Sorry Mods, if a thread has already been opened, but when I looked, I didnt see one. :D
While a lot of people are still bemoaning the recent UCL draw, I chose instead to look forward to Sunday´s game vs Palermo. (Keeping it positive..since some here view me as Mr Negativo El Numero Uno :de3: )
This will be a tough one, and even with Sheva back, he may well be rested by a cautious Carlo, and Gila paired with one of the 2 ancient wonders of the world still plying their trade. Since Pippo isnt yet match fit for the full 90) we may see Gila and wait for it...wait...eeeeediat Vieri in the forward line. :cry:
I see Seedorf getting a rest, with Serghino/Marek taking his place, though Marek in truth, is also not match fit for a full 90, so the Brazilian gets the nod for me.
A tricky tie, but one we should win, though I would be pleasantly surprised if we manage a clean sheet...speaking of which..I wonder if Carlo will opt to rest Maldini? Which begs the immediate question as to who would replace him.
If he decides to give Marek the full 90, we may see Kaladze fill in for San Paolo, while Marek slots in at LB...

Milan should win this game again although it is a tough one as we drew 2 times against them last season and they are a uefa cup type of team with a decent coach but as always MILAN MUST WIN
Gila and Vieri will probably start, and ten pippo will come in ( for vieri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ). Maldini could get a rest so maybe kaladze can play as a CB or even Simic, but Palermo is a very good team so we need to be very carefull. Maybe Marek can play as a LB and serginho on seedorf's place. erm i think you should kind off forget about the juventus game matey if we dont concentrate on our games know then juve will move more further away in distance so we must win and concentrate on these teams like palermo and empoli then juve

i think we should put Vieri on until he gets INJURED :D joking aside, we should rest maldini and kaka, and maybe even Seedorf who is in great form at the moment. Where is Ambrosini? He could be very useful in this upcoming week. I really hope to see Gilardino on for 90 minutes. I hope Sheva is given a rest, and maybe Rui can play for 60 minutes. We also need to see of Simic can be relied on, but seeing Kaladze and Simic together at the back worries me alot, I honestly think Ancelotti will rest Cafu and give Stam the RB role, while I think we really should play with our best lineup vs. Palermo, then maybe rest the important ones for the Empoli game, to have them prepared vs. Juve

I think we will lose or draw this game. I've not been particularly impressed with Milan very much at all this season. There have been some brilliant displays of footballing from this team but not enough IMO to win anything at all. I'd be more than happy to be wrong in my assesment though!

I think Empoli are a weaker team than Palermo, so the resting of Seedorf and Maldini can wait till midweek. I hope to see Jankulovski play a bit, maybe a whole half and Pippo should get some playing time aswell.
I agree that Pirlo should be given more playing time to get his form back. After all, the milan team is built around him, so he should be there.

I think it is fair to criticize the team when it's performing below par.
This is the 9th goal the team has conceeded in 11 matches so far this season, which is far too much. We are having serious defensive problems, and I think the reason is that the club didn't bring in any new defenders this summer.
When attacking we are far too reliant on Sheva. Pippo has just returned from injury, and we can't expect him to be at his best yet. Gila needs time still, he is young. But Vieri was the worst ****ing signing that Milan have made in years. Completely ****ing useless.
However, my point is that except Sheva, we have a guy who's been injured for the past two seasons, a player who has yet to prove that he is good enough to be a regular in the starting line-up, and an old has-been who we can expect two goals from this season. We SHOULD have another world class striker, but we don't.
I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being realistic.
Of course I'm still supporting the team though, so I think we'll beat Palermo today!!

what a sigh of relief guys!!! offfff im so happy we took the 3 points, as this was our worst performance IN A LONG TIME!!!
Gattuso will never ever even dream to score a BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL goal like that.. it was so beautiful.. just a little note, it was on his left foot as well! What a great goal by him!
But overall, we were very disappointing, and ESPECIALLY, ESPECIALLY kaka, who wasted so many chances, and especially the one in injury time.. Ancelotti seemed very very very pissed with Kaka because he did not pass it to Pippo or Vieri..
Nice to see Pippo finding form.. he's improving game after game.. Vieri had a nice shot as soon as he came on, then had a string of bad touches to the passes he got.. still nothing positive from Vieri unfortunately :(..
I hope all those Seedorf doubters now understand how important Seedorf is. As soon as he started playing, we started playing a bit better, and Seedorf played real good, he made all the fans go "ALLLEEEEE ALLEEEE.. ALLE ALLE SEEDORF!!!"..
anyway, i hope we never ever play a game like this ever, i sweared so much, my blood pressure is so high..i was really pissed that we were soooooo careless when we lost the ball.. btw, MALDINI was amazing today ;)
and also: we do need a new right-back that can attack often to give Cafu a rest from time to time..
