View Full Version : Lucky white shirt for Champions League final?
You know we got to pick uniform for the final in Istambul, and we chose
the white uniform as it is supposed to be the lucky one for CL finals.
We lost the one from 1995 against Ajax wearing white, now 2005 against Liverpool.
We should be back in the final next year in Paris.
Would you prefer NOT to see the white jersey then?
(others say Istanbul went bad because the players touched the Cup on their way to the field - Gattuso and Sheva)

i dont believe that either of the shirts are luckier than the others.......... its just a psychological thing.....
e.g: my cousin plays with toys and they are all built identically(same brand n' all) but he believes certain of them are better at playing soccer with (i believe with a marble or smthing like tht), or luckier....... but rly they aren't...
although i think it would be nice to use our third kit in paris!!!!!!!!!!

heard that three of our players touched the trophy before the game, didn't know who they were until today. so it is sheva and gattuso huh? who was the third one, i wonder.
unfortunately they were indeed quite poor that night. :broken: especially gattuso, honestly, i was expecting a much better performance from him. together with dida and stam, they couldn't have picked a worse date. :broken:
In order Sheva, Gattuso and Kaka' touched it...
In 2003, Del Piero touched it and you know how it ended...
other coincidences:
Last time Liverpool had won the UCL, was in 1978, that year:
A new Pope was named.
Prince Charles of Wales got married.
just like this year.
we should wear the third jersey - the black one :)
Here's an idea, let's score more goals than the opposition and take the cup home regardless of kit colour :D
I agree, and this time, let's do that in both halves of the match...
Sticking with the subject, I like the new 3rd Kit, or the Sacchi era style,
rossonero with white shorts and socks.

uncle fester (galliani) thinks its good luck and also traditional (milan has won all their champion league's with the white.
Not all of them... I believe only 4 of the 6...
but after Istambul, may be time to go back to the basic red/black

Not true.
We won the Champion's League (then European Cup) final in 1969 in our traditional Rossonero colors. The other finals in 63, 89, 90, 94 & 2003 were won in the white kit.
During Berlusconi's era, we lost 2 finals in white 1995  & 2005  and another final in red & black (1993)

I think the players shouldnt care about the kit they wear, but should ensure that they wear pink thongs under their shorts...
I mean really, the fact is that destiny awarded the trophy not to the better team, but to the team that she thought should get it (destiny is DEFINATELY a woman)...
So IMO it doesnt matter what they wear, just outscore the competition in both halves as m1ke says, and go home with the damn cup.
Simple as that.
Yes, but it is important to feel comfortable with what you wear... not just when playing football, but always... there are cases where a team changes uniform and
their performance changes, for better or worse... psicology is as important as physical and technical skills...

Cadiz (Spanish Soccer Team) returns to 1º Division at same year (now this season returns!!!)
Coincidences? History?
