Rossoneri turn to Ruud

With Alberto Gilardino’s price-tag still too expensive, Milan have reportedly turned their attention towards Ruud van Nistelrooy.
There are claims that the Dutchman has already given his verbal consent to the move after a disappointing and injury-ravaged campaign at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson would allegedly be willing to part with van Nistelrooy for £10m, though that figure could be lowered by the inclusion of Jon Dahl Tomasson (pictured) as part of the deal.
Italian newspapers suggest that the former PSV Eindhoven hitman’s agents travelled to Milan in order to propose the switch and the Rossoneri are content with the financial package – considerably smoother than the £25m Parma have requested for Gilardino.
A new striker is needed at the San Siro, as Hernan Crespo is increasingly unlikely to extend his Serie A stay. Chelsea are finding it difficult to sign a replacement for the Argentine and are selling Mateja Kezman to Atletico Madrid.
“I am not relaxed at all,” revealed Crespo in the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’. “I am trying not to think about it and wait to see what happens. I want to talk to Chelsea over the next few days, but my agent has told me to stay calm and is trying to set up a meeting.”
strange. i would rather keep crespo.

i'd rather have crespo too.. rvn's style is much like pippo's.. i'd say get rid of JDT, but galliani did confirm that he we will keep JDT next season, but yet , he also confirmed that we will keep Dhorasoo, and he seems to be on his way out!
this is definitely, DEFINITELY just a rumour.. and i really do hope it is, because i dont want to see any player from the premiership in our team..the only exception would be Robben..
media are making up hell alotta stories recently.. first ballack, and now RvN, im sure it'll be henry in 3 days time and everyone here will have a topic open saying that we signed henry..we need to be patient, and not rush our transfer campaign..i have complete faith in braida.. if in somehow he faaills to bring the expected target (current example: gila, previous example: cannavaro), he'll bring some1 even better to make it up! (previous example: nesta, current example: ?)
you guys should have no worries and just be patient, ofcourse we all wish for dream signings, but you all should know that, we are the strongest team in the world and we dont need any new signings at all, we are the only team in the world that fields 11 SUPER stars in our starting lineup.. not even Real have as many stars as we do..

totally agreee.... current example maybe my dream signing: the one and only Fernando Torres
I'd like to have Ruud just for the sake of pissing the Man Utd fans off :D

Getting Ruud van Nistelrooy would be fantastic, I'd rather have him than Crespo.
Ruud has scored 45 goals in 54 Champions League matches (9/15 for PSV Eindhoven, 36/39 for Manchester United).
For PSV Eindhoven he scored 62 goals in 67 league matches, and for Manchester United he has scored 74 goals in 115 league matches.
He is a truly great striker who is good enough for any team, also Milan.
Getting Ruud to Milan would be a dream! And I'm afraid that's what it is too...
And now, to wake me up: :coffee:
if we get RVN milan will be unbeatable (thats until the oppostion then decides to go "gung ho" for our jugular then we`re doooooooooomed).
anyway crespo, inzaghi and RVN are all the same tye of penalty box specialists (ala gary lineker), he`d be lethal with sheva playing off him
anyway the guys record speaks for itself be it at club level or internationally.
however i cant see united letting him go for just £10M and JDT thats unless its Glazer doing the deal or maybe they enlisted the help of that great transfer guru and wheeler dealer peter kenyon!! LOL!!
JDT and 10 Mill for Ruud?

He's already won the league, FA CUP, and community shield(worthless really) so I don't think he'll leave until we win CL

yes he will come here to win the CL with us in paris. :u56:

Obviously he knows that he is better off in Milan when it comes to winning UCL. Not that I think this deal will happen.

Crespo has his world class days, but also have days where he is totally gone. RVN is much more consisten and I would go for the deal so Ancelotti would have Sheva, Gilardino, Ruud and Pippo for dispossal for next season.
Nistelrooy would be the perfekt partner for Sheva, as Ruud is a box player and Sheva is a allrounder
BTW - I would not be surprised if Vieri also would be an Milan player next season :5ok:

This is just a rumour which defies logic. SAF will never want to let go of RVN for a mere 10 million. Furthermore, I think this is a diversion as Milan really want to snap up Gila as quickly as possible.
It has been rumoured that RVN wants to go to Real and I am sure they will pay a pretty penny (largely cause they are stupid) notwithstanding his latest injuries.
This could possibly be the worst signing Milan make for three reasons:
1) RVN is an unknown quantity in the Serie A and we need a sure bet for next season.
2) He has been dogged by injuries
3) He has very similar traits to Pippo (as has been mentioned above).
Also, never discount dirty Chelsea. Should the bid for Owen fail they will come after RVN. God, I hope they do.
RVN is completely world class, i like man u and think it would be a huge mistake for them sto sell so in all honesty I wouldn't like to see this move go through but it would be an incredible signing for milan.
RVN has a phenomenal scoring rate in the domestic league and in europe, you can't deny he's class.

he maybe an unknown quantity in italy but so is someone like steven gerrard or even wayne rooney and im sure they`d both cope with italian football.
i think there are only two factors to consider ina footballer to see if he`ll do well in any of the big leagues and they are...
1. how good are they in the champions league and....
2. how good are they internationally....
RVN has in no doubt ticked both those boxes with apomb!!
and so what if hes like pippo? isnt that what crespo is? isnt crespo a penalty box predator?
do we not see sheva play as the link forward with crespo poaching? i dont understand how you can not see RVN playing in the same way.
i also think RVN`s ability to hold up the ball and bring others into play is phenomenal...
if this transfer really goes through i`m going to get tickets to the milan vs juve game and crash at my uncles house next season!!! LOL!!!
BRING IT ON

bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
The press must be really desperate for stories :D
Utd's problems have come from the fact that Ruud is the only box striker at the club, Rooney and Smith are support strikers and Saha is too injury prone to consider. Swapping him for a paltry sum and another support striker is illogical as the money wouldnt allow a replacement of sufficient quality (imho RvN is irreplaceable anyway as he is the best player at his job)
Glazer may not know much about football but even he'll see this is idiotic ;)
This could possibly be the worst signing Milan make for three reasons:
For Utd this would be a very bad deal but for Milan swapping JDT and £10m for a striker of RvN's calibre would be a masterstroke. Aint gonna happen though

Plus a ruud awakening for all MANUre Fans. :yuck:
Van Nistelrooy ?????NO WAY!!!!!!!!!! :d55:
We need someone like Torres/Tevez/or even Rooney:devf:
By the way why did we sell Coloccini??For me it was the greates mistake Ancelotti made in the transfer market. He was good in the confederations cup.

He's too scared to visit Machester so he sent his sons over to speak for him, if he dared to swap Ruud for JDT then he wouldnt have to worry about not visiting Manchester as Manchester (the red half anyway) would be flying over to visit him :D
Rudd who?????
surely you remember him? he looks a bit like a horse and scores at almost a goal a game, particularly in Europe ;)

Van Nistellroy is very good, for me better than Crespo.
if we dont get gila then i surely wouldnt mind ruud, but his injuries are questionable... maybe manure can accept a deal of 10M and pippo instead of jdt ???

Pippo or JDT??? how about Sheva and £10m, then Fergie may be interested :D
I dont think Ruuds injuries will be a problem, last season was his first at Utd to be disrupted through injury and both RvN and Fergie have said that it was made worse as he was brought back too early when the injury hadnt fully healed. After a summer of rest he should fully recover and be back to his best for August
This deal will not happen though, it would be wrong for both sides. Utd dont want to lose RvN and even though Milan are known to be looking for a striker there are better deals than Ruud. Gila would cost roughly the same but he is 6 years younger and proven in Italy.

Interested in what? Selling the whole Manu team, most probably. Ruud+Ronaldo+Rooney+Giggs+20mil pounds are not enough for Sheva. The only way SAF can get close to Sheva is on a picture.

The Fact is that Sheva won't join a lowly Club like MANUre.

you dont get league points for winning the CL though, as Wenger says "the league is the best measure of a side, any chump can fluke a CL win" ( ok so thats not a direct quote, but its what he meant  )
Anyway, its amazing this non existant Ruud transfer is still being talked about, i guess we're all just bored of waiting for Parma to say yes ;)

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has moved for Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Galliani has turned to Van Nistelrooy after seeing talks with Parma for Alberto Gilardino again stall in the last 24 hours.
DiarioSport says United offered Van Nistelrooy to Milan earlier this summer for £11 million, but the proposal was knocked back as they focused on signing Gilardino.
However, with Parma refusing to budge from their £22 million valuation, Galliani is threatening to drop all interest and switch his sights to reviving a deal for Van Nistelrooy.
