View Full Version : Milan coverage on Fox Soccer Channel
For those of us that live in the United States Fox Soccer Channel has impressive coverage of Milan during the week. So far this season they have shown both UEFA Champs Lge matches recorded. Also they televised one Serie A game live, I think it was either Lazio or Treviso.
In addition, FSC broadcasts 'Milan Weekly', a magazine show from the Milan Channel which covers the current goings on at Milanello.
During weeks with no Chanps Lge action, they are showing old classic games of Milan....last night Milan v. Real Madrid 88-89. It was funny to hear Costacurta and Maldini being referred to as 'youngsters'. Also Carlo Ancelotti scored a spectacular goal !

Yes andrei1, I missed the 88-89 match, but look forward to other such repeats.
I like this new tactic by Milan to increase our profile in the US. The more US fans (and Fans in general) we have, the better.

you can get FSC either with Satellite TV, which in your case would be a bit hard to get for it requires a dish to be installed, or cable TV like Comcast or some other company. Not sure if you will be able to get cable TV too but it's gonna be much easier than getting satellite for example.
If you have friends living off campus, you may consider getting satellite TV (Dish 500) - better quality, much more football, and cheaper too - and dividing the monthly fee among you guys (for Dish 500 a good package is available for less than 50 bucks/month). This could be something you might wanna consider.
Good luck with this.

Almost Anything you get will have this channel, Direct TV has it and many more soccer channels. I been watching Milan Weekly and those classic games. :p017:

they do but Dish 500 has packages that include many other soccer channels, some of them not available on Direct TV (or at least not as part of a "general" package but have to be ordered and payed for seperately), for less money than Direct TV. That's why I recommended Dish - FSC is available virtually from any Satellite and cable company but Dish gives much more than that for the least money.
Yeah, Dish Network carries the GOLTV channel which is Gods gift to the Italian soccer fan residing n the United States...
Haven't missed more than maybe 10 Milan Serie A games in the last 2-3 years. They are shown mostly live, or Same Day Delay...its awesome !
Dish Network gives you access to FSC and GOLTV. Inaddition you can get RAI International for $12.99/month, which shows Milan's Coppa Italia games and some Serie A.
Recently, ESPN Deportes has become available as part of a Spanish language package. So now we will be able to watch all Champs Lge games, albeit in Spanish....I don't usually listen to what those goofballs have to say anyways.
happy watching!

but isnt goltv still 100 times better then FSC
why does FSC show the two PSV-Milan games as part of its 'Milan Classics' show???
Arent they suposed to be showing actual classic matches, such as Milan-Real back in 89? (BTW, i just saw that game and it is amazing that maldini and costacurta played for the team 2 years befor i was born and ar stil playing now, when im 14)

They have shown the Milan v Real match already!

I know. I meant that they should be showing actual classic matches instead of champions league games from 2 days ago.
I have Dish Network, so both GolTV and FSC, GolTV is better IMO... also RAI International... most of the time, GolTV and RAI will be showing the same games, but not always... also 91 Minuto, and Grande Giostra...
As for the classics, take it easy, they have to dosify... can't throw all the best games at once... games like the one vs. R.Madrid can be counted with the fingers... add last week's game vs. Juve... and the CL finals we've won... Intercontinentals, etc.

yes, I felt awful about that too. sitting there for 4 hours knowing that we won't have any goal already, sucks. :5milan: but I felt that was a moral obligation to sit in front of TV, so I did. :)
next week (or in the coming 10 days), they will show three Milan games. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Goteburg. they didn't clearly which games exactly. Hopefully they will be 4-0, 5-0 and 4-0, respectively. :star:
you can check out the tv listings for details. :coffee:
GOL TV has great coverage, but i didn't like the anouncer during the juve-milan match. 4 the whole 1st half he talked bout how milan's goals wer fortunate. all goals involve some luck, and juve isnt exactly an unfortunate team. milan outclassed and outplayed juve for the entire 90 minutes, so ther is no way the didnt deserve the full 3 points.
Biased commentators suck. Anyways, I can't wait for GolTv Canada to be broadcasted through Bell Express Vu here in Canada.
I noticed something on FSC's (US) Serie A programming and below are the teams that have enjoyed the majority in our screens (Week 1 to Week 4 schedules) :lick:
Catania - 3 out 4 matchdays
Atalanta - 2 out of 4 matchdays
Torino - 2 out of 4 matchdays
Pathetic, in short. :groan: If it was last year, I would have been watching Serie B.
If I should mention who are the runner-ups: Messina (supposed to be relegated), Siena, Cagliari --> these are the bottom 3 teams who managed to stay in Serie A.
Well ok, there are some decent teams who have appeared once: Lazio (2x), Parma, Palermo and Livorno. I haven't had FSC before so it might be too early to say all these.
But they have Milan Magazine which is nice :) . Thank God for GolTV! A Milan game every matchday so far! Some Live, some not. Plus they seem to like showing Inter, Roma and Fiorentina. Much better. Still if you have both channels, you get a decent number of around 5 Serie A games, half of the total number of matches per matchday. Take your pick.
:coffee:
FSC has contracts with some of the crappy teams, I think. Last year it was Cagliari who they showed every week. This year its the ones you mentioned.
But the good thing is they usually show Milan CL matches the next day or in several days, and also they show Milan Classics, which I love. Seeing San Paolo in action before I was even born :proud: Milan Magazine is a pretty good show, I love those long interviews.
Milan is far, never been there and I like how the Milan Weekly show gives me an idea where the players are and what they do. For me it’s a plus aside from watching matches, looking at pictures and reading websites. :D
Don’t forget!
