You're kidding right??? The tickets I had bought for away games while I was there for over a month were dirt cheap compared to sporting events in the US. Now that's expensive... not footie tickets.
You're kidding right??? The tickets I had bought for away games while I was there for over a month were dirt cheap compared to sporting events in the US. Now that's expensive... not footie tickets. You compare prices to those in US. It is not fair. Italians earn less than americans IMO ;)
Ok. But the Euro is 1.31 to the US dollar the last time I checked. Still the tickets were cheap when Milan was playing away. I actually felt it cost more when games were played at the San Siro. I think some of these Ultras want it all free. That's just not how it works I dont care how devoted of a fan one is. If they are so devoted they ought to be more than happy to pay more. No?????
If you pay your last cents to see your team is playing does not lifts you up into the sky. Even though you feel deighted after the meatch that yer team won, but after that yoy face reality and your empty pocket. And if a fan has a family to support... money is a vitrue. If you have it it's okey. But if you don't... [as I do :(]

I see your point rae, but on the other hand, if a fan is that broke, even an ultra, and he has a family to feed, then the familiesīneeds should come before going to watch a football match. Put dinner on the table first is what I say. And as a breadwinner for mine, there are times I have had to sacrifice football for my families needs. Indeed, maybe that Ultra he should sit with his family at home and watch the game together with them on tv if possible.
For too long the Ultraīs have been cuddled and breast fed by the clubs, as if they were totally essential to the clubīs success. Now that the Italian authorities are being forced to bring the game into the 21st century, and leave the 70s, where they seem to be mired, things like free entry for Ultraīs and their gangs, and "anything goes" areas of the curva will also have to be phased out.
That last is a personal disappointment for me, as I was looking forward to going to the curva of the San Siro and blazing a big one as I watch the match, but in all honesty, I would prefer to sit in a nice, comfortable seat, with my 12 year old son, and watch the match, without the blazing, as that is something I dont do in front of him.
All in all, if we want a family atmosphere to be viable in our stadium, then it has to be created, and the easiest and most feasable way to do that is by creating, and enforcing rules of conduct.
I agree with you on the the first part. A man gots to do what he gots to do. Take care his family.
I sat in the Ultra section but only after an invite and an okay form the boys. I have to admit though that without the Curva's pageantry and banners and all, San Siro wouldnt have that unique atmosphere. From what I recall the Curva Sud is one f'd up area in the whole San Siro. I mean these guys burn all those banners they make right there on the seats melting it and causing one heck of a repair bill. I say keep that part the way it is and improve the other areas of the Arena. I think the orange section should be a heck of a lot better with the prices that they charge. I dont expect it to be like the tribuna section and even that area could use a good make-over. I like the San Siro very much as a football setting. The problem I would agree is that it is in dire need of repair. So much so that it just might be more feasable and prudent to build a whole new stadium. So the question is... How do we do this in a most sensitive way as to not piss off all the traditionalists??? It's a tough one but I'm glad Galliani brought this forward. I'm on the fence on this one unfortunately.

Of more of a concern to me is the total non availability of tickets to home games at the moment.I know that for all tickets sold names and addresses have to be given for all attending the game noit just the person purchasing the tickets.I thought that might be pART OF THE PROBLEM?
i think ultras should pay to go to games, and they shouldnt be free... but i also think that every team and especially milan needs their ultras with those wild chants and numerous flares in matches, they just give the match a better taste... i always prefer home games mainly because of the ultras presence, i love to hear them roar or even whistle, they make the game more attracting and appealing to the viewers, as far as im concerned i think we have one of the best fans in games in the world and probably the best in europe, even better than liverpool (because despite them being almost always more than us, we are wilder) and when u take this away u lose a big part of the honour of being a milanista.

well the Juve fans protested as well, though C4 stated it was due to some new rule on tighter securities? Hmm

I think so sehnsuct79...I believe its a combination of the ticket prices, the fact that you have to give name and address b4 u can get a ticket, as well as to being searched prior to entering the game (tighter security).
i think ther were more protests at the lazio-inter match...

They should do something about the stadiums. You are paying so much for a ticket, and the stadiums are not good for viewing. The Delle Alpi and the Stadio Olympico in Roma have terrible viewings. The race track makes it so terrible.
