I'm sick and tried of his constant lies, it goes way back and is embarrassing for the club. "Zaccheroni will never be sacked" - he's sacked. "Our transfer campaign is over." Weeks later Milan sign Gilardino and most recently of course he claimed Vieri wasn't for sale and he's sold and that we won't be signing any defenders when Berlusconi said the exact opposite.

but it's all part of the strategy... that saved us a few million euro when getting Gila...

don't agitate the waters too much before you fish... get it?

plus, we got Carletto, we got Gila, and Vieri is finally gone... all good news...

The whole thing is a mind game. Every club plays it.

It's like poker. Don't smile when you have a great hand and don't frown when you have a crappy one.

He's just doing his job.

Personally, I don't care what he says as long as Milan is winning.

I agree with Tardissun.

There's a difference between playing games and flat out lying and making yourself look like an idiot. No wonder Galliani is portrayed as a fool by the Italian media and why they always go to Berlusconi for a second opinion (when they get the chance). Inter and Juve may or may not acknowledge interest in a player but they don't tell the press they have NO interest only to sign him a few minutes later.

Galliani in fact behaves sometimes very annoyingly.

As long we were winning Galliani's behaviour didn't matter to me, but since we began to lost our way...

Mehdi, I completely understand your feeling, but I think you exagerate a bit. What if Galliani always would say the truth? Do you think that would be good for Milan? Not at all!!! Milan is an important team in Italy, Europe and the world....so, that means that the Italian and iternational press writes and says a lot about the team. What if Galliani would say: 'we'll buy a player soon'? There would be an extra edition in every newspaper to guess who that player will be. And I don't think that the team wants that.
It's not a bad case that Galliani is like that. I know, sometimes it's a bit frustrating, but after all, every team does it.

Galliani (when last I checked) doesnt owe me any money, so I really dont care if he lies...its all part of football anyway...and I am quite used to it actually.

He does what he does, for the good of the club, and therefore I see nothing wrong with some misinformation every now and again...its called propaganda, and as all countries with a war history can agree: It usually works...

Every season, Milan prepares for War...a battle with other teams, both in Europe and domestically...therefore, we need to have our reinforcements, ensure that our supply lines are intact (sponsors and Berlu´s pockets), that our troops are ready, our general has outined his strategy and tactics, and that our propaganda machine is in full swing.

This is a war gentlemen, and the victors write the history.

A war is one way to look at it, another way to look at it, as I often do, is to think of it as one big game. :rocky:

Owners and GMs are trying to out-wit the opponents, keep them guessing as to who will be acquired, who will leave, what coach will get sacked and when. And if you look at it a little more on the inside, Galliani and Braida cannot...or should I say do not...go around giving away clues as to what they're working on. An old story from right before we signed Rui Costa, but on one visit to Via Turatti to see Angelo, he introduced me to Braida, said something to him in Italian about Rui Costa and when Braida merely said the word "maybe" to me, the next thing I knew, Angelo was reminding me not to say a word to anyone about it. Call it a game, call it war, these guys have to play every move very carefully.

Well if he came out in the media and said exactly what he wanted 2 things would happen; other teams would start looking at the players they like, and the teams that own them would hold Milan to ransom knowing that they want the player. What Galliani does is necessary.

I don't care what he says ...as long as my milan keep trying to maintain their stature as the best...then i don;t care what he says

i remember sometimes a club say or denied that they will be buy a player especially big signing. But in the end they will still buy.even a coach like capello before he go to Juve from Roma.He say he will never go and inthe end he went.Same as player and managent. They say will not buy nut i still believe milan will at least buy a defender this January.Believe me

Part of the reason why the Fossa Del Leoni are defunct is because of him. He ripped them off of season tickets and they all got pissed off at him

Some people have said things here that I both agree and disagree with, so let me just put in what I want to say.

Yes, Galliani may lie, but so what? So he said that the Milan were done with transfers and then they get Gila. So what? Football ownership and management is like politics, you have to lie. Galliani can't just tell everyone who they want to buy, or if Milan are scouting some promising young talent. Other teams may also get interested and may also get in the mix. You have to be as secretive as possible to not divulge information. Warro is right, this is a bit like a war from the perspective of intelligence and propoganda. Galliani can't say anything to possibly alert the enemy of what is going on at Milan.

However, I am no fan of Galliani for different reasons. I do not really approve of his transfer policies, but I will not get into that here, as there are different threads for that. But lying is just an essential part of politics, and football is politics, as I have already said.

Well, Galliani is not the nicest person, same as Berlusconi (people in Italy dont like Berlusconi). But I think what he does he does for Milan's benefits. Although I also think that it is better to say nothing than to say obvious lies. But thats my opinion.

Some of you folks should be very careful about using accusations such as saying this so and so is a "LIAR". There is no logical or common sense basis to such a conclusion. None of us is in the correct or special position to call anyone in the corporate office in Milan that! Why do some choose the most ignorant conclusion when there are infinite other reasons possible? It just kind of shows the shortsightedness and lack of maturity some people possess in themselves when things dont go right in the season.

what do you expect him to say?

"yes we are total rubbish this year" ?
or " many players will definitely be sacked at the end of the year"?

it's obvious he says that to keep a good image of the club..we are linked with sponsor , can't make a monkey our of our image with polemics and Interish amateurish statements.

He works in the shadows, obviously won't tell you until the job is done.
