how was the goal? AT WHAT MINUTE?? IM SHOUTING SO LOUD BUT WHY ISNT IT NOT AT LIVESCORE YET
Can someone actually report what Cafu has done, because according to eurosport:
"Cagliari say Cafu committed a foul during the build-up, but their protests fell on deaf ears."
What's up?
just when i was so pissed off: inter leading, us goalless. :(
:D
what the heck was going on??? please, somebody enlighten me!!! :D
Once we play with real creativity (no long balls) and only 1 striker we are fuc*ing more dangerous.
4-2-3-1 is god. And that with 10 men.
Forza Serginho!
Forza Rui Costa!
Forza Kaka!

Anyone notice Conti PUNCH Crespo as he whizzed by him just seconds before the final whistle. What a classless move....that was a red card.
We pushed to the VERY end and deserved that goal..Cagliari simply stood back and hoped for the best. The final 10 minutes were total domination and the goal..nothing controversial. Pisanu threw himself on the ball but kept it inside and even handled it .. Cafu picked it up AND Cagliari kept playing..only after two rebounds do they cry foul.
GIVE ME A BREAK!

cafu have a push on one of the defenders but the ref didn't call for it and the ball was crossed in by cafu and shot in by serginho.

www.livescore.com was so slow, i was checking GAzzetta. although they gave the wrong scorer in the first place, (seedorf. :D) but who cares?

Roma 35
Cagliari 33
Bologna 32
Lecce 32

Chievo 28
Lazio 27
Fiorentina 26
Brescia 23
Parma 23
Siena 22
Atalanta 14
I like it :D
and now we catched Juve!!!
We are ahead on Goal difference :) ..not that it matters in Series A but still it would put us on top of the table atleast. :)

like i said, playing with both crespo and tomasson is useless in this game caused the opposition just love to crowd their box with players. once we get more players involved in the build up, we did better.
That is the "primera Division" way of playing football. Taking the game into their half. Lots of real creativity and 2 DM's are enough (Seedorf+Pirlo against these teams; Seedorf+gattuso against big teams). And only ONE striker, unless Sheva is there then a 2 striker solution is something to think about.
10men Milan was way better than 11men mess before.
Cafu had a blocked cross, a defender knocked the ball back to him, another defender reached the ball first, Cafu was after him, he tripped, Cafu took the ball and crossed for Serginho. It was no fault.

as long as the ref didn't call for it, i don't give a f*ck. we should have a penalty as well.

What's up?
Basically ... Cafu was chasing the ball at the end of the line. The Cagliari defender PISANU was struggling to keep it IN so as not to have a corner called. He stumbled (Pisanu) but managed to keep it IN play...however, while stumbling he fell on the ball so as not to let Cafu pick it up..anyhow...the ball slipped from his body (at this point Pisanu was on top of the ball) Cafu picked it up...and crossed it..one rebound and Seedorf one timed it in.
The controversy is EITHER (its not clear WHAT Cagliari protested):
the ball was out of play...IT WAS NOT...the replay clearly shows that Pisanu kept it in play so as not to give up a corner.
Cafu committed a foul..he didn't...in fact, Pisanu threw himself on the ball and his hand even touched it.
OR they claimed it should have been a whistle and stop of play for the handling..but in that case the ref could well have called ADVANTAGE (play on).
Their cries fall on deaf ears because they clearly kept playing AFTER that shuffle
A straight race for the title now ..... 13 games to go and our next match is the derby while Juve play Siena at home.
Back to this game ... what can anyone say except WOW .... what a range of emotions, everyone must have been cursing as we looked like losing ground with Juventus again ... then a rocket into the net and now everyone is on cloud nine. I think this will be a huge boost in confidence for us for Wednesdays game ... i hope it will be anyway, a win in the last minute like that is almost like winning 5-0, the players will forget most of what's gone before and just feel elation.
Lets hope Shevchenko's injury is nothing more than a bruise.
and ancelotti should have heard my comment to take off the useless pancaro. can we throw him back to lazio? he is crap this season.

hope Sheva plays as a lone-striker vs Man Utd with Rui-Kaka-Pirlo-Seedorf-Serginho midfield line.. and maldini and cafu on the back pushing up! i just hope that Cafu isnt tired for the Man Utd game, because apparently he did alot of running today because of Pancaro's sending off.. Ijust hope he's fine... I WANT TO KILL MAN UTD, the last 3 games, we got 9 points, we were EXTREMELY boring in all the games, and extremely lucky..this is what makes us a championship team, we dont play well, and we win.. but i really hate it to see milan play disgusting like that.. i just hope we play attractive football against man united
steady on hwmook, we'll have to hold on to him until the summer, but then maybe replace him with Jankulovski :D
Btw it was Serginho who scored, and not Seedorf. Guys i have to say that without Sheva we look prety badly, what abou his injury? Will he be available to the Old-Traford clash???
sorry hitman, that midfield is too lightweight ..... we need Gattuso in there for sure.
yea, Sheva was taken to the hospital and seems to have some problems.....I dont know how long the recovery will take
FORZA LO TZAR!!
Oh I forgot to mention the most important thing.... WE ARE AT THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!

yeah that midfield lineup i know is too light, but we're playing away.. i mean, we need the away goals.. ofcourse gattuso has to play, but i just hope he doesnt do those SICK TERRIBLE shots of his..
steady on hwmook, we'll have to hold on to him until the summer, but then maybe replace him with Jankulovski :D
i am extremely disappointed with pancaro. i was one of his biggest fans last season but he is total crap this season. he can't make a single good tackle or a good cross. i don't know how can he became so bad. i would prefer to play serginho or maldini as left back. they are amazing, especially how maldini dribble pass 2 defenders to send a perfect cross in which was wasted.
Sheva is out against ManUtd. But that doesn't matter.
But we'll still win, if carlo gets his sh*t right once and for all....
How do u know that he's out???? What's source?

if sheva doesn't play then we HAVE to use a 4-3-2-1 formation. 2 strikers is not going to work if neither come back to get the ball. i can see crespo trying to move back only during the last minutes of the game. IMO that is not good enough, but then again man u shouldn't be playing like caligari.
I'm still pretty sure that Sheva will play, we just have to wait and see...
Sheva out deosn't really matter.
We have:
Seedorf...best CM in the world
Dhorasoo...according to L'Equipe ratings best player in French league last season
Kaka...world class Brazil starter
Serginho...imho still our most naturally gifted play in the team. Classy winger.
Rui Costa...whowas once Serie A's best midfielder and is still good if given confidence and some backing by the coach. Just look how he played for Portugal.
But then...you can have a coach, that despite having such a luxury midfield still fu*ks it all up by playing a wrong lineup. Thanks god Carlo made the right substitutions and we played like Milan in the end....despite 10 men.
So we should do against ManUtd. If we play Tomasson-Crespo, we are w/o CL football after wednesday.
Bayman real football is not like "Football Manager" on your computer, u can't say "Sheva is out but it doesn't matter", because it's very "matter". Didn't u see what happened today???? In the minute Sheva went out we like lost 70 percent of attacking force... Stop living in your theoretical world, u want to face Man Unt with players like Dhorasoo or Serginho??? They have players like Rooney, RvN, Scholes, Keane, Ronaldo, Giggs.... or maybe u forgot that??????
Unfortunately i got to see only Messina - Dopentus match:rollani:, and i have to say.....BORING! This year Juve indeed play the most boring football i have ever seen, even against Messina who are, in all honesty at times quite interesting to watch because of their `fighter character`.But, a draw is a draw....and both Inter and Juve....it couldn`t be better!!;)
However, back to the topic....I`m simply delighted, this was our chance, we used it,simple as that.I hope to see some highlights,it seems to have been a good game.
Bad news about Sheva though:(. Nonetheless, i think we still have pretty good chances to win ManU match.FORZA MILAN!

I agree we really need Shevchenko but Dhorasoo and Serginho match it with many Man U players so don't under-estimate them.
Dhorasoo deserves more of a chance !!
manUtd grabbed 41 out of 44 points w/o RVN. So what?
If we are unable to play football w/o our main striker then Carlo/Galliani is to blame for bargaining when they shouldn't or fielding a completely wrong lineup.
A team having by far the highest wage bill in Europe (165m€) I can expect fielding a very competitive lineup despite Sheva's absence.
woww, what an incredible day! who would have thought that milan and udinese both scored a last minute goal!! i hope thats a good sign! I agree we should play with 1 striker vs man utd if sheva is unavailable! milan didnt play attractive football recently and man utd just keep winning convincingly! we need 5 midfielders to neutralise good manutd midfielders. i believe we have to score at least a goal at old trafford as manutd is in top form at the moment!
forza milan!! probably this is the first time that we are on top of juve this season! great!!!

If there is one thing called "Ungraciousness", you see a classic example here.
Also, if you have heard another phrase called "Emotion speaks louder than logic", you have another classic example here.
Lastly, if you don't understand what I am saying, then go to the "Hall of Fame" and look at the number of trophies we have won under this, hmm..
"f*cking coach"...
And you still don't understand, then probably your emotion speaks so loudly that your logic has gone.
manUtd grabbed 41 out of 44 points w/o RVN. So what?
And they are still trailing Chelsea by 9 points = 3 games whereas Milan has cut down the deficit from 8 points (2.5 games) to 0 point (tie).
Now tell me, so what?

Yeah, Sheva seems to have taken a pretty violent blow to the head. The first reports are that he will miss not only Man U but the derby too. Hopefully the initial diagnosis for fractured cheek bone and orbit are wrong otherwise we will be lucky if he misses "only" the 1st ManU game and the Milan derby.
Anyway, I would also prefer a 1-forward Milan in the game at Old Trafford. I would leave Rui out, however, for we DO NEED away goals and he will only slow us down. I would rather have Dhorasoo in there and maybe Serginio in the second half. The ideal variant would be having the Concord from the start but Sergio is getting old and he can't sustain playing like that for the whole game.
I think we need to be patient in that game - close down ManU in midfield and take them at the back with swift counters using Crespo, Kaka, Dhorasoo or maybe Sergio. That's my view on a game w/o Sheva in the line-up.
I didn't say "fuc*ing" coach, as he thanks god did the right things in the end.
The 2 striker thing came from Berlusconi.
If we are unable to play football w/o our main striker then Carlo/Galliani is to blame for bargaining when they shouldn't or fielding a completely wrong lineup.
I didn't say "unable to play", i just said "playing much weaker"... Very big part of our game-play is built on Sheva, like Ronaldinho at Barca. And money isn't the most important thing, Milan can spend 50-60 millions dollars and still not to find a proper substitution for Sheva. Just like I told u it's not a "fifa2004" or "football manager" on your pc, Sheva is a big part of our team this last 6 years, and his contribution to our game is irreplaceabe.
It's not about substituting Sheva, I think in a one striker system Crespo can do a good enough job.
Chelsea have a load of duds as strikers, but classy midfielder in quantity. We have them too but barely play them.
And Barca had their best run when R10 was off form, same goas for inter w/o Adriano. No team depends on one player.
we are lucky, fvckin lucky... again a goal in last minute... it is sweet feeling but it also make some deep conciderations that we are not able to proove our superiority by scoring early goals.... maybe someday that last minute goal wont be scored and we wont win... so it is time to solve that problem, unless...
PS: eventually we are there we belong - at the top of the table :star:
!Forza Milan per sempre!
"you can have a coach, that despite having such a luxury midfield still fu*ks it all up by playing a wrong lineup. "
I'm not trying to play language here, but let the rest judge what you mean.
1 striker is good too but the question is, will Berlusconi allow that? Well u know what I mean.... bu7t yes I agree that 1 striker can be lethal.
This is a future assumption, not something present.
Ancelotti hinted at how he would set out Milan tactically for their Champions’ League showdown at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
“Manchester United are strong on the wings, so it’s important to close them down there and try to slow their tempo by keeping hold of the ball.”
Apparently he realises it too. So everything is fine as I interpret it as bolstering midfield. But plz no Ambro-Gattuso....I want the Brazilians.
I agree with Bayman that Anceloti does make mistakes...
P.S. I still think that Serginho sucks!!!

MILAN 1-0 CAGLIARI
2/19/2005 10:56:00 PM
Milan gained a dramatic late victory over Cagliari to move joint-top of the table with Juventus thanks to a stunning half-volley from Serginho.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti made a number of changes to the side, with Giuseppe Pancaro coming in at left-back while Paolo Maldini was partnered by Jaap Stam in the centre of defence. Rui Costa and Christian Brocchi were given starts in midfield and Jon Dahl Tomasson joined Andriy Shevchenko in attack.
Milan dominated from the start and Shevchenko ran on to Rui Costa’s pass only to have his shot charged down, then Clarence Seedorf fired wide from the edge of the area. The Rossoneri, however, suffered an early set-back when Shevchenko had to leave the pitch with a head injury. The Ukrainian rose to send in a powerful header from a Cufu cross which goalkeeper Gennaro Iezzo did well to save but unfortunately, the striker collided with defender Simone Loria and was replaced by Crespo. The home side kept pressing forward and Iezzo could only parry a fierce Seedorf strike and Rui Costa saw his follow-up charged down for a corner kick. Seedorf again tried his luck from distance while Cafu drove wide from a tight angle. The best chance came on 40 minutes when Pancaro swept a low ball across the face of the goal which just evaded the incoming Crespo and Tomasson.
Cagliari created an opening early in the second half when Massimo Gobbi’s low effort was deflected wide of the goal by Mauro Esposito while at the other end, Andrea Pirlo just missed the target with a curling effort. Maldini then skipped past two opponents down the left flank but when the ball came out to Rui Costa, the Portuguese star could not keep his shot down. Kaka came on for the last 20 minutes for Tomasson but Milan were soon left in ten men as Pancaro received his second yellow card for a foul on Esposito. Kaka then got a low drive away which the ’keeper saved and Rui Costa arrived at the back post only to put a downward header wide. As the game headed deep into injury time, Cafu took advantage of Francesco Pisano’s slip at the byline and floated a wonderful cross to the back post for Serginho to rasp home the winner. The Sardinian side felt that their player had been pushed and Alessandro Agostini was sent-off for protesting.

I am not sure who said it but it goes something like this:"Football's biggest problem is that those who know everything are in the stands."
People, I think only an idiot could say that Carletto does not commit any mistakes, I mean he is human after all, isn't he? However, you guys are going way too far in your criticism of our coach so please stop behaving like soccer specialist who think they know every aspect of the game just because they have seen a game or two and put a stop to your inciteful comments on Carlo's mistakes - a lot of water will go by until you are in the capacity to criticise someone like Ancelloti.
In short, shut up, stop philosophising, and pay more attention so that you learn something from those who are coming from where you are headed to.
Peace. :rr30:
[02/19] Sheva Fractures Cheekbone
Andriy Shevchenko has fractured his cheekbone and will undergo surgery on Monday, so he’ll miss the Manchester United match and probably the derby.
The European Player of the Year clashed heads with Simone Loria during the early stages of tonight’s 1-0 win over Cagliari and was taken to hospital for an x-ray that found a fracture of the cheekbone and the bone surrounding his left eye.
“It is too early to say, as we need to evaluate a few things and wait 24 to 36 hours,” explained Dr Jean Pierre Meersseman. “Generally these injuries need 15 days to recover from, and even then he would play with a protective mask, but it’s not certain whether or not he’ll miss the Milan derby.”
Nonetheless, this is a heavy blow, especially as Shevchenko already has a history of facial injuries with a split lip suffered last year.
“It’s a shame as he was hit hard and we hope to get him back as soon as possible,” noted Carlo Ancelotti. “This can be a stimulus to the other players to do even better and make up for his absence.”
The last-gasp winner caused controversy, as Cagliari believed Marcos Cafu pushed Pisano in the lead-up to Serginho’s goal.
“Cafu might have leaned on him a little, but Pisano was trying to avoid the corner kick and became unbalanced,” insisted Ancelotti.
He got some unusual support from Sardinian boss Daniele Arrigoni, who berated his players for taking their protests too far.
“I don’t think it was a foul and certainly nothing scandalous,” said Arrigoni. “Pisano tried to prevent the corner kick and didn’t see Cafu so close to him.”
Ancelotti conceded there were still problems, as Milan have won their last three games thanks to two stoppage-time strikes and an own goal.
“The team played better than against Reggina and yet ran into the same old problems, as Cagliari set up an excellent defence and were very dangerous on the counter-attack. We tried to play our style and aimed some long-range efforts at goal. We had a good dose of luck here, but also showed great character.”
“At last we are back on top of the table and that’s all that matters. We were certainly lucky over the last few games, but fortune favours the brave and we’ve certainly been that.”
Shevchenko’s injury is set to keep him out of action for at least a week, possibly more, and Pippo Inzaghi is still sidelined with a fractured bone in his hand.
“Shevchenko is very handy when you’re taking on a closed defence, but Crespo and Tomasson made a great pairing when they won 4-1 at Messina a few weeks ago, so there’s no problem of compatibility. Inzaghi is one of the best strikers in the world when it comes to being a goal poacher, so we do miss him.”
Ancelotti hinted at how he would set out Milan tactically for their Champions’ League showdown at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
“Manchester United are strong on the wings, so it’s important to close them down there and try to slow their tempo by keeping hold of the ball.”

Yes ,I am definately for the one striker role against Manure + we should play Dhorasoo; English defences don't like playing against players who can dribble well, it unnerves them.
Biggest mistake is if we play a 442 system,we can't compete with Manure with a 442 system they know how the system works through and through, they used for almost 20 years.

HOW THE HELL WOULD U CARE ABOUT INTER as much as milan game. Stop thining about inter so much.
seedorf I can understand
Inzaghi I can sort of understand
Rui Costa I can understand.
But Carlo? I just don't get the criticism of the man that's brought us glory again. a european champions league and a league title, and let's not forget how he scraped us into 4th place in his first season to qualify for the champions league after the disasterous start of that campaign before he took over. this is a man who has not failed to deliver on any occasion for us. Only mourinho has been more succesful than him over the last 2 seasons.
I said before this game, I'd take luck. Forza milan!
now let's get serious and show the world what we can do.
i cant understand how some of you think we dont really need sheva for old trafford?!?! ... if its one player we really need its sheva... i hope we play this formation

I don't know..I think Capello made mistakes...Ancelotti Mr. one CL title vs. Juve and one scudetto is just proving that he is human and trying to juggle issues like a not too healthy Pirlo...defensive issues..a Kaka in risk of not playing in the derby and then facing an injured Sheva more over trying to play some players so that they have some form when they are called up.

More over whats with this Dhorasoo cry from people? Yes he has surprised us but only because people thought he would never see the field. People have put their blood and sweat into this team and proven they are CLUTCH ... I'm not willing to give up Seedorf, Pirlo or Gattuso's starting place for Dhorasoo just yet...WTF

Cagliari is a typical italian team.
They play simple:
two tidy defensive lines with fast contropiede based on a couple of very dangerous external players,
Esposito and Laingella, plus the experience of Zola.
In other words, a difficult team to beat,
without Sheva, and with some players
not at their usual levels.
Anyway, now it is time to be eleven tough lions.
:de3: MILAN :de3:
Read what Goal.com says about 'JUventus': It's a report about Sheva missing the game against Man U but ... here go...
"...Milan ended up winning this evening’s match 1-0, and now lead the Serie A standings together with Juvenuts"
Up until today I thought Carlo was overlooking Vikash in the last few games to make sure Seedorf doesnt become unsettled before the United game and the derby. Which I agree with, after all we can depend on Seedorf in the big games especially derbys  but to put brocchi in ahead of Dharosso is a joke. Dharosoo has the same work rate, except he could have atleast got invloved in the game. I forgot Brocchi was even playing about four times during the game, and thats no exageration!

This feeling again is even better than orgasm!~ :D
sadly the orgasm is tainted by sheva's fractured face.
i hate the stupid rule where players get yellow cards for taking off their shirts. poor serginho got a card after that wonder goal :( but awesome work by serginho to score! :)

:eekani: Famous Square!!! :u56: That's my invention, mind that :rotfl:
PS: IMO Rui should play form the start instead of Dhorasoo.
Once again we have done it at the dying moments but this time our victory have sent us to the top of the standings for the first time this season . I didn't watch the match but it seems that we are struggling with form lately but still getting results which is great . What worries me the most is that we are completely reliant on king Sheva as our most consistent and reliable goalscorer and without him we suffer a lot and yesterday things got complicated when he was injured at the start . Pulling off a victory while playing with 10-men and against a defensively well-organized opponent is a sign of champions and definitely this match would be one of our most important in our bid to retain our Scudetto title . It was a magnificent all-Brazilian goal with Cafu providing the great cross and Serginho blasting the ball into the roof of the net from a very tight angle . Finally it is not completely sweet as the news came after the match that Sheva our most important player would be forced out of both of this week showdowns against Man UTD and Inter in next week derby . It is a very big blow to us .
If we only judge by old achievements then why not bring Albertini back
When a player (Dhorasoo) constantly performs better than another starting player (Pirlo) over a longer period then it is time to give him more chances to prove himself.
Otherwise the reserves will get frustrated and start putting in 50% performances, as Rui did from time to time in the past.
As far as i am concerned, we need 5 midfielders vs manutd. My choice are pirlo, gattuso, dhorasoo, seedorf, kaka and serginho comes in second half. MU are a very dangerous team and fast. I will be surprised if carlo uses 2 strikers since sheva is not present. To whoever that called serginho sucks, he/she must be having no idea about football.

We win in the last minute again. Forza Serginiho.
There may be some worrying times without Schevchenko.
Guys if we will continue like this I'll die with a heart attack. These sensations are to good to be true.
Cagliari where playing in their box, it was impossible to go in. IMO Ancelotti should have substituted Pancaro eariler, he was suffering Esposito and another yellow card was imminent for him. Even substituting JTD. OK JDT did nothing but we needed to win and to win you never take out a striker.

LOL
How many games have Dhorasso has actually played for Milan? I can throw 1 three point and got in. 3/3 = 100% and Another basketball player can throw 100 free throws and scored 60 points. Which one will u choose then?
That's what I'm trying to say. People use their emotion to judge a game but not logic.
I do agree with the 4321 formation though.

And we don't bring back Albertini because according to statistics, he doesn't perform as well as before. How you believe that Pirlo is not performing is really weird to me. No statistic, no logic. Pure emotion and let emotion to take over your logic.
I'm not sayign Dhorasso is not good, I'm saying if Mister don't play him, there is a reason, and I think it would be stupid enough for me not to play him because he "CANNOT". And btw, u can't compare D. and Pirlo.
Read what Goal.com says about 'JUventus': It's a report about Sheva missing the game against Man U but ... here go...
"...Milan ended up winning this evening’s match 1-0, and now lead the Serie A standings together with Juvenuts"
Would have been funnier if they had spelt it "Jurenuts";)
I see some reasons why we win soooo difficultly:
- the responsibility of deciding the game falls on too few players: Seedorf, Pirlo, Kaka, Shevcenko;
- when Sheva is out, we are unable to change the pattern and we go on crossing the ball in the penalty area;
-statistics say that only 3 of the goals scored before Cagliari we scored from outside the penalty area, and this last match was no exception;
- my TV set must have been out of order: it didn't show Brocchi, though the commentator claimed that Brocchi was in. Was he?!;
- Rui Costa is kept too much in the pitch. He is the player with the best alibies and the poorest net performance: he can dribble two or three adversaries but his last pass will fail=> alibi: he dribbled fantastically. He can free himself in the penalty area but his shot is way out=> alibi: he was free in the penalty area. He can run with the ball at his foot for tens of metres but he exhausts and looses it=> alibi: what an artistic run he has just made.
- we don't have a constant second striker to rely on.
When juve was 8 pts. ahead, they were winning luckily. In closing the gap, we needed enormously much luck.
I am skeptical about winning lo Scudetto in the present circumstances. Luck is migratory.
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, luck is as luck does. To win anything you need a combination of skill, preperation, execution and a little luck. That said, Serginho was johnny on the spot again, as he has been so often in his Milan career. I like that guy...
