Basically, Milan have reached with Zeljko Kalac an agreement/contract until June 2008.

i think he's better than eleftheropoulos
i remember watching the game we played against Roda in the uefa cup..he was simply amazing..but that was 3 years ago..he is taller than dida (2.02 m) and looks like a good backup player

i agree. i never thought i would say this but i would like cassano at milan. the atmosphere at Milan would really help him mature and he knows it.

i feel sorry for demi though.

Fiori has done well in the US tournament I believe. Pulled off some nice saves

TBH Ive always thought that Kalac would go somewhere where he would be a first choice... this is rather a surprise. But a good backup goalie nontheless.

I think Fiori is better than Elefthereproeoplous. He palyed better in the US tour. Abbiati i think will go to Palermo, and I dont know what will happen with Demi.

Are we now keeping goalies for a month? Even if Kalac became available after not being so earlier this is not the way to build a team. Its like Elef was auditioning instead of being part of the team?
I think Kalac is really good but...

I know where you're coming from Reza, this is a little unfair on Elef assuming we will get rid of him now.

Anyway, Kalac is a very good keeper, particularly as a backup and now that he's at Milan, all I want to say is Welcome Spider :D

kalac is a fellow aussie , and is a very good keeper , not sure if he is a no.1 at milan when dida finishes but as a backup he will do well. Can make some mistakes but can also make some brilliant saves a bit like dida a few yrs ago so you never know with some milan training he could turn out to be a star as for the rest we should keep fiori as a squad player and sell abbiati for good and get rid of ele

I don't think we need to "keep" Fiore.....the man never plays and he still hangs out at Milan :D:D:D oh well....good for us. He must be a real Milan fan to way to stay permanently benched.

fiori is actually a pretty awesome keeper. he is ideal as a third choice keeper.

MILAN, Aug 12 (Reuters) - AC Milan have signed Australian goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac as understudy to their Brazilian international Dida.

Kalac was available on a free transfer after his Serie B club Perugia were refused a licence due to their financial troubles.

The 32-year-old, who made his name in Australia with Sydney United before moving to Dutch club Roda JC Kerkrade, had been with Perugia for the last three seasons.

Milan said Kalac, who is an Australian international, had signed a three-year deal with the club after passing a medical.

Kalac is the second keeper to join Milan in the off-season following the signing of Greek Dimitrios Eleftheropoulos from Messina.

Under Italian rules preserving a city's right to compete in the professional game a new Perugia club has been formed and will play in Serie C1 in the new season.

Lol

Fiori is a good keeper I agree, but having both him and Kalac as backups (and assuming Abbiati will go away) which leaves Demi too and of course no1 choice Dida

I dont know that seems a bit too much no?

We also have a Slovenian international in Sandro Bloudek. He is very highly-rated by our staff.

There are rumours today that Abbiati and Ele will leave to Siena and Cagliari.
