You know, it really seems like the team is mentally stronger this season. We are showing that we are able to fight back after set-backs like Fenerbache's goal tonight, what happened in Ascoli, not to mention that we don't seem affected by Istanbul at all.
I am starting to hope that this could be a really good season for us.

But bad news is we allowed another goal from a set piece :rolleyes:.
A penalty isnt your average "set piece"...so to not concede from that, is luck, :w221: or good/excellent form and/or guesswork from the goalkeeper.
What I am concerned about is Carlo´s seeming inability to learn from all his previous mistakes regarding having both Rino and Max on the pitch at the same time.
Good thing there is a January transfer window...we could get maybe...what..about 10M pounds for Gattuso? Enough to buy another quality DM? :de3:

I think milan supporters can see the truth now..
The other turkish team supporters ( galatasaray and besiktas ) ar swearing at us and we try to keep our calm.
That s our difference.

But, I believed that we could change the result in Old Trafford, but at the end of the game two goals, and go back pointless. And in Lyon, though we were 10, we dominated the game, but at 92 and 94, again two goals, go back pointless. That's what I am worrşed about. Don't let Kaka pass by at that minute!! We played just like last year. OK, one thing better, we have Volkan instead of Rüştü, thank God. We played well, like we did last year. Hope to have some better results against Schalke and PSV...

Ask most of us expected, Kaka is playing the same way he used to in 2003/04.. his goal today made me shout so loud.. it was really outstanding..
Gattuso doesnt deserve to be in the starting 11 when we have players on the bench of the likes of Serginho, Vogel, Rui Costa and especially Ambrosini.. Gattuso should be sent to the Premiership, he should play with ppl at the same level as he is.
Vieri was bad today, Gila didnt touch the ball since he came on (or maybe he did but didnt do anything).. Pirlo was very tired from the beginning of the game, didnt see him much.. Serginho did good work when he came on.. Ambro was solid. Nesta, Maldini were good. Kaladze dint do anything special other than that amazing 20m shot. Cafu got tired by the 50th minute. He stopped running down the right wing. Then when Cafu was resting at RB, Gattuso took the right wing. For all of you ppl who still support Gattuso, I just want to u to take a look at how Gattuso handled the right of midfield, he was disgusting. Vogel did okay, although he lost the ball in our half to Fenerbahce and it could have been costly. Im surprised that Rui didnt come on (ofcourse not instead of Kaka), but instead of anyone else, as Rui would have certainly changed the game given the current form he is in. Even Seedorf would have made a huge difference if he would have came in instead of Gattuso or Ambro's spot.
Anyway, overall, Milan did not play well today. We lacked creativity and concentration. This is one of the few games that we didnt control possession so easy, as Fenerbahce had the ball for long periods of the game. To me, if Pirlo plays well, all Milan functions well. He is the heart of the team. Dida didnt need to do any saves at all.

I`ve seen only highlights of our game(instead they broadcast Lyonnais-Real M :rollani: ) thus i basically only witnessed those 3 beautiful goals,especially the second one by Kaka`.Can someone please tell us more and what seemed to be the weakest point in our team?Highlights were too short for me to form an opinion about the way we played even though the commentator kept saing how our defence looked shaky.Is it true?

Despite everything a win is a win, we didn't have a super game and possibly 2-1 would have been a fairer result; even though we must not fail to underline that Chelsea edged a much weaker team than Fener (Anderlecht) 1-0 as Inter vs the team with a funny name :D and we all know about Real Madid :D Respect to how Fener played :)

My comments on the game:
I think Carlo made an odd choice playing both Gattuso and Ambrosini. After the goal the midfield lacked creativity and possession. It also didn't help that Gattuso was really off his game (in my opinion). The PK was not a dive in my opinion...I don't know if it merited a PK but he was shoved.
Vieri just looked either out of form or 'out of steam'. He created little..couldn't find space and at one point was just in between Kaka and Sheva.
This was certainly Kaka's day ... Serginho also gave the offense a boast bringing the ball up and adding an extra push.
I will admit it was very tense for a while....however, much like last season they never gave up and in the second half dominated possession and controlled the game.
I don't think that we should be so harsh to Vieri, I mean he hasn't play a game in 3 weeks now maybe? And it saddens me that Gattuso has gone from our hero to...well something a lot worse.
And I forgot to ask, where we playing good when Carlo changed to a 4-4-2 formation? And it's kind of dissapointing that he didn't use a 3-back defence.
Once again Im gonna say just this... Carlo sucks! He has no needed curage to run this team... Really, what was that today? If you think that is the way milan should play at home, wel... Im really dissapointed. Gattuso,kaladze,vieri...too bad. Cafu is great but after 60 min you can see his age. And once again Gattuso - Ambrosini combination did - NOTHING!!
Rui costa,serginho,seedorf,gilardino were out of play and we are defending a 20th minute lead, at home against fenerbahce!! Will someone fire this man already!!! after we loose this scudetto, it will be 4 years of Carlo with 2 mayor trophyes, I dont know but that is not enough.
OK, i read the time-by-time progress report of the match and saw highlits...
Like _Montreal said, playing Ambro and Gattuso tends to be a disaster for our play. We can win, but its gonna be a dull game with lots of defending and counters. Remember how we played in barcelona last year?
Vieri... i dont trust vieri that much, i would rather see gilardino starting and vieri replacing him at 70 or so. If he's gonna score, he can do it in the last 20 minutes, no problem :) But, i didnt trust in rusty crespo last year and to think how many games he sealed later on...
Kaka... great! I smell kaka from 2003/2004 coming out again. So nice to see him scoring with ease again. I hope this one lasts for at least whole season.
Gattuso... the penalty was 100% clear for me. It was even not a dangerous situation (3 defs in box, one almost marking anelka) and he ran him over like a train. They all knew that was a straight spot and noone even started to complain. He really is loosing his touch lately.
Other than that, looking from a distance, nice game, nice result, nice 3 points. That's all that matters to me now.
Like Inter :D , we did it the hard way. I'm not happy with Gattuso's contribution. He didn't have a particularly good season last year, culminating in an awful game during the CL final, and now he looks like he's thinking of Man U. I'm willing to wave goodbye to him in January if he doesn't shape up, mentally and physically.

Great game by Kaka and 2 beatiful goals. We left it late again and i wasnt very pleased with Gatuso. We should have sold him to Man U. and we would have gotten A LOT of money for him and now after his recent performances we wont get anything. :( Well i hope he gets it together.
Btw did u people see the 2nd Rosenborg goal against Olympiacos. If u havent i recommend u see it. It is a really funny and bizzare goal

I was a little shocked at Carlo's decision to remove Pirlo but he had to add width to the team to throw off Fener and Serginho's pace tormented them and resulted in a goal. Vogel on the other hand did far better than Gattuso did through the whole game.
It's quite clear that Gattuso's time in Milan is coming to an end - and if he continues in this vein he will have no chance of appearing for the Azzurri.
Yes it was tense for a while and I am frankly not confident in this Milan. It took a moment of sheer magic by Kaka to turn this game around - and it wasn't a team effort. 3-1 is definitely flattering to Milan because the score should have been 1-1. If anything I thought Fener would grab a winner!

Geez... Seriously, where the f**k is all this hate for Gattuso and Carlo coming from? Wasn't he our fan favourite the season we won the CL, two seasons ago and even last season? Where were the people saying Ambro should've been sold and was only staying on because he was intended to be our future captain? And seriously, what has Carlo done(or rather not done) so far to deserve this? 6 mins of luck in the CL and 90 mins of a bit more luck against Juve in the Serie A and I'm sure alot of people would be singing different tunes today.
Wierd, I didn't see people wanting to sell Seedorf off for 10 million when he was playing some really bad football more than 10 games into the season. Why the sudden hate? Funny, you guys can give our neighbourhood hero and other newcomers more support than someone who has served the club with all his heart and played his guts out for the fans for the past few years? And for Carletto if not for last season we'd have probably been close to the most successful Milan in history. And for Christ's sake we haven't even lost a game yet. If Gattuso leaves it will be deeply regretted and in spite of all these ********s that claimed he "had his mind on United" and "is sooooo freakin' useless"...

No we are here don't worry. :) We were trying to deal with some other Turkish non-Fenerbahce supporters. They were writing bad stuff, nothing about soccer.
I want to write someting, about the bad experience you guys had after the game:
Don't look these fools and think bad about Turkish people. Unfortunately, we have these people and trying to educate them. So they will be able to behave like humans. :)

U got a point in here. I also dont blame Carlo for loosing titles last year, but i still think he should learn that playing two stoppers in midfield really doesnt help.
Gattuso performance was bad in last 3 games, and there was even some rumors about him leaving milan - that just pisses me off. If he is playing badly, at least he must be proud and try to do better. Yesterdays penalty was imo so ignorant from him. Anyway, we wont sell him this year so he has enough time to get in better form.

OK, I got your point. Looks like it happened that way. Did you watch the game? I don't see so many people writing their comments about the game. Maybe topic went out of control and people lost their motivation. Anyway, congratulations. We did not play bad, but we lack experience Milan has. We always concede goals at the last minutes. Get the yellow card and don't let Kaka go! And as far as possible please! But, no, nothing has changed. But still they had too much effort that makes me proud of them.

Agreed. She actually helped us out when the Fener fans were making trouble here. She told them to stop. Unfortunately she cant control all of them especially when a bunch are Gala fans now. I hope you stay with MM too.
