As published today
Q: Ancelotti, what did Berlusconi ask you during your monday meeting?
A: We talked about football for roughly 10 minutes. Stop. We then had a good time, Berlusoni is very hospitale.
Q: Excuse my persistance, what did he ask you during thoese 10 minutes?
A: He told me that we must win, I answered that he's right ;)
Q: Do all these controversies involving you two bother you?
A: What bothers me is the interpretation of our relationship.
Q: The Campionato is just about to start, same as all the other teams or different?
A: On par with everbody else, in the sence that we hold great expectations. We are aware and presumptious enough to rate ouselfs the best team around  even though this does not grant you anything. I would rate this eve as positive oriented. We'll then have to see what the pitch verdict will be.
Q: Capello has recently said that Juve is currently at 90% of it's form, what about Milan?
A: We're fit enough, we're training diligently. I will not give a percentage, but I'm satisfied.
Q: Are you worried by Maldini's general helath/fitness condition?
A: No, Paolo is improving, today he trained regularly. It will be difficult to see him play 2 games during the same week, it will happen only in times of extreem need. In Ascoli he should play, I'm also convinced that he will not only play this season but also the next. :shades:
Q: Will you sign another defender just in case......?
A: We don't need anybody, we have 20 mobile players, plus young Marzoratti that has good enough quality. Ialso have faith in Inzaghi, he still has work to do but he's doing fine.
Q: It's believe that Milan has Madridtinized, loads of entertainment but also a few distrations to many?
A: On the pitch we don't undertake a battle, it's not in our chords. We don't practice a feroscious pressing but with our gameplan we've achieved great results. We were created to perform quality football. We could well become a fighting team, to do so, we should sign other players and at present, we have no intention of doing so.
Q: Which games of your Milan do you rate as the best?
A: Last seasons Juve vs Milan played in Torino and the 1st half played in Istanbul, we should start from there, playing the 2nd half somewhere else......
Q: You don't seem that conviced by a 3 man defence?
A: It ain't the best defence wise, but may become an asset attack wise in certain situations. In times were well need midfield advantage in order to gain continous flank opportunities, a 3 man defence may be very helpfull. You must be extreemly balanced though, in the end it's balance that counts. This season the Scudetto will be won by whom will conceed the fewest number of goals, cause their are a number of great strikers around. Last season we were not unpenetrable, we conceeded way to many scoring opportunities to our adversaries, during this pre-season we've also been working on this.
Q: Serginho is currently in great form?
A: If he continues this way, he well certainly be fielded morethan in the past. Together with Cafu and Janku, they could well become lethal weapons on the flanks. The whole squad has worked a lot in pre-season, I'm very satisfied. We will field whoever is in better condition.
Q: During this Sardinia blitz, has Sheva confessed to you when he'll leave Milan?
A: I don't believe it will happen. Sheva has now entered that group of players that leave Milan only when the quit football. He's family now, a huge family, filled with champs :proud:
Q: How would you rate Sheva's understanding with Gila nad Vieri?
A: He must still get accostumed with their movements and style of play, since the are new and play in different fashion compared to other strikers that played here before them. It will take time but not that much.
Q: During the recent friendlies he played for his teamates and did shot that often towards goal.
A: He's saving his rounds for when it matters...... ;)
Q: Talking about champs, Brazilian NT trainer Perreira recentlt stated that Kaka must not be overworked.
A: Perreira is right, Intercontinental journeys are deadly, worse possiblr thing for a player, he could avoid calling him............... ;)
Ricky is a phenomenum, a modern trequartisata (support striker), so ifferent to all the others, cause he verticalizes supremely, he dosen't waste time, he's always present in scoring zone
Q: The overwhelming number of games plus the WC are a problem for you?
A: No, in November the NT problem will be over till May and Italy, Brazil and Ucrania are very close to qualification.
Q: Is the Milan Era close to ending?
A: No, cause of a number of our players are still young like Kaka and Gila, or, in currently in the best period of their carrier like Pirlo, Ambrosini, Gattuso and Nesta. May I also add that players never want to leave Milan cause they are well aware that you can't find any better. Among players they talk, and they know it's like this. :proud:  :proud:
Q: Straight answer, whom do you feel will be your greatest rival: Inter or Juve?
A: We're all on par cause Inter has improved considerably.
Q: Will clashes among these three teams make all the difference?
A: Very important but not decisive. Also due to the fact that beating teams that have indeed improved considerably like Fiorentina, Udinese, Sampdoria, Palermo and Roma won't be a piece of cake.
Q: What about Europe?
A: Milan, Inter, Juve and Chelsea are in pole position, IMO even trasfer market wise, they have done better that all the other teams. Obviously Barca, Bayern M and the other English teams would be no surprise, whilst I'm not sure about Real Madrid. I must add that IMO the Italian teams have the edge though, I think even more so after having seen Juve vs Inter saturday and the day after Chelsea vs Arsenal. Rythm, emotions and intensity wise the Super Cup was far better than the englisg game. I hope to live another season like 2002/03 when Milan, Juve and Inter were all in semifinal ;)
Q: Future plans
A: First goal is to remain with Milan till 2007 when my contract expires. 2nd goal is to achieve as much success as possible, in order to push the board to extend my contract till 2009  Then .....
Q: Then?
A: In 2010 I would like to take part of the WC in South Africa.
Q: Should Lippi be worried?
A: Lippi should not worry. I wouldn't mind living this experience with a foreign NT, perhaps even South Africa.
Q: Or maybe you could swap benches with your old buddy Marco Van Basten?
A: Why not. But how old would Seedorf be in 2010? 34. I'd still have to include him in the squad ;)
Q: If you were just a supporter, what would you demand to Milan?
A: To mantain it's mentality, to try and always deliver emotions and entertainment. Just like last season, even if we delived a few negative emotions to many
