, but it was deflected off target.

Lazio were causing real problems down the right flank and another dangerous cross, this time from Massimo Oddo, whistled just past Rocchi in the centre.

A desperate Giannichedda challenge prevented Crespo from tapping in Kakha Kaladze's pass from eight yards as the pressure increased. The former Chelsea star then failed to make the most of Pirlo's searching pass as his first touch let him down.

On the stroke of half-time, an acrobatic Jon Dahl Tomasson attempt on Crespo's headed assist was closed down by the ever-attentive Giannichedda.

Kaka scared the Lazio defence with a burst of pace and Tomasson was unable to make the most of it, while Antonio Filippini disposessed Pirlo and Fabio Liverani's shot was too central to really trouble Dida.

The breakthrough came when Rocchi sprinted into the box on Liverani's pass and Stam mistimed his challenge to bring down the striker. The referee pointed to the spot and Massimo Oddo fired in the penalty despite Dida getting a hand to it.

Carlo Ancelotti threw on Andriy Shevchenko, Serginho and Cafu in a desperate bid to get back on track with a three-man defence, while Antony Seric also came on for Liverani, as the substitute was suffering from a muscular problem.

Within a minute of coming on the Ukrainian had fired a long-range effort just wide of the target. Then his header was wayward from a Serginho cross as Lazio were pegged back into their own half.

The visitors were even more determined to play on the counter now and Nesta's crucial intervention stopped Pandev completing his move with Rocchi.

Crespo got on the end of Cafu's cross and Angelo Peruzzi was ready to smother it at the near post.

Moments later Gennaro Gattuso passed out to Shevchenko and his wayward half-volley saw Crespo come sliding in and miss the tap-in by inches.

Shevchenko certainly made his comeback with a bang, as he curled a simply stunning free kick into the top corner from 25 metres to give Milan a deserved equaliser.

Lazio needed a strong character and it came in the form of Paolo Di Canio, here facing his former club.

Shevchenko then turned provider for Cafu and his shot blazed just over the bar, while Crespo again just failed to get on the end of a Cafu headed assist.

Fernando Couto dived in to intercept Serginho's cutback for Pirlo inside the penalty area as it turned into a siege, then Stam blazed over the bar from distance.

Deep into stoppages the game was eventually turned in Milan's favour in chaotic fashion. Kaka's piledriver thumped the woodwork and came back out to an unmarked Hernan Crespo to tap into an empty net against his former club.

That was an awesome game. Milan played **** in the first half but Shevchenko seemed to energize everyone when he came on. Ancelotti made some nice desicions today proving he is a worthy coach. I like the way the 3-5-2 formation worked out. I don't think we should have defensive worries with three defenders if they are Stam, Nesta and Maldini.

Thank you milan!!

it reallly feels much better than orgasm, seeing Crespo tapping in the winning goal to erase all his frustration in front of goal..i feel so happy for him!! :proud:

However, i agree with Haroon that our strikers didnt connect with the midfield to bring on the attack but just blatantly running into the penalty box hoping for a cross to drop in. That shouldnt be the case. Look when Shev came on, he did a completely different tactic from Crespo n Tommasson; he connects with Kaka n the midfielders to bring the ball to the 18 yard box and hangs around the fringe of the box to wait for a chance to launch the ball into the net. He is the kind of player we need when the opposition is packing their own half effectively. Shooting from outside provides not only the possiblitiy of the ball going into the net but also a possible parry which any player could just tap it in. Improve on this point and Milan's attack will be very fluent and even with 10 men int the box, they will be UNSTOPPABLE!

Stam played pretty bad as right-back on that day and the fact that his offensive run down the flank was never a threat to the Lazio defence smells a change to be on the cards. Surprisingly, Ancelotti left Stam on but still brings on Cafu. With Stam concentrating on his defensive duties and Cafu starting his usual effective offensive runs proves Ancelotti's changes were nothing short of magical :star: . Milan drastically came alife and pound on the Lazio defence until it finally gave way to a Kaka's hard work and Crespo's perseverence.

This is the Milan we have always been wanting to see. MAGICO!!!
A win is a win and the Zebras are warned!

FORZA SHEVA!!!

We were absolutely awful today.. we played bad, we had possession but we lacked creativity as usual... only until Sheva came on we played very well.. Serginho ran alot on the wing and so did Cafu.. they were extremely useful for us.. When crespo scored i shouted so loud that all my neighbours on my floor went out of their rooms worried :P

i was so happy.. it was an amazing feeling, but still we cannot risk this.. it was an absolutely terrible performance if not for the substitutes..

during the game, the player that really pissed off the most was Gattuso.. he gave away the ball FARRRRR TOOO MUCH, i mean ffs, I am a better passer than he is! I know how to hold the ball better than he does! I mean ffs, he is terrible.. i agree he's an important player cuz he wins so many balls, but his shots on goal just disgust me, and his passes, they're absolutely terrible.. i really think Dhorasoo should get into starting 11 in Gattuso's place.. he's a good ballwinner and a great playmaker with excellent vision..

stam was awful.. i hope he finds his form before the man united game!! its in less than 3 weeks!!.. i also can't stop myself saying that Kaka didnt play well this game, only his shot the hit the post at end was one of his typical shots of last year's Kaka :).. it gave me a smile on my face when i saw his shot heading to the bottom left corner, it was almost like the equaliser in the derby last season!

this game in my opinion will be the one we look back upon at the end of the season and say " this was where we won the title "

we grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat...we never gave up and always pressed for the winning goal.......which eventually came.....

this reminds me of the '99 season when we won the serie a and ganz scored in the third minute of injury time to give us a 3-2 win over sampdoria .......

We needed 3 pts. and 3 pts. we got!!! In 1 month time or so, few except us will remember it had been obtained in the 94th minute. The real problem is the way we play!!! I mean, I 'd rather not see another first half like the one last night... I can accept that Shevchenco was not fit for a full game, but what was the use of experimenting with Stam on the right of the defense?!? I wish I were in Ancelotti's head to understand this move!! Any of my two cats (one of whom-a Siamese) would have played better than Stam (and comes Manchester!?!!...).

Sheva's goal-tremendous! That's the difference between great players and very good ones: the great enters and converts a free kick from the moon, when the adverse team leads 1-0 and u have a quarter of an hour to go.

Crespo: thanks a lot for bringing us two additional points! You thus saved your mediocre performance.

Dear juve, I know it hurts to see other teams winning now and then the way you have been doing throughout your history. Be thankful, however, for your narrow escape in the direct match in Turin. It won't happen again at San Siro!!!

Thank god!!!

If it had ended up 1-1 yesterday that would have been so disappointed because we were all over tham from start to finish. Apart from the penalty they had like one chance on goal which wasn't even that clear cut. We dominated and that bit of luck at the end was 100% deserving. I thought Kaka had scored and then I saw it come off the post and put my head in my hands, then I lifted my head a saw Crespo celebrating!!! lol.

One thing I must say again. Stam is taking the piss with his performances at present. And hopefully Ancelotti has now realised that he cannot play as RB for Milan. We should have bought someone as back-up tp Cafu. And thats final!

It is completely unbelievable the way we overturned things and snatched the late winner . The way were playing especially in the first half didn't signal at all that we could win . I believe we paid for Ancelotti's mistakes in the line-up from the start by dropping Cafu and opting to start with Stam at right-back and not risking Sheva from the start even though I couldn't blame him much for that because Sheva wasn't fully fit . We lost a very effective attacking weapon with Cafu's absence because even at his old age his forward runs and wing-plays and crosses remain among the best in the world if not the best . I know that Carlo had in mind that Lazio has a very strong left side containing Cesar and that is why he started with the solid defensively Stam to close our right flank defensively but I don't see that a good reason . Cafu supported by Gattusso defensively are always capable of doing the job and that has been the case for the last two years . The other major factor that contributed to our poor performance for most of the time before Carlo made interventions from outside was the terrible form of both Seedorf and Pirlo . Seedorf played one of his worst matches lacking concentration and losing the ball too much and niether supporting the attack nor the defence on the left . Pirlo was also in his worst shape misspassing a lot and not not distributing the ball while attacking as he always does . It looked like our forwards Thomasson and Crespo were isolated with no support coming niether from the flanks nor from the midfield . Things were complicated further at the start of the second half when we went down thanks to a stupid defensive mistake from Stam who caught the body of Lazio forward inside our box instead of the ball resulting in a penalty conceded and scored . From that point onwards we got back into the match with Carlo pulling our Seedorf , Kaladze and Thomasson and pushing in Cafu , Serginho and the king Sheva and it was a brilliant move . Clearly our flanks were almost dead so the introduction of Cafu on the right and Serginho on the left provided the necessary width to our attacks and both did a good job with continous forward runs and crosses . Most importantly the introduction of Sheva meant that we can score anytime from anywhere . I think it is not a good thing that we are badly affected with his absence this way . Clearly he is our only consistent and reliable goalscorer in all matches and he is currently the best striker in the world . It was a moment of brilliance from him when he converted a long range free kick into the top right corner bringing us back on level terms in the most magnificent of fashions . The ball was from a long distance and still he could find the target with that accuracy . With ourr pressure intensifying and still we couldn't score and Crespo wasting a sitter things looked destined for the dissapointing draw till the last few seconds of stoppage time when Kaka finally left his mark on the match picking up a lose ball and firing an on-ground shot that bounced off the bottom inside of the right post to find Crespo on the follow up rolling the ball towards the left post and off to the empty net . The way we won reminded me with a goal we scored in the same time against Lazio few years ago from Leonardo in similar circumstances . Anyway we are currently very close to Juve and hopefully we will soon be on top . We must not blow our chances this time and we couldn't afford to lose two times in a row if we are serious about retaining our Scudetto . Forza Milan .

Today I still feel like flying, was too good to be true, at the 49th minute UNBELIEVABLE.

I really sweard a lot especially between Oddo's goal and Sheva's goal. Words such as 'haq ..... or f'o.....' where coming out of my mouth without control. Before Sheva's free kick one at Milan club said, 'to score from there you must be a God'...... AND SHEV DID IT ONCE MORE :proud: :proud: I laid down on the floor like this :faint: just could'nt believe what just saw.

Then I gave up and tried to see the good things of the draw, ALL OF A SUDDEN AT THE DYING SECONDS SOMETHING HAPPENNED (like the ajax match), there where an orgy of people jumping and screaming I cannot remember the faces around me, the feeling is undescribable. I also knocked my knee somwhere on some one

Despite all this just have to say that Cafu and Shev are a bit indespensable. At the first half our players where not trying to dribble the oppenentions we where static, BUT WE HAVE :v408: SHEVA, WITH HIM IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

sheva scored a wonderful free kick.kaka' hit the bar and crespo scored.we played so well in the second half.but first half none give the ball to kaka'.after sheva came in kaka' was very good.sheva and kaka' parntership is the best in the world.kaka' needs some time.
stam was very bad.he is not a right back.he has no offensive skills.defensive part he is so slow.
nesta and maldini were ok.kaladze was ok.
dida was ok.
pirlo was bad.gattuso was bad.he always lost the ball.seedorf was good but not enough.my kaka' was bad too.tomasson is not milan class.he couldnt play as a top class team.but he plays for the best team.ı dont understand that situation.next year gilardino will come.he scored half overhead kick yesterday vs inter.he is better than tomasson and crespo.
sheva was the best on the pitch.why sheva is better than anyone in the world?answer was yesterday he came in and scored from the free kick.he was wonderful.
reggina will be harder.ı fear reggina most.ı hope juve will lose2points vs our jankulovskis team.
jankulovski must play his best football to stop juve.
we are the best.stam and tomasson doesnt deserve playing in milan

Good ones, mate :sun:

Btw imagine what the pressure could be in the Curva cauldron..people swearing for 90 minutes, me the first (never sweared like that in my life) and when all his lost , you score the late win, just while people is leaving the tiers..

It was an hell, people rolling on the floor, swearing in that Rosetti bustard face..it was indeed an orgasm, i'm not afraid to say it and can write it everywhere

The first though was for the Rosetti ***, he always piss me off like noone in the universe..

On a funny note, i was shoot in a mobile private video screaming like a mad cow POOOOOOOOOOOORCOOOO DIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (no translations this time :sun: ) :delol:

Wonderful story
While you were having the time of you life, I was watching Barbados beat the USA in Polo live, having too much wine. Nice, but hardly orgasmic :dconf:

Crespo has shown us two things this past week:
1) he can be relied upon to bring it when the going gets tough. We needed a win against Messina and he and JDT brought it. We needed a win agaisnt Lazio and he brought us one. Thank you Hernan.
2) He is a rossoneri through and through. That celebration was freom deep within and he really wanted to show us that he is now a red n' black :) Chelsea- keep your paws off our boy!

I wonder if Ancelotti wanted to rest Cafu this weekend. As Brazilian captain, Cafu has been released for the midweek Brazil friendly against Hong Kong, even though Milan weren't required to do so. Cafu seems indestructible, but he is 34, after all. I'm wondering if he'll be able to play next weekend, because I really, really don't want to see Stam as fullback again in the near future.

This is why I think :v408: Sheva is the best player in the world.

He comes on, back from injury, with his team trailing, and scores a crucial goal...this while Ronaldhino was missing a penalty kick that would have brought his team back into their game vs Athletico Madrid, and to top it off, Barca went on to lose that game 0-2, their first home loss of the season...bringing a resurgent Real Madrid back into the La Liga title chase.

Milan from all accounts, had a poor game, with Gattuso and Stam seemingly the worst performers. Yet we toughed it out, and clawed and scratched for a victory.

Questions have been asked as to why not play Dhorasso in Gattuso´s stead, and I myself have raised this issue. It seems that as poor an offensive player as Rino is, he is the team´s defensive engine, all over midfield at once, and mayhap his effort in training ensures that his name is on the list of the starting 11.

I for one completely feel that Dhorasso can effectively replace Gattuso, but when last I checked, my name was not Carlo Ancelotti, and despite dreams to the contrary, I do not coach AC Milan. :sigh:

We did well to win this game, and my only regret is not being able to see Paolo DiCanio´s face when Crespo scored the winner. :delol:

Despite my well documented worries to the contrary, the title race is back on, and though it is unlikely that Juve will slip up in their next match, undoubtedly they will slip again, and when they do, we must be ready to pounce on the tripped up Zebra, and devour it whole.

Juve might slip to Udinese. I don't see it as something impossible with Ibra being a fitness doubt. Juve are not invincible. Milan need to beat Reggina next week and hope Juve trip to Udinese.

I wish i saw di canio's face too. I remember his days in Milan fondly :dconf:

Just seven days ago there was so much gloom and doom, that you'd have thought that we were seven points back with two to play. The point is, you can never count Milan out. And in the end, nobody cares or remembers how a goal was scored ("aw it was just lucky") they just remember who won in the end. Which is how it should be.

AMAZING RESULT!!!!! the "orgasmic" comments are quite funny, but the feeling of the second goal was as good, but different ;)

Sheva was really a key man in this match. He came on and really tranformed the side.

Ancelotti had the gameplan quite well set out tbh. He clearly instructed the side to use wide areas from the get go as Kaladze and even Stam pushed forward. I don't argue with his initial lineup as I believe I would have done something similar, to gain an idea of how Stam does as right back. Unfortunately, this proved a little unsuccessful.

However, in saying this, this first half wasn't a good performance. The reason I believe is that Lazio came to play like a small side, meaning defending deep and in heavy numbers and trying to hurt us on counters. Our gameplan was to attack through wide areas, as the Lazio fullbacks push forward leaving holes behind. However, the central play was lacking a lot, as it lacked movement and the interplay between the midfield and attack was missing.

I pointed this out a number of times during the match itself.

More movement was also needed to stretch the Lazio defence and although we tried to use the wide areas, we often wasted good opportunities with the final ball.

The introduction of Sheva, Cafu and Serginho helped us utilise the wide areas better and Sheva really influenced the play between the midfield and attack, often causing problems and his movement made life VERY difficult for Lazio.

As for the players....

Dida was fair, not much to do and unfortunate not to save the penalty.
Maldini was good, solid and reliable, also started a number of attacks when the pressure was on
Nesta, good game beside the moment he and Dida had a loss of communication
Kaladze played a solid match, but often ineffective final balls
Stam was disappointing. Attacking wise he tried to support, but was lacking the quality and defensively he was making mistakes, especially for the penalty. I think we might have to use him as a squad player, as he is weakening our defence and when he plays in the centre, Maldini is pushed out, where he clearly struggles to organise the defence
Pirlo wasn't at his best losing the ball more often than usual, I've noticed he struggles when those around him are struggling
Gattuso was fighting hard, but he tries too much on the ball. I think he needs to try to simplify his game a little
Seedorf was trying, but seemed slow and ineffective tbh
Kaka had a fairly uneventful game, but he had special moments, which is something only seen in great players.
JDT was generally poor. Movement and general build up support was terrible and was rightly subbed
Crespo was quite poor despite the goal, however, that made him a hero ;)

Sheva was MOM, simple as that. OUTSTANDING GOAL!
Serginho and Cafu worked hard out wide and provided quality balls too.

Our mentality was the key and the momentum clearly seems to be building now.

FORZA CRESPO!
FORZA SHEVA!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ps - to Bayman, I disagree with your comments about the midfield. Our three most attacking players were disappointing most in the first half and the effect was clearly shown when Sheva came on.

"when Sheva came on." cafu n serginho came on with him n u rnt givin them much credit considerin their creativity got the wholse team to play better. honsetly dome days it seems that playin a middlefield like this is best: gattuso----dhorasoo---serginho

Gattuso lost the ball far too much, I mean I could pass and hold on the ball better than him! he pissed me off loads during that game! His shots on goal just make me sick, its like a 15 yr old shooting! Dhorasoo is much more useful that Gattuso IMO..

We are certainly having problems in our creativity as you all could see before the substitutions were made..I think its just that Tomasson and Crespo shouldn't be played together, i think Sheva always has to be on and they have to take turns to partner him..I can't wait to see a Pippo-Sheva partnership again! :) and also I would love to see a Rui-Kaka partnership against Man United, as it is our away game, let's try not to lose that game, and have Sheva up front, and then if we need to score more goals at the end of the game, we can put on another striker for Rui..I really hope we thrash Man Unitd..

i agree with u about Gattsuo sometimes he cant even pass stright but thats normal coz he has been that way for while, i really feel Ambro and Dhorsoo should have more chance on the RM and they could do pretty well like ambro attacks well and covers cool too and Dhorosso does pretty well and rearly makes any mistakes

we should have them play more often

Awful words from Lazio coach:

"The Biancocelesti coach is still fuming after Stam was not sent off last Sunday during Milan-Lazio which the capital city side lost 2-1.
Papadopulo was in fact very harsh towards referee Rosetti who, in his view, should have sent off Stam as the match might have not ended in a defeat.

“It’s normal to concede a goal or lose the match in the last second, just like it happened at Reggio Calabria. Maybe the referee thought we were happy with the penalty. If he had applied the rules for us as well, Stam would have been sent off and we would have played the last half hour in numerical advantage.

“I don’t know how it would have ended, maybe we would have still lost, however I would have preferred to have this opportunity.”

because ambro almost always get a red card or at least a yellow whenever he play. he always make reckless tackles and asking him to replace gatusso is a bad choice. Dhorsoo is a pretty good player but he is more of an offensive player. i think you guys should know that gatusso is the only midfielder who do most of the defensive jobs.
