View Full Version : Michael Owen.
What a Prat, Left Liverpool to earn more Silverware and ended up with nothing, wonder what Stevie G must be telling him, futhermost I'm sure he must kicking himself for leaving Liverpool after their CL success. Liverpool had striking crisis all season and Madrid more often than not he started from the bench, one always reap what they sow.

well hindsights a wonderful thing :D
Owen left a side that nobody at the time thought could even challenge domestically or in Europe for a side that (in theory at least :D ) should challenge for everything. Its hard to look back and say he was wrong to do it. Not a great deal changed for Liverpool this year, thats why its such a surprise they won, remember they may have been tough to beat in Europe but in England they lost 14 games and finished level on points with Bolton !
It is also quite possible that they would have lost to Milan with Owen in the team ;)

It is also possible that with Owen in the team, they would not even have the chance to play us. :broken: They could have been killed by Juventus or Chelsea, or worse, by Rivaldo. ;)

True LOL but Liverpool won it and he went trophyless, he left for more success, life always has it's fair share of irony. :p1510:

I honestly never thought he was phenomenal. He was hyped up too much, I think Rooney is way better than he is realtively speaking.

yeah Rooney is a far more rounded player, a guy who really could be a genuine worldbeater. Owen has focussed his game to make the best use of his pace and finishing, he also has excellent positioning which is why he can score headers so often despite being about 3'6" :D
If Rooney gets the ball anywhere in the opponents half he is dangerous, Owen is only dangerous if he gets in behind the defence or if the defence is under pressure and leaving gaps.
