Capello's Say On Del Piero, Totti, And Milan...
2/14/2005 1:06:00 PM
Fabio Capello spoke about a variety of issues in an interview with an Italian radio program ‘Radio Anch’ Io Sport’, held on Monday morning.
Initially the Juventus boss reflected on the close title race the Bianconeri are involved in with Serie A champs AC Milan.

”Of late Milan have been winning games shooting on goal only once throughout the ninety minutes. They are a team full of qualities, that will contend the title with us until the end. However I am convinced we will stay ahead of the pack until the end of the tournament,” he said, before returning on the theme of this season, his relationship with Juventus skipper Alessandro Del Piero.

“Each one has to understand his role. I am the coach, he is a player. My decisions are taken purely for the good of the team. However even in the difficult moments, Del Piero never had anything bad to say to the press. Things were different in Rome where immediately after training, the radio stations knew everything we spoke about,” he added.

Capello’s reference to Rome brought the conversation to Roma’s two stars, Totti and Cassano.

“Totti is a great player, and a generous and good kid. His problem is that sometimes he talks too much. Cassano is a true talent, Italy’s best prospect. He can certainly do well in the future both with Roma and La Nazionale,” he said.

Juventus lead the Serie A table with a two point edge over AC Milan

Look at this article from Goal.com if u guys notice anything fishy about it, plz tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok let me start look where he talks about AC Milan and mentions that Milan has been shooting on GOAL ONLY ONCE in 90 min. What on earth is Cappello saying, is he watching Atlanta or what he must be talking about Juve I mean if u see Milan they have a very high rate of shooting on goal, man he tries to say we are pretty lucky winning just a shot on goal & we win it " for real I wish it was that easy or else we would have scored 10 goals :respect: a game now Cappello wake up and listen if u have nothing to say about Milan keep it shut coz u making no sense out of all this.

Only thing u can do is piss Milan off, don’t u guys notice lately how Juve officials have been attacking Milan of late Moggi is talking about refs helping us out, Stam should be given the red card , Cappello saying stuff about Milan lol if he knew the most attacking team in the Italy is Milan he must be pretty high or else he would have understood.
Lol
Its pity I had a lot of respect for him and I don’t mind him talking about Milan but at least say something that is true if he was mentioning about the game with Reggine everyone knew Milan was crap that Yesterday but all through the season give me a break Milan has been good not as great as last season but look we only 2 pts behind juve so it aint bad.

Forza Milan

Shoot once on goal??? Did Milan only shoot once on goal when they ran Juve up and down the field in the first game this year...A lot of talk from a coach who is running a struggling team who just barely beat a Udinese team who is struggling....shut your mouth Capello and be ready to take 0 points out of your clash with our Rossoneri next time around

Forza ITALIA!!

This really isn't a topic that we should waste our time discussing, as noone in here is likely to disagree with opinion that Capello's statement was both unfounded and stupid.

I simply believe Juve have started panicking and are stuck making "controversial" comments about us to try and put us off our game.

Its not really worth paying any attention to, we just have to play our game and let Juve panic ;)

Football coachs always do this and capello is no different. When your team starts to falter and its not going your way, deflect the situation onto something else and bring up stuff like this. Gets people to look away from your situation.

i used to like him, a lot. but this changed when he beat all the expectation to join juve, the team that he swore he would never join.

i wouldn't be mad at him even if he joined inter or barca or arsenal, so long as he kept his words as a man.

he is a shame. even totti is better than him. at least he is still around...

pitty right now he is mostly worried about Real then Milan he knows if he messes up bye bye CL and Juve should sit and wait again till next year.

The last three games Milan have won 4-1, 2-1 and 1-0. If we only had one shot on goal, then how did we manage to score 2 and even 4 goals in a match???

Juve won 2-1, but then lost 1-0 in two matches before that. So they have scored 2 goals in 3 games and we've scored 9 in 3 games. Capello is talking rubbish and only one team will win the Scudetto, and they won't be wearing black and white!

The Juventus coach, ahead of the Champions League encounter between his side and the Spanish giants, believes that luck has been on Real’s side in recent matches.
With a week to go before the return of the Champions League, Fabio Capello has started the psychological war against his former side by dubbing the Merengues “lucky”.

“I saw on television Real’s match at Pamplona. They were quite lucky, even though they did play well. The sum of these things has made them psychologically stronger lately.”

The first leg between Real and Juventus is scheduled for the 22nd of February at the Bernabeu stadium of Real.

now its real madrid. capello is a worried man. :1avs:

i sure hope you are wrong because only good things can come out of juve beating real madrid and advancing - it keeps juve in the run meaning they have more than just the scudetto chase to worry about.

as for capello's comments, he is just trying to play mind games with milan but milan are surely wise to capello's methods - after all, they had/have a politician in charge of them who has mastered the art of mind games :P
