MILANELLO - Alessandro Costacurta spoke about his future during an afternoon press conference: ‘I think I should stop, but I could change my mind if the club asks me again like they did this year. I put the club before everything, I’ll stay here and help out as long as I’m needed. I don’t know what help I can give, but if I can fool them, good for me. A few years back there was some worry about my retirment, but knowing the club I can guarantee that it is a great group. There are many players that have grown on a personal level as well and not only the Italians, there are guys like Ricky and Dida.’
VIERI AND GILARDINO: ‘In the last two games, there was one goal and one good performance in Empoli for Bobo. He was a little toned down in Eindhoven, just like the rest of the team. I don’t think we are in the crisis that people talk about. Even players like Inzaghi or Sheva might not be in Sunday’s lineup because Milan is such a powerhouse. I like to play with Vieri. He really helped in Empoli, with his effort and his header. In regards to Gila, I believe it’s hard enough to enter into a group with the competition of so many champions. He is a very good guy, he has scored many goals in the past and he will be with Milan with the next ten years.’
You see that's what I have been telling u all along, Vieri is the STAR, IN THE PRESENT. Gila he may be the FUTURE star someday down the road, maybe in 5 or 10 years he can be as good as Vieri. I am glad Billy answered all you Vieri bashers with the wisdom and dignity that I came to expect from him.
Long live Costacurta, may you stay in MIlan forever!!! :v408:
