CHELSKI GO BIG. THEN BIGGER
Having been linked with a £100m move for Ronaldinho on Saturday, Sunday finds Chelski reputedly on the verge of making a £60m bid for Andriy Shevchenko.

The News of the World claims that Milan have given Chelski the green light to make a world record bid.

According to most of our fellow members at the forums we have already signed Gila and just some formalities are left to complete, would allow Shevchenko to leave to Chelsea for 60 millions pounds, it does seem to be a good piece of bussiness considering we will have signed a champion.

As a fan, I would hate to see Sheva go. I think the options in the poll make it difficult to vote for letting him go. If the club was in financial crises or if we really needed to sign say Ronaldino, then letting Sheva go may have been understandable. Berlusconi is the second richest man in football (after Abramovic). Surely he should not be the first to cave into Chelsea super bidding.

where did you get that - 3-4 years ago, it would have been true. Now, the latest, I read a couple of months back, is more like: Roman - 11-12 bil euros, Silvio - 8-9 bil. Not that it matters, but Roman is officially richer.

Selling Sheva is crazy.Milan will not sell player because of high price. As a top team,we know that the key of the team are players not money. And no one can replace Sheva. Sheva is our love, not money can buy

Sheva is my favourite player...and most hated team is Chelsea..so if he moves to Chelsea..shocking time. I know its big money and this is last big offer before he reaches 30s. Everyone know there is never end of money...you earn...you spend, but player like sheva u cant "earn" every year...and when you get it dont "spend" it. Keep it.

Haha this rumour will not go away!

The club AND player have repeatedly said that he will not move. Papers and websites are just trying to get more exposure with these types of stories.

In my opinion, Shevchenko is at the peak of his career, selling him now for any amount of money would be silly. If indeed we do get Gilardino aswell, then I am confident that we boast the strongest attacking trio in the world (Shevchenko, Gilardino, Kaka).

Next season should be fun :)

this is horsesh*t: Sheva has proven himself at the highest levels of the game (Top team in Serie A; Champions League) and has also proven he can go the distance. As promising as Gilardino seems to be he has yet to prove anything with a big squad..Milan know that and would not give up Sheva thereby putting all there hopes on Gilardino a risk in the sense that he: may or may not perform as he has at a high level...he may or may not fit into Milan..he may or may not settle, etc. More over, Sheva is on a different level.
Milan's vision is having BOTH of them play....

The title thread and its content is different. "Sheva or Gila" makes it sound as if whom do you prefer to be your main striker - no doubt Shevchenko; but the main issue is: should you sell Sheva?

It would've been no, but if its true - IF its true, and IF Chelsea really did bid for Sheva at 87 mil Euros as reported - Should milan sell? Shevchenko has proven himself time and time again and rarely (if ever) makes mistakes. He is EXTREMELY valuable to Milan. BUT, football is a team game. No player comes above the team. If you sell Sheva and get 87 mil in return, thats a lot of money for Milan and Milan can have one hell of a transfer season (if not this one, the next)

I think Milan has done a good job in this transfer season and in that sense theres really no need for Chelsea's money. Plus, someone should stand up to Chelsea anyway. But, 87 mil remains 87 mil, and Milan will get it if Shevchenko is sold. They might or might not use it for future transfers, but it sure helps their finance.

Is Andriy Shevchenko's worth 87 mil or is he invaluable to Milan?

I've always wondered why Kaka was never played in the supporting striker role which would have made room for poor ole Ambrosini in the starting line-up ! :funpc:

thats true i thought we had to chosse who to pick.
as u said i wouldnt wana see sheva leave but when u get 87 mill thats not joke u can get pretty much cool players like ( Torres, Puyol, Ballack and Samul or kompany) now are all those all combind worth 87 for sure and in long term its great.
but Barlouscini has to say yes or no

Why is this even talked about? Are we not a big enough club anymore to have 2 world calss strikers heading our attack? Why should it even be 1 or the other? Come on guys, we are Milan and it is every player's dream to wear the rossoneri colours just ask Gila himself. We will have both of them in our team and as we have already shown in the previous 2 seasons, the best is still to come and after warning the rest of Europe for the last 2 seasons it is now time to go out and conquer again! We are the rightfull owners of the title "European Champions" and next season it will be ours once more!

OF COURSE the main purpose is to let both of them play, but IF (which I highly doubt) - Chelsea really did put in the offer - 87mil is a lot of money and Milan can do a hell lot with it! It just depends on how Berlu sees it - if he can sacrifice a player and get the 87mil for Milan's benefit, or keep Sheva. Everyone loves Shevchenko but if it can benefit Milan in a lot of ways, why not? Selling Sheva would hurt and the wound will probably never heal, but Milan continues to survive. No player comes above the club.
