Brescia will face Milan in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia following Monday’s 1-0 win over Chievo.

The Serie B side got the better of their former top-flight rivals thanks to an 82nd minute header from Hugo Mareco.

Brescia, relegated from the First Division last term, should have rippled the net sooner but Davide Possanzini’s penalty was saved by the brilliant Alberto Fontana.

"It was a deserved victory as we created a host of chances," said Rondinelle boss Rolando Maran.

"Apart from causing Chievo real problems, we also had that penalty chance and this win is a good sign.

"Fontana? He was basically saving everything but we were rewarded at the end of the game."

The next round of the competition won’t take place until later this year, with Juventus-Fiorentina and Inter-Parma the ties of the round.

Ciao,

I only want to say that we, Milan-tifosi , DO NOT hate Brescia. The Milan & Brescia-fans have a fraternisation wich each other.

It won't say that we are Brescia - fans, allthough we like them allways playing in Serie A, together with us.

The most joyfull games in Serie A, are Milan - Brescia & Brescia - Milan. Both, as well the Milan-fans as the Brescia-fans come on to the pitch, before the game, with all their flags, ... and they make a tour on the pitch, saluting
all the fans in the stadium.

Please DO NOT hate Brescia!!

Milan & Brescia hand in hand!!

Molte cose finiscono, la NOSTRA UNIONE MAI!!

Why hate Brescia? As I know, Brescia is Milan's BEST friend, if not only, in Serie A (well, it used to be. :()

i dunno i never liked them... i know were friends with them but i find them as a tough opponent for us

That's true too. Most of them ended with draws, and that sucks indeed. :(

I've great memories of the 2003/04 season, playing Brescia on the last day of the season. All their supporters applauded our players for winning the scudetto, which was great to see :proud:

In 92-93 season, we won the Scudetto after 1-1 with Brescia. :p283: Albertini scored. :heart:
