Viera knocked down Kaka, that's the difference having Viera in the team, great leader.
If you go back with the years, I think was Capello who sold him to Arsenal.

I think Juve is ahead on preparation, they are playing better because our midfield is weak.
Maldini is having a bad evening so far (yellow card)

I am seeing some good tendencies in our attacking play though. Some really nice moves, but it seems like we are lacking in determination.

I think the difference is Vieri, he is a big guy, which gives to Sveva and Kaka, more space.
Sheva needs a big guy alongside him.

was that a regular goal and a "mistake" from the ref or what? ... hopeufully, this is not a sign how the season is gonna be like - refs yet again treating Juve to a title.

Hello everybody,
this is my first post (though I would have posted during the Milan - Chelsea game to give a video link, but my e-mail interrupted my registration).
Anyway, Buffon appears to have been taken off, replaced by Antonio Chimenti - appears to be an injured hand from denying Kaka or Gilardino.
Also Kaka has been replaced by Rui Costa.
damn gila alone with the goalkeeper and misses
According the gazzeta!!
Milan level the match!!
Gilardino miss a big chance with a pass of Rui!

devoted, is the Sheva-Gila partnership any good?
our formation right now is i think
Stam - Nesta - Kaladze
Cafu-Gattuso- Pirlo-Seedorf
Rui costa
Sheva - Gila
I think we tend to play better with Rui on always! But it would be a huge loss to leave Kaka out :/ Looks like Gila needs a bit more time.. but lets not worry about him ppl, in the last 2 years he never started his season well and always ended up finding his form and ending up the runner up in the top scorer list :)
Cheers, we'll need all the luck we can get! Just wish we got our defence sorted and our strikers scoring goals.

Rui Costa his having a good spell in this beginning of season.
He may be usefull to play 15/20 minutes for games.
Great vision, after the goal v Chelsea, another great stuff.
Rui must shows to Figo, who's the King of Milano :)

could anyone please describe the goal? and damn, rui is playing much better than Kaka is.. Ancelotti will be HEAVILY criticised if Kaka keeps starting every game automatically next season
cheers nammy...sunderland didnt do too well yesterday..you think they`ll stay up?
Hhhmmmm....we have the quality to stay up, but I find that some of our players don't seem to have the passion (as Wigan did against Chelsea today, if anyone watched). Silly mistakes also cause us problems, like Jonathan Stead (our 6' 3" striker) ducking away from a free kick that lead to a goal!

72' RUI COSTA HITS POST
8/14/2005

Not true, Kaka had a very good spell in the first half.

From the official site:
"Rui Costa sets up the Rossoneri second, with a diagonal ball over the top of the defence for Serginho to run on to and the Brazilian finishes with a crisp left-footed shot into the corner of the net."
You should be able to see it on www.acmilan.co.il/results.asp (http://www.acmilan.co.il/results.asp) sometime this week also.

Kaka' was incredible in the last 20 or so min of the 1st half up until he was subbed. But I agree that Rui should be given much more playing time this season especially at the start given the great shape he is in now.

Btw, Gila should have been given a penalty. Some Juve defender tore him down inside the box, and the ref was excellently positioned to see it, but no call.
asmileneverlies
14-08-2005, 15:52
Juve was all over in the first 30 minutes, Milan did not got well with Jankulovski at left back.
Then Kaka had a good spell.
Second half was Milan all over and we deserved the victory.
Both Gila and Vieri, gave Milan a better attacking option.
If Ancelotti sort his mind with the team 3/4/1/2 or 4/3/1/2, we can have another very good season.

how well did Sheva and Gila and Kaka play together? What about Rui and Gila? What about Marek? Which formation is better? please give us details! and especially about the Rui post!

hmm, good result I guess, but the result isn't important.
Seems we were ok tonight, though we can improve. Rui is impressing atm and its not surprising that people are calling for him to start more. However, my question is this, rather than playing him more instead of a very good looking Kaka, how about giving him more chances in the Seedorf role. Personally, I think he could be interesting in that role, as he may not be great defensively, but from an attacking perspective, he does come deep a lot more than most attacking midfielders and his movement would be great from that role.
Its important to consider that neither side played their strongest sides tonight, so whatever may have happened, it doesn't necessarily mean that this is what to expect this year.
Gilardino is looking pretty interesting atm. He may not be scoring so much, but don't forget, this is preseason and he began training later than the rest of the squad, so I doubt he's match fit yet.
Juve's midfield is looking pretty strong tbh, just as expected, but I don't think we have anything to worry about, we look very strong too.
Again, like the other friendlies this summer, I think we can take many positives from today. This year, it certainly seems the players are more determined than any of the previous few years, which could well become a key factor to our success.
Welcome Nammy :)

If Ancelotti sort his mind with the team 3/4/1/2 or 4/3/1/2, we can have another very good season.
he doesn't have to choose - both systems can be appied with success and after some time practicing them, the team will confortable with both. We just started using this 3 -5-2 thing (no matter how much Carlo wants to convince us that we played it last year too) so it is normal for the players to be a bit unsettled by that. Great teams should be able to addapt to different conditions using diffrent tactics and this takes some time.
Anyway, great perfomance by Milan and especially Kaka, Rui, and Pirlo. Seedorf, Sheva, Sergio, Gila, and Vieri also did very, very well.
what a weird kit of gobbi - red... really queer... anyway, we won - they suck
Forza Rossoneri!

Good win for Milan. Really good to see alot of players are in good form. Rui and Serginho might not be starters now but they are really making a case for themselves. Personally I like Rui Costa to come in for Kaka' about half way through the second half. Next season is really looking promising now!
Forza Milan!

Well Nadir..the windows media player window did say something about codecs...ie error downloading codec....now what?
ACMILAN1983
15-08-2005, 16:48
right Warro, I believe the highlights are in .avi format. If you go to...
http://www.divx.com
or
http://www.divx.com/divx/play/
and download the divx play bundle (its free) that is in the middle of the page (in the first link) in a blue box and then install it on your machine, it should provide the codec (errm...just think of it as something you need to play certain types of files) you need.
Then you should be able to play the file in the Div X player and Windows Media Player (which may still say error downloading codec, but you can just ignore that as the file will still play).
Hope this helps
the hypocrisy of juve. so blatant.
First Capello criticises Milan for being "tough"
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug15b.html
Then Moggi DEFENDS Juve's Vieria saying, "His fouls? Committing fouls is a normal aspect of football but he doesnt eat players."
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug15d.html
I highly doubt Paolo Maldini INTENTIONALLY put nedved out of the game. And if you saw the highlights (yes, i freeze framed the moment), you will see Buffon's injury has NOTHING to do with Kaka. Buffon happened to come out to try to make the save with his arm outstretched. How Capello could blame Kaka for his injury is beyond me.
Warro Bantan

Nadir...what did you expect of hypocrites..but hypocrisy?
ACMILAN1983...thanks for the help, but my laptop (for work) doesnt allow for me to download and install programs from the net...so I guess I just wont see those highlights..such is life..
Juve shouldnt moan about the knocks to their players when they play us...as Carlo said, there is no such thing as a "friendly" between Milan and Juve..
Sorry that their players were injured though..but I refuse to belive that Kaka and Maldini did anything in spite or on purpose.
i saw the highlights. looked pretty straightforward. nothing malicious - especially the buffon injury. hate to say this but it's time to build up some points while buffon is away ;)

Thats a shame Warro.
Yeah, the tackles weren't bad at all, in fact I would say they were fair attempts at the ball and it was just bad luck on Buffon and Nedved's part.
on nedveds injury i thought maldini got the ball 100% and didnt even touch nedved
on buffons injury kaka went for the ball and almost got it, what surprises me is that buffon got injured on his shoulder from what i saw on the highlights provided that if anything buffon should have had his head hurt and not his shoulder.
erm ... i misplaced my post... dont read this

Actually, my good friend Zlatanov sent me the zip files of the highlights, so I was able to see the mountain Capello made of the mole hill type tackles or plays that resulted in injuries to his key players.
He should really just :mute:
