Question towards Italians (movierelated)

[Iggy]

hello, im just curious if the common italian knows who Dario Argento or Mario Bava is, im a huge moviefan and a great admirer of these great directors and i believe Argento was quite known in the 70s with his giallo's.

Just wanna see if the average italian knows who they are :)

of course
Argento is a great, too bad his last movies starting from the 90 are very bad.
Profondo rosso (deep red) is a classic and the soundtrack from Goblins (the same of the few tunes in The Exorcist) have scared the hell out of me when i was a child

Mario Bava- i don't know, maybe i've watched something but i don't know

I heard about Bava, I know he always searches for doing something new.
Anyway I don't like horror movies.
