(Did i say very?)
Hello to all that are here, some time, i had many months to write anything, as i am very disappointed with our team and mainly with our policy...
I ask you, fellow friends,
Is this the milan we want, we passioned with, we cryed, we yelled, we loved ??
For me its is not, its another team, not our beloved Milan.
Where to start?
Our transfer policy the last years, is like noone is thinking out there. We managed to have a very very old team, and noone is thinking how this will change...Is it ok to have a team full of 30 and above players? No ppl is not, dont try and make it like it is
We took ok Gila, but i think it was just "some water" on the desert !!
Dont understand, why we must take only the players which are free. We dont have money? From what i know, Silvio is equal rich to mister Russian Star president of Chelsea. Where is the diffuculty to reinforce our team with the best of them?
Is it right, for a player of the history of Costacurta, to still rely on him, on that age? We have in our defence, a lot of players that its CLEAR that they cant do anymore...they are dead, they are finished.
Is Simic a quality of Milan??? Is Kaladje? Is (now, no how he was 3 years ago) Stam? Even our big capitano, Maldini is very tired...how long we will rely on him? Why in the hell, we dont invest in these positions? I dont know if the answer is Lugano, but hey, try take 2 or 3, make them play alongside with Maldini, make them learn from him a bit.
Why in the hell, as long we have Kaka and Cafu, we dont invest more in Brazilian market? Take more from there, invest, invest, invest
We make Vieri leave, and what we take? A player that he is in his 32? What is the meaning of this? We didnt had any other players to take? Ok i can accept that, as long u mean that we havent any other players to take FREE. No ppl, free is dead, why not try and capture Tores?
Who, among us, is not envy Juventus for their transfer policy? And dont even start to mention words like "Ok then, go to Juve", as u may not know how long i am around, if u dont, learn.
I am very dissapointed, we dont try and change that...our team plays sh!tty. Very bad...
I saw us today also, we havent managed to win WHO? Roma? Who is Roma? FFS.
And after a very very bad year like we are having, i see our Boldman says that Carlito must stay and he cant leave? WHY MISTER GALLIANI? IS OUR TEAM PLAYING GOOD FOOTBALL?
We need changes in all the aspects of the team. Invest ppl, we are milan for god shake, not Roma, not Inter, not Chelsea, not Man Utd, not Arsenal, not the f****ing Merdes, MILAN...
Anyway, some thoughts....

Last season we lost the CL in a shootout and were close to win the Scudetto too. Were we among the best teams in the world last season. During the summer we got gilardino and jankulovski, both extremely highly rated in Italy, and a decent backup free signing in Vieri. There was nothing wrong with our summer transfer period. If anything, our squad looked too overcrowded before the start of the season.
Is it right, for a player of the history of Costacurta, to still rely on him, on that age? We have in our defence, a lot of players that its CLEAR that they cant do anymore...they are dead, they are finished..
we do not rely on billy, he has hardly played this season...and Stam and Maldini are far from finished. Cafu is still one of the best players in the world, if not the best, on his position.
Is Simic a quality of Milan??? Is Kaladje? Is (now, no how he was 3 years ago) Stam? Even our big capitano, Maldini is very tired...how long we will rely on him? Do you know who we have in defense? Nesta, maldini, stam, Cafu, Kaladze, Jankulovski, Serginho, simic, billy...there are no other team in the world who has as many quality defenders as us. Now Maldini and cafu are out for some matches and suddenly everybody are screaming how we don't have enough defenders...bloody hell, how many defenders do you want on our roster?
Your last line, which seems to suggest that the answer would be to drop Nesta and sign some random youngsters to test with maldini is so idiotic that I'm not even going to comment on that.
Why in the hell, as long we have Kaka and Cafu, we dont invest more in Brazilian market? Take more from there, invest, invest, invest
What...? We have two good Brazilians, so that means the only place to get quality is Brazil? There are not that many Brazilians who can adapt to Italian style.
Who, among us, is not envy Juventus for their transfer policy? And dont even start to mention words like "Ok then, go to Juve", as u may not know how long i am around, if u dont, learn.
Yeah, I must admit that I do envy Juve's transfer policy. They have done great in past two years. Cannavaro and Vieira were both transfers of the season, zlatan and mutu were also steals.
but we have also done some good deals during the recent years...Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Cafu...all these players were signed for free or very small amount of money. right now juve might have an upepr hand on the transfer market but that might change soon. I'm still sure that our management knows what they are doing, they certainly know more about the game than you or me do.

Andy Christ: Why do you think we aren't as good as we used to be then?
Personally, I think we need to replace about half of our squad. Not because they aren't quality players, but because the team spirit took a turn for the worse in Istanbul. It's still there, of course, but the team seems to lack that superb confidence in its own abilities that we are used to seeing, the confidence which made us win practically every big match we played. Bring in new, talented players who are hungry for success. Also, sign some *BIG* names.
I also think it is time to bring in a new coach, with fresh ideas. They say "don't change a winning formula," and as long as we were winning, I wanted Ancelotti to stay. But now we aren't winning anymore, so he needs to leave. I am I'm sorry, but this is a cynical game, and sacrifices have to be made for the good of the club. I am extremely grateful for all the success he has brought us, but Carlo should resign at the end of the season, for the sake of Milan.
Right now, I see Milan fading into mediocrity, and it's hurting my soul.

We managed to go to CL final, after 2 ****tys appearances, against PSV (god shake, against who????) and never convinced for our superior. We played against Liverpool and in one half, we made more mistakes than in all the year.
Why to take Vieri, and dont invest for someone like Tores or even get Cassano...how much he costed for Real? NOTHING
we do not rely on billy, he has hardly played this season...and Stam and Maldini are far from finished. Cafu is still one of the best players in the world, if not the best, on his position.

When u have to play still with billy, then u have problem my friend...Only u say he played, u must understand how wrong are we....
Stam is finished, Maldini is not, because he is the Capitano...but for how long?
Let see what u mentioned.
Jankulovski = Where he is this year?
Nesta = the only one i happy to see him, but he cant make it all himself
Maldini = i commented that
Stam = he is finished, he is history, he cant play again a quick attacker, he cant even turn his body anymore
Cafu = He is not the cafu we knew, he is too old, lets face it
Kaladze = who? Who is that? Is not Milan quality for me...Contra was better of him..a lot of better
Serginho = U must be kidding if u are proud to have him in our defence. He knows how to attack, he doesnt know how to defend...
Simic = Are u joking again? If yes, i laugh too
Billy = Another joke, in what age he must end his career? 45?
What is the superior defence u are reffering to? If we play with a very fast team...WE ARE FINISHED. Who will stop a quick player from the above? I can only say Nesta and Maldini and the last one only because his experience...
Wake up a bit...
What...? We have two good Brazilians, so that means the only place to get quality is Brazil? There are not that many Brazilians who can adapt to Italian style.
U didnt understood me again...South America market, is a very cheap market in compare with Europe. When u have big players from there (and also have Leonardo), u must invest for talents from there. U must bring here first players like Robinho and dont wait for f-u-c-king Merdes to take them...South America Market alongside with South Africa market, is a very hot market that we must invest...
Yeah, I must admit that I do envy Juve's transfer policy. They have done great in past two years. Cannavaro and Vieira were both transfers of the season, zlatan and mutu were also steals.

But the truth still is that we only get free players...so i ask u, why? We dont have the money to make big buys?
Ps
I advise u to dont call other fellow Milanistas as idiots in your posts...i never did, so pleaso follow the same steps...I never suggested what u said. I said that we should try and take some defenders and try put them alongside with our big players and make them learn from them.

That's it, my friend: YES, we're in need of a major reshuffle, in need of talented youngster hungry for win everything they can! I too see our beloved side heading to a conformist state of mind, and that sounds horrible.
Perhaps Billy was right when he said that Carlo will not get through to the players after managing here for a while. Looking at things now and seeing the same mistakes being made every week, you can only fault Carlo. He created a nice open attacking system with the diamond midfield back in 2002 but all clubs now know how to counter us. In the meantime our players have become too complacent or too predictable or too dependent on a few "untouchables". And what has our manager done? Nothing at all. He's played the same tactics and the same players. Quality signings in Jankolovski and Vogel haven't gotten any meaningful minutes. Why? Doesn't Carlo trust these guys?
I guess what I'm trying to say is the transfer market isn't the be-all-end-all solution to our problems. We need a grandmaster chess player who can put all the pieces in place and at the right time, if you can catch my drift.

There's alot I wish to say but i know it will not change Milan's performances 1 bit :( All i can do is just hope tthat the Milan board finally see that what we are doing right now isnt exactly working.
Galliani keeps saying that we have the same points that we had this stage last season, as an excuse for our lost points. Doesnt he see that Juventus were not flying last season as how they are now? Does he think if we continue to play like how we did last year, the Scudetto will automatically come to us? When will he realise that every year is a new season with different problems. This is one where our defense is not like how it was a year ago. This is one where our consistency is not like how it was a year ago. The only similar things I see is that the coach still makes the same mistakes - firstly putting the wrong mentality into the players either before a game or during the game, secondly- not making full use of the squad he has and always selecting the same starting 11 and simply ignores those who are on top form (such as Rui Costa and Pippo yesterday)
yeah i think carlo has not being creative at all in the last 2 season
our gameplay is to predicteble. we must our change attitude in the gameplay
they play to lazy its not just gattuso or pirlo that play badly
seedorf to he just lazy to go for the ball when kaka give him a pass why the hell he not running just standing there like a doll. and galliani to is he to old to think that our defence is lacking in speed.
ps : sorry for the poor english
i have to admit that we need big changes, i always stood by all the team members but enough is enough... i have several questions that id love to be answered
1. where the fcuk is the motivation? why is it that juve who are champions and have the exact same busy schedual play with a winning mentality every second of every game while we play as if were training in the backyard?
2. where the **** is jankulovski? obviously serginho was piss poor yesterday and the attack needed some quality crossing, and there are few better than janku at doing this!
3. where the **** is cafu??? ... whre the hell is he?? cafu by far is the most important player we have, without him, the team loses 50% of its danger, and as hard as stam is trying to do what cafu did, cafu can only be replaced by a true RB who loves to attack... which brings me to the next question
4. with the market still open... WHY the **** did we still not sign a RB like oddo for a cheap price of 3.5M euros????????
why is it that we love to make ourselves suffer?!!?!?!?!?!?!

Mk18 is dead right: Stam cannot play as a RB, so we MUST purchase a player for that position, it's an imperative need!

im agree with this thread, i am very disapointed right now, about the same as i was watching the champ league final.....i read something on goal.com that i thought was interesting, i really think the recruiting staff at Milan are a complete joke..... In the early 90s Milan got alot of the best players in the world, Boban, Massaro, Savicevic, Van Basten and we seemed to have alot of great players from the youth system. Albertini and Maldini come to mind.
What has happened? we havent had a decent player from our youth system in a long time. The main reason we lost the champ league and the league was because of defense errors, and the players getting on. I just cant believe the staff cannot see this, we are going to have problems over the summer. We need at least 4 quality CB Defenders, and we are going to be competing with Juve and Inter for Barzagli and Chivu, and frankly i dont think we have a chance...... we still need more left and right backs as serghino and cafu are getting on..... so who is to blame? Galliani, Ancelloti? or Belusconi for not being involved enough in the team?
I disagree with people here, i think trying to put too many Brasilians in the squad is a very bad idea, Milan will do better by having Italian players, it will be better for us in the long run. It looks better for a Italian team to be 70% Milan players, than a Milan side like Inter with only 1 italian player....

i agree we need some younger fresh blood our team is becoming slower as the seasons pass we need to offload some people taking someone else valuble place such as vieri (but hes gone now) we need a new defence and goalkeeper because lets face it Dida has played better and cafu and Stam are letting us down. yes we can attack but we cant win games by attacking we need to defend sometime and i hope we can do better in the champions league than in serie A because we will be the laughng stock of serie A if we dont do well in the cahmpions league. thats all i have to say but i would like to know if you agree with me and it hurts because i love milan so much.
i dont care if the players we get are young or old... we just need the right players... i dont care if oddo was 10000 years old .. but i think hes the right man for the job and we should get him... 2 years ago we were still considered an old squad but no one thought were second best to anybody, juves case is the exact same, theyre not young, but they have the perfect players for each position. I saw some of juves last match vs reggina and i think the new LB is a hot prospect, balzaratti or something.. usually i couldnt care less if we dont have youth players but i was thinking, why are there so much more risks when we try to play a youngster while every now and then juve play some guy from their youth and still have the same strong squad??? another question, were suffering badly on the RB side... why havent we tried to play marzoratti (sp?) there??? ... i backed up the coach alot, and i still love him, but sometimes i think hes too afraid to try something new... and as much as i like carlo i think its only right that he leaves next season ... i hope we have the same reform the way we did when we got seedorf, nesta... etc but id rather have carlo one more season than to have a coach whos very attacking minded... its defence first, then attack!

Wat a big dissapointment!!!I do felt dissapointed too as a Milan Fan.12 point is a lots with the league half way.Even Juve lose 4 match we still cant catch team(which is dont think they will)Even Milan win all the balance of the matches....i doubt... But i dont think there is much wrong with our player then the old defender( 3 like maldini, cafu n stam)Every team had a up and down season.Sometimes we need more that an year to recover or sometimes more that 10 years to recover.Just like in england Liverpool. Aftter they domination in england and europe in the 80th they dont will the EPL or CL.only last they and this year they seems to recover.Milan do have among the best player in the world and any of our player even the bench warmer can walk into any team in the world. They is nothing wrong Milan getting Vieri on free transfer. He is still among the best in the world when he first start joining Milan.I still sure he can success in France...Saying to get a player do seems well BUT THIS IS NOT CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER!!!!!!!! ok so wat u wanna do if Milan get TORRESS and CASSANO??? There will be more problem as everyone want become first 11..Player wil be unhappy and request for transfer. Or u want put SHEVA or Toress on bench and Play Gila and CASSANo or the way round in every match??? This werent an easy decision. We need to have a player that can affort to play less without complain like Simic, kalazhe,Rui costa and the late tomasson!!!!Maybe solution now is pay more attention on the Italian Cup and champion league!!!!!!! i not saying that we will win( with the defence and of our form now) but go as far as we can!!!!! There sill miracle in football as there always will !!! i still hope in MIlan !!!!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgive me, but not anymore....I am not milan fanatic, i love football at overall, and i dont see that anymore...We dont have the best team like we did on 90s, i can tell u many teams, that if we play them, we will have problems...serious problems
I disagree again...First of all, stop all the fans the crap with CM. Every time someone start discussing about transfers, u say (i dont mean u personally, generally speaking) the same thing !!
We KNOW its not CM (lol, its FM nowdays, as CM is crap), we dont live in our pcs!!
There is a problem when your team staff always looking for players like Vieri or Amoroso (ok dont know how he will play, maybe score for us 30 goals per season, just commenting my first thoughts of the transfer), as it shows they dont think for the future. What is the point to sign a 31 - 34 years OLD player? I dont think that getting Cassano or even better, Torres (as Cassano is not an option anymore) could bring problems like u mentioned. Sheva is a legend, i want him inside our game, even if he is not score for 30 games on the raw. Gila on the other hand, is another attacker, we will see him, in many seasons first, looks promising though. I need more like him. PROMISING. And if they are cost some serious money, i need to see my team, manage to get them. We are MILAN. Not some ****ty small english team, spanish team, german team, frence team....MILAN. If u are suggesting we dont have the money, them maybe i had lost my memory and the last 15 years Don Silvio is not becoming richer every day...
We need to have a player that can affort to play less without complain like Simic, kalazhe,Rui costa and the late tomasson!!!!
No we dont, as they are not (Rui is for me, but he is too old also) Milan Quality anymore...
Simic was a promising Croatian defender, that maybe could evolve to something special...guess what....HE DIDNT!!
Kalazhe on the other hand, came as another "Sheva Project". I cant see in what he is capable, is he fast enough to play on this position? Is the one u say when the game starts, that ok we are good enough on this side? I dont, maybe we differ on this.
I need to see my team gain its speed again, and to clear some things, never suggested that we should buy Brazilian only players. I said, that as long we have connections with Kaka, Leo or Cafu (Legendary players the 2 last), we must "capture" all the big talents from south America first. Not leave them go to ****ty La Liga, Portugal and Spain. Also i said to invest on South Africa, there are many good talents. I agree also, that we have to stick with the Italians. Milan is an Italian team, so the more of them, the better.
Anyway, its nice to see that other ppl are dissapointed as well, i was started to think that i had a problem in my brain, and the others are like the boldman, that he is saying that as long we have the same points as last year, we are doing fine, and Carlito is sucessfull
PS
And yes, i agree that we need another Coach. Carlito Era has came to end, although i am kind of skeptical of who the next will be (the most common answer could be Van Basten) but the coach himself, without a good transfer policy, is useless...Raikard in Barca is doing well, because he also took the players he wanted...Not only because he knows about football
(Barca, Real, Chelsea, Inter, Juventus, Lion, Bayern and much more...See what players the took the last years, how the invest their money. I have read some weeks ago, in a big financial newspaper here in Greece, that Silvio's money is equal to Abramovic money. So where he is? Damn, cant believe it...pissed)

Or seeing The best player like them as our Sub player sitting warming the chair??But it seems like a football fantasy...seems like ppl playing FM (if not CM) .after all I cant see that really happen in real life (maybe Chelsea almost there)

I agree Milan would need to invest more..Everytimes when there is a new hot young football star Milan do not seriously get them. ( Maybe like Cicinho as an example) I do think that there future is important as wat Madrid is now start doing after wat happen to them in last few years. Not just invest but play them and give them the opportunitie..Star player were discovered when they were given the opprtunities.(Maybe like forlan last year after many years with MU.No one think that he will be so good.Or maybe like Henry after before and after he move to Arsenal from Juve) Few high rated youngster were discovered when they been given change after the main player get injured. Will a player be a better player if they only be bought at a high price and placed at the bench and waiting for the other to get injured?? dont think a wise management will be buying a star all at a high price and put them in in bench. If can , i even wan Milan to buy players like madrid or chelsea. But without result it useless. They role of the bench sitter can anly be given to the older player or the less capable( i mean if compare to the first 11 stars)
Chelsea do having problem with all their star players . ( As this is my opinin)
I need to see my team gain its speed again, and to clear some things, never suggested that we should buy Brazilian only players. I said, that as long we have connections with Kaka, Leo or Cafu (Legendary players the 2 last), we must "capture" all the big talents from south America first. Milan is an Italian team, so the more of them, the better.
This one i 100 % agree with you. I do prefer Italy player too to play for milan. Even better if they come from Milan youth academy just like Albertini. But as long they player good football and Milan win, that fine
Yup... New fresh idea need to brough in and a head coach need to be given more power in decision making so that his plan can be done or carried out.( after all Silvio is not a football himself.SO better let ppl who played the games make the decision)
(Barca, Real, Chelsea, Inter, Juventus, Lion, Bayern and much more...See what players the took the last years, how the invest their money. Milan best buy for the last few year will only be kaka and Gila( where stam and cafu is the short term replacement). While club like Arsenal and madrid expecially invest deeply on youngster.Daraso,Vieri,Janku(not proven worth with his price tag),Kalac, Vogel were not a big investment after all.
All the above is only my opinion that i want to share with all those of you that having the same interest with choosing MIlan as supported club....We all want Milan to be the best club in the world that not only to be mention because of their past but also their success for future(winning at least a trophy every year). :pr115:

what!? Dhorasoo was in no way poor for Milan, but rarely had his chances. When he did play he also often added to the team.
Its unfortunate that he wished to go back to Paris, he was a good squad player

I don't understand how you can say that Dhorasoo is garbage. I really think he is a quality player. He just didn't get so many playing opportunities with Milan last year. But I've seen him playing a couple of times and I've never thought he played bad!
Dhorasoo is a great player i really wanted for him to stay with us for a long time but he wanted to leave so we let him go.
He didn't play much for us but when he did he gave his best, so don't say he's garbage when you haven't seen him play

Dhorasoo was an amazing sub player, to me he was 10x better than Gattuso in his position.. he won the ball almost as much as he did, and his skill was like Pirlo's and Rui's, and his vision was great too.. shame he had to leave..and shame that we have supporters that dont appreciate him..

you are joking my friend surely!!! he was on the bench at milan but for france in the mean time and got 2 mom awards!! everybody keeps going on buy him buy them look at s.amercian market. my question is what about are youth devolpment!!! surely we must have some youngsters coming through and please don't mention waiting for maldini jr. any football club particulaly a club like us must attract youth. so therefore with are coaching staff must be able to enhance and devolp this players skills. throwing money at problems isn't usually a solution. yes we are one of the biggest clubs in the world and should be able to buy the best players but lets not forget the youth they are and will always be the future. lets stick together and once again we will get were we belong.FORZA MILAN

I dont have a view for dhorasso myself
And what about Tomasson? Maybe many people will say that I'm wrong, but I still think Jon-Dahl scored some important goals for us!!!
1. Is this the milan we want, we passioned with, we cryed, we yelled, we loved ??
2. For me its is not, its another team, not our beloved Milan.
3. Our transfer policy the last years, is like noone is thinking out there. We managed to have a very very old team, and noone is thinking how this will change...
4. Is it ok to have a team full of 30 and above players? No ppl is not, dont try and make it like it is
5. We took ok Gila, but i think it was just "some water" on the desert !!
6. Dont understand, why we must take only the players which are free.
7. We dont have money? From what i know, Silvio is equal rich to mister Russian Star president of Chelsea. Where is the diffuculty to reinforce our team with the best of them?
8. Is it right, for a player of the history of Costacurta, to still rely on him, on that age? We have in our defence, a lot of players that its CLEAR that they cant do anymore...they are dead, they are finished.
9. Is Simic a quality of Milan??? Is Kaladje? Is (now, no how he was 3 years ago) Stam?
10. Even our big capitano, Maldini is very tired...how long we will rely on him? Why in the hell, we dont invest in these positions? I dont know if the answer is Lugano, but hey, try take 2 or 3, make them play alongside with Maldini, make them learn from him a bit.
11. Why in the hell, as long we have Kaka and Cafu, we dont invest more in Brazilian market? Take more from there, invest, invest, invest
12. We make Vieri leave, and what we take? A player that he is in his 32? What is the meaning of this? We didnt had any other players to take? Ok i can accept that, as long u mean that we havent any other players to take FREE. No ppl, free is dead, why not try and capture Tores?
13. Who, among us, is not envy Juventus for their transfer policy? And dont even start to mention words like "Ok then, go to Juve", as u may not know how long i am around, if u dont, learn.
14. I am very dissapointed, we dont try and change that...our team plays sh!tty. Very bad...
15. I saw us today also, we havent managed to win WHO? Roma? Who is Roma? FFS.
16. And after a very very bad year like we are having, i see our Boldman says that Carlito must stay and he cant leave? WHY MISTER GALLIANI? IS OUR TEAM PLAYING GOOD FOOTBALL?
17. We need changes in all the aspects of the team. Invest ppl, we are milan for god shake, not Roma, not Inter, not Chelsea, not Man Utd, not Arsenal, not the f***ing Merdes, MILAN...
1. It is the same Milan. The Milan that amazed us in -92/93, played a wonderful final in -94, Was horrible in -96, took a surprise scrappy scudetto in -98, then where horrible again by -00 and then glorious again under ancelotti.
2. That must be because you have some fantasy dream of a team that wins all the time.
3. Nonsense. They are thinking it trough well, have far more ability than you ever would give credit for. Kaka for instance was one of the biggest steals ever. There are transfer that end good and some that end bad. Quite natural and perfectly normal. It is clear we will need some new defenders, none disagree there, but only when they are of the quality needed.
4. Don't lie. In our starting 11 we have three players over 30 one of them the keeper. Maldini, 'right back and Dida. Now explain how that is a team full of over 30 players... With Serginho and Inzaghi in the team we would have more, but that is not preffered starting 11 now.
5. What do you want really? In Gila we got a striker for 10 years forward. Someone that is a benefit for the team directly, just what we need with fans like you. Like Kaka. These transfers mean we have reinvested in the striker area and playmaker. Next step would need to be defense, anyone sensible would know we can't invest in all parts in one season.
6. We don't. stop lying.
7. Its about sensible use of money. In the late 80s we bought Marco Van Basten for 1 million, then a record transfer. Nowadays you need fees 10 to 50 times that. Our team is on the worlds second highest wage bill AFAIK.
8. What in heavens name made you think we rely on Costacurta?
9. They are all quality players. Kaladze certainly one of the best defensive fullbacks around, able to neutralise anyone.
10. Maldini will stay this season and possibly one more. He doesn't look tired, nonsense, he is so good which is the problem. there are not many of his quality around, so finding a replacement is not exactly easy.
11. You don't mean "as long as we have Dida, Kaka, Cafu and Serginho"? What you say are otherwise in no way constructive. Leonardo works with getting on deals with Brazilians anyway, like Kaka...
12. You don't invest multimillion fees for a fourth choice striker. Someone like Torres would be the replacement for Inzaghi in terms of use and wages. If anything you could put some valid critisizm as to why we didn't go for a young talent here. The normal reason for that would be that we are forced to have players that can step in directly to satisfy fans demanding instant wins and succes.
13. Juve always had a solid transfer policy, if not spectatcular. Not surprsing they employ Capello, "solid, but not spectactular" is what he is. You may not have discovered it, but I would suggest you check the age of their central defense.
14. Really? We mostly play good, some few bad performances though.
15. If you don't know who Roma is and such then maybe you shouldn't post here altogether.
16. How in heavens name is the the year very very bad? Get real.
17. had you been sensible you would not have said that. simple as.

Well im new here so first i say hello to all u milan fans.
I like this team alot, only team in the world that i like,i am a fan since i was 10,i got the "milan madness" from my father,i guess he would love if i would play fotball 2,but i only like to wach not to play, guess he would have loved if i was a boy:)) anyway...i wanted to say that im quite disapointed in milan this days, there only half of the team that i loved to see.
There losing againt much more inferior teams, for start our defeat in the cl final last year.Wee lost that cause half of the team can`t play 90 minutes any more, corect me if im rong:but if maldini, costacurta(well that one dosent even play any more,he`s just part of the team),cafu, stam, mostly the defence, are on the pitch for 90 minutes it dosent mean that they play them all,u can clearly see afther the first half that our game play gets worse and worse.
Im not sayng change players every year like real or chealse do,but change them at least once in a while, the defence is just to old to play the footbal that is expected from milan,or at least what i whant from them.
This is the changes i want in milan, and i think there for the best, althought probably most of u say that im not right:
Anceloti needs to be change, his good, but not good for milan:he leave jankulovsky(i dont know how to spell his name righ) on the bench?thats very stupid, gatuso has no place in the team, his only talent is running like mad man,but tehnique of gatusso is equal to zero, why dident he use thomason?he was a great player, that one to dident get oportunitis to play. Why did he bring amoruso?amoruso was a great player his not any more his past 30 years old,why does he bring old players, old players are not good for a team.
I say keep:DIDA, Marek JANKULOVSKI,Alessandro NESTA,kaka,pirlo,rui costa,vogel,seedorf(sedorf and rui costa only 2 more season max),inzaghi,sheva,gila.
So in the atack i would say were fine.In the midle i would bring to more young players. And for defence at least 4 more.As for goal keapers were fine.Well thats about it :)

17. had you been sensible you would not have said that. simple as.
1 - 2. Your opinion, for me is not the same one..I cant understand why u make it personal Kris...Its not the Milan i used to see, with the full attacking spirit and good defenders at the back...we have changed to something else.
3. It seems the Boldman is not agree with you Kris, as he thinks we dont need any more defenders. Our transfer policy sucks (is it ok that word Warro?) the last years, with only us getting players with free transfers. Kaka was evolved to something good, was more a bet to me, than a good transfer steal.
4.Our team the last 3 games:
Vs Roma: Dida (32 years old); Stam (33 years old), Nesta (30 years old), Kaladze, Serginho (33 years old); Kakà, Gattuso (Ambrosini 65), Pirlo (Rui Costa 80 (33 years old)), Seedorf; Shevchenko, Gilardino (Inzaghi 82 (32 years old) - Overall: 6 players
Vs Siena: Dida (32 years old); Stam (33 years old) (Simic (31 years old)), Nesta (30 years old), Kaladze, Serginho (33 years old); Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf; Kakà (Jankulovski 87); Shevchenko, Inzaghi (32 years old) (Gilardino 76) - Overall: 6 players
Vs Ascoli: Dida (32 years old); Simic (31 years old), Stam (33 years old), Nesta (30 years old), Jankulovski (Serginho 82); Rui Costa (33 years old), Ambrosini (Gattuso 42), Pirlo, Seedorf (Kaka 65); Inzaghi (32 years old), Gilardino - Overalll: 6 players
Conclusion: Very old players on the defence (the oldest in Europe) when the football need fresh quick legs, not an efficient backup in the midfield for Kaka or Pirlo and a 2 players attack only (Gila - Shev) and need for a new one in the future
So Kris, if i lied before as u mentioned, u make it something more serious...you lie to yourself...
5. "just what we need with fans like you" = What was the meaning of a comment like that? I dont undestand why to invest in players like Vieri or Amoroso, what is the so difficult for u to understand?
6. We do, stop lie to yourself
7. I cant agree on that...When u say sensible use of money, it means also a sensible use of transfers...I dont see a sensible way to that...What is the logic to buy players like Vieri or Amoroso and not invest again with someone like Torres? Dont invest in young italian players like Juve do....why not?
8. When Costacurta still plays in our team, and in periods we are not 10 points ahead of the others and just trying to rest our main team, it seems to me that we rely on him...we dont have an alternative choice and we field him!!!
9. So Simic is a quality player? Ok i had heared jokes lately, but it seems we found new ones. What are his qualities to be more specific? His speed? His good positioning? His mentality? He head ability? His adaptability? What is tell me...
As far for Kaladje...lets name some players he cant stop: Henry, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Ibra, Eto, ....What is his qualities again? Lets start again like Simic...His speed? His good positioning? His mentality? He head ability? His adaptability?
10. I agree, its a very strange position and for this we must invest. We must capture some good players from now not from when Maldini will be more older. Take them now, make them play with Maldini a bit, transfer them his thoughts, his play...
11. So why big talents not only from Brazil, but generally from South America, preffers other teams than Milan? ...
12. So Torres cant satisfy the fans?? Dont stick on names, i meant in general more young players, not invest to someone who is after his 33.
13. I did, lets see it together, shall we?
Milan:
Paolo MALDINI - 38 years old
CAFU - 36 years old
Alessandro COSTACURTA - 40 years old
Marek JANKULOVSKI - 29 years old
Kakha KALADZE - 28 years old
Alessandro NESTA - 30 years old
Dario SIMIC - 31 years old
Jaap STAM - 34 years old
Overall 6 from 8 players are above 30.
Juve:
Paolo Montero - 35 years old, hardly plays i think anymore
Federico Balzaretti - 25 years old
Alessandro Birindelli - 32 years old
Fabio Cannavaro - 33 years old
Giorgio Chiellini - 22 years old
Robert Kovac - 32 years old
Gianluca Pessotto - 36 years old
Lilian Thuram - 34 years old
Gianluca Zambrotta - 29 years old
Jonathan Zebina - 28 years old
6 from 10 players are above 30.
What is the result on this?
That although it seems that we are close in the numbers...we arent
Juve plays with Zambrotta, Thuram, Cannavaro, Balzaretti more often, that the 2 of them are below 30 and as a result more quick players. We on the contrary we play with slow players on the back, rely mostly on the experience of the players, that is not working with strong european teams anymore...
Anyway, is not the place to make a more technical approach, just to see the numbers.
14. What was the game u enjoyed lastly from us?
15. Roma is not same as Milan if that u are meaning...Its not even near to Milan....If it wasnt Toti there, maybe we wont discussing for them years now... If u have another opinion, share it plz and leave comments like the ones u did...
16. We lost Serie A for 70% (only a miracle can change that)and we play bad football (maybe u see another matches...) and dont convince that we can get past Bayern at Europe...
17. If u had something to say, to could say it...U just say nothing and try to convince...guess smth mate...u dont :hihihi:

18. So Tomasson wasnt Dutch league 1st scorer? :rollani:
@ Warro Bantan -> I was trying to find the right words to express my dissapointment. If i offend u or other Milanistas, i am deeply sorry
:djn:
I'm not following you guys argument but this answer may not be a valid one.
Becaues you mentioned it, it's the Dutch league. Dutch, dude. Dutch.
I'm not saying Dutch league is inferior, but it is different from the Italian league. The word critical here is different. To make it more obvious, I bold the word different here.
You can count many examples of players being very successful at one country while fail at another country.
And, I'm not saying tomasson is bad. He is good, but TO BE HONEST, do you think he is as good as Sheva or Gila or Inzaghi? If your answer is YES, ok, argument closes because it's a matter of our opinion of players.
If your answer is NO, then tell me on what ground would you play Tomasson ahead of Sheva or Gila? "On the day when Sheva and Gila need a rest", but this is a hindsight statement. The logic is like this: players are tired when they do not score. BUT, you never know whether they will score or not until they play. So eventually, it comes to 2 propositions:
1) Are the strikers good?
2) Are the strikers tired?
If you agree iwth me that Sheva > Gila > Inzaghi > Tomasson, and your assumption about their tiredness is based solely on their performane on the pitch, then there is no reason why you don't play sheva and gila always.
To counter this argument, one may argue that Milan lab or the coach will know. And here you go, the coaches will know. How the hell can we know if Inzaghi is more fit than Gila from a fan's point of view?

Hello people ... That's my first post
I have to say that i agree with Lancelot
2. That must be because you have some fantasy dream of a team that wins all the time.
Why should Juve be 10 point behind Juve?
Why we have beated Juve? We were lucky!? NOO
but how many matches in a row can we win with such a defence?
Nesta is the only who must say in milan's first team... the rest of all are up to 30 and most of the them are going to retire from football...
9. They are all quality players. Kaladze certainly one of the best defensive fullbacks around, able to neutralise anyone.
Are you joking? Kaladze is a good defensive but not for the milan's first team ... he would be good for backup player..
1) Are the strikers good?
2) Are the strikers tired?
you are talking about strikers ...
we signed Vieri ... at the beggining i thought vieri would be very good for backup player but we wasn't.. Fortunately he moved to another team ... and we signed Amoroso?!!? Why??! Amoroso would be better than Vieri ?!?
i think we had signed a young striker like Cassano or Torres... why not ? we didn't have enough money ? :-/
Milan - Sampdoria 1 - 1 ... i am so dissapointed...
I feel so happy and excited when the ball goes to Kaka to Sheva to Gila...
i hope many things will change ...

I certainly have not lost hope as Serie A is known for being so competitive; but ofcourse the fact that Juve r not slowing down and r playing well cannot be ignored. BUT here's a fact for the members who have lost hope:
last time Serie A was not so competitive, and was kind of 'decided' early on, was in 2003, when Juve had such a strong team, and we were struggling in Serie A, and we were in 3rd place behind Juve and Inter. We only managed to beat the big teams in Serie A but were terribly inconsistent and had so many losses. Our problem was the mentality, somewhat like this years. In Europe in that year, the 3 italian teams were all favourites to reach the semi's, and they all did. Unless they face each other, I think that will happen this year as well. Im sure you all remember how our European campaign ended that year :) And that year we did not have as much depth as we did now. Infact, we have the same 11 that started that final. I really can't see why many people do not have much hope that we will win the champions league this yr.
The only worry is that if we face a certain opponent that has triumphed against us in recent years. This certain opponent was the one that knocked us out in the 2004 Champions League, one that we truly were favourites to win and we deserved it. The same opponent also prevented us from winning it last year, and last year, we deserved it more than ever. I hope this year, we will manage to deal with this opponent in the right way. If someone has not figured out who this opponent is yet, it is OURSELVES. We r the biggest opponent to our selves. I am sure that we learnt our mistakes over the last 2 years of giving away leads (unfortunately by the hard way), so I really dont think we will do it again, even if we are 5-0 up.
Let's hope we overcome this tough moment in Serie A soon and find our form and get prepared for the Bayern game. Meanwhile, I really think we should try to win as much games as possible in Serie A, just incase Juve slip up. Forza Milan ;)

Maybe we'll play better when Maldini comes back.
Should we rely on Maldini to win all the matches? He is 38 years old ... He had played so many years for milan but he is too old now... I don't want to say that he must retire ( he will retire when he will believe that he can't play and help his team anymore), he is good but we mustn't rely on him...

Our transfer policy sucks (is it ok that word Warro?) the last years, with only us getting players with free transfers. Kaka was evolved to something good, was more a bet to me, than a good transfer steal.
@ Warro Bantan -> I was trying to find the right words to express my dissapointment. If i offend u or other Milanistas, i am deeply sorry
Lancelot..let me first say that, yes, sucks is an ok word, and I also share your opinion that our transfer policy (or lack thereof) is best described by that word.
Let me also add, that many many Milan fans are just as disappointed as you are, or even more so.
One thing is guaranteed for those who are fanatic supporters of any organisation, whether it be political party, club, or national team, and that is: disappointment. No team, none whatsoever, wins all the time. Even Juve have had trophyless, or almost trophyless seasons. :rollani:
What is more important than disappointment, or being disappointed, is what comes after that:
Is it bandwagon hopping?( ie changing loyalty to say...Juve or Chelsea?)
Is it depression, and a vow to no longer give your heart to the source of your disappointment?
Or is it a decision to make the best of it? To continue to wear the club colours with pride, even after Istanbul? Even after a pathetic home display to Sampdoria? Even after choking in Rome to a side that could only counter attack, and defended (at home) with 11 men behind the ball?
Yes, we are all faced with choices, and one that most of us make, is to come here to MM, and vent. Please, vent, but not to the detriment of the morale of the rest of us here. No one is Mr or Ms Sunshine 24/7...that just isnt human nature, and those that are 110% optimistic are simply annoying after a very very short time, while the opposite is true, but in an even shorter time frame!
I read somewhere once where football fans are always living in the past, or future, never the present, unless we are watching our team lift a trophy.
Now, I chose to live in the future...Stam´s departure has just been confirmed, and now the majority of my thoughts are not focused on where we are in the table today, or where we will be at the end of next match day (for regardless of the outcome of the next round, we will still be behind Inter, the only difference being the amount of points...sheesh to be behind inter really really sucks)...my thinking is of who will we buy to replace Stam...Chivu? Cris? Materazzi :1avs: (GOD FORBID :irritate: )? Lugano? :dcool: Who?
I have written off this transfer window, and this season for that matter...even the UCL, as I currently dont see us beating Bayern..but that is the beauty of this game..for we just might..and for a few days, hope will spring forth...and the birds will be singing...until the next match day...
Such is life for the football fan.
So, feel free to come here and vent, write 10,000 word posts if it makes you feel better...but remember that what you post here is read by thousands, so think before you write, and think before you post...and th-th-tha-thats all folks! :D
Great post warro
And speaking of our transfer policy, I don't think the problem isn't exactly with the transfers, but in the rotation of them.
What is the point of bringing in these players if they never play? What was the opint of bringing in Janu, Vogel? They barely ever play, even if players such as Pirlo and Gattuso obviously need a rest.
Of course, we could spend more money to bring in younger talent, but the players that we do bring never play. How many players have come and gone in the past several years, doing little but warming the bench?
Its not like they all play poorly, they don't even get a chance to show themselves on the field.

I agree, we can still hope for CL and we need to focus on that. Get the real Cafu back, let Maldini renew his fitness and with a little luck we can win it. Scudetto is over , now we need to look forward in europe, not fool ourselves by saying we can catch up with Juve, we cant. Give Marek a chance, and let him and Cafu take full backs positions, motivate Pirlo properly and we can win it just like Barca and Chelsky. :firedev:
7. I cant agree on that...When u say sensible use of money, it means also a sensible use of transfers... I dont see a sensible way to that...What is the logic to buy players like Vieri or Amoroso and not invest again with someone like Torres?

1. Blah blah, which year does you compare us with? The best ever? We are better than we where for half the 90s this year. you just compare us with some dream team that hardly existed out of one or two seasons.
3. Anyone following Milan for more than ten minutes knows that Galliani talks politically, he doesn't say the truth and he should not. That Stam is leaving and Billy for sure is retiring is testament enough that we will bring in new blood.
4. First maybe you should lie about Nesta's age. Fabrication is just a sure way of showing that you can't argument and instead lie. Nesta is 29 years old. That you then add in subs in games doesn't make it better. As I said, in our normal starting 11 there is 3 or 4 players over 30 and that is counting the goalie which can be great until they are 40 in any way.
You should check the age of the defenders of the Deportivo that beat us two seasons ago, now that was old.
Football doesn't need "quick fresh legs" just as much as great players.
5. Fans like you = Fans that seems to think youth goes before quality.
6. Hey, reiterating a lie doesn't make it truth, like with Nesta's age, this point and JDT being topscorer. Here is a little clue for you then. Kaka, Gilardino, Stam, Amoroso and Jankulovski. None of them for free.
7. The all to evident logic is that Torres is a 50M€ transfer for a position where we have Sheva and Gilardino and just need a backup. Makes perfect sense. If anything that money should be looked into getting a new defender. We do invest in Italian youth players, do I really need to give you the long list of names? but youth players are a chance/risk, you can't know how they pan out. We can't compare with Juve as they have Moggi who have a stranglehold on to many teams and youths.
8. So relying for you is seeing him start a copa Italia game? :D You did yourself list up the last serie a games and he did not feature at all and that is with several injuries in defense.
9. Simic is a quality player playing for the Croatian national team which is know to have a great defense. His skills are mostly in the marking and positional side and he is a good header of the ball.
Half the players you talked about Kaladze have not even faced. He for sure took out Figo completly when we met Real Madrid. He have taken out Camoranesi when we met Juve and he have no problem eliminating others on his side when the time comes.
10. Take them now = put them on the bench. We will invest in defense, I have no doubt as there are people leaving, possibly including Maldini. I hope we succed as with Baresi we got to see how hard it can be to replace legends...
11. They do? What makes you think that? Can you really tell a player that turned us down and went somewhere else?
12. which part of what I said did you not understand? I said that a player like Torres you buy to replace a player like Inzaghi, because you can't have multimillion transfers with multimillion wages as backup, less so when the target is a second backup... We gambled with young fourth strikers for several years now and it have not turned out good.
13. Basically they have a defense almost as old as ours, they also have a midfield older than ours. Hehe. Otherwise I must ask this question, which part of "central defense" did you not understand?
Ours: Maldini,37 and Nesta,29 -> first backup Stam, 33
Juve: Thuram, 34 and Cannavaro, 33 -> first backup Kovac, 32
Don't tell me they are much less in need to get new players as they need to replace both starting inner defenders soon.
14. Siena.
15. There not the same as Milan, but that is unimportant. I could have a 300 pages mention of teams that lost against others even though there is a quality disreprancy. Roma was at home and in their best form, they beat Juve last week by the way, despite having also Totti injuried.
16. you have no sense of proportions. a "very very bad year" is when we are a middle placed team and went out from UCL and should have went out from the Copa too. As it is we went out from no cup and we are in a position (altough not the best) to challenge for the title and for sure qualify for UCL. It is easy to forget that Juve had serie A record points after half the season. had we had the points we got when we won the scudetto in with Zaccheroni then we would have troubles making it for 4th place...
17. Your argument was weak and still is. anyone with a clear mind can see that we are in no way in need to reinforce the team all over like you claimed. We need some new defenders, other things is a bonus and luxury.
18. No he wasn't. Next time, check facts.
Should we rely on Maldini to win all the matches? He is 38 years old ... He had played so many years for milan but he is too old now... I don't want to say that he must retire ( he will retire when he will believe that he can't play and help his team anymore), he is good but we mustn't rely on him...
He is 37 and he is great. only foolish kid with no real argument talks about his age as that is a footballing trait. what he shows on the field is what counts. anyway, we don't rely on one player, we rely on the team.

i think the problem is that Milan have been Complacent that Maldini would be playing for a few more years, hence the lack of defensive backup.I think the Milan powers that be have been dum not to not think "what if" maldini gets injured. Yeah he is brill for a 37 year old ,but Milan should have really had got a replacement lined up by now, Baresi retired when he was 36. And we really struggled in the the 1997/1998 season after Baresi and Tassoti left because there was no decent backup.
After the deportivo la coruna game, and after the liverpool game where we were 4-1 up in the first leg,and 3-0 up at half time, alot of fans (like me) are wondering why the hell the club didnt the club do anything. I just feel with Galliani living in denile (no its not a place in egypt), and belusconi takin a step back from the club, we are in trouble.
Looking through the tranfers today, Inter signed Cesar, who have we got? f**k all!
I just get the feeling the club will only buy Bargain bin players ("vieri, Amoruso,..) to fill squad up, when we could have done with a player like cesar to replace Serghino who is getting old. With this attitude that we have, i dread to think what kind of summer signings might be like, our transfer rumours today - cesare natali,Ujfalus, cris (never seen play), felipe (who is no way ready to join milan)
I think that Milan have to become used to play without Maldini, I mean, he's close to retire.
How many matches did we win without him? 2, 3?
We need to bring some good and YOUNG people for defense and foward position.

Graeme C....I beg to differ...
a) Inter have spend over 200m pounds in 5 years or so on the transfer market, and all they have to show for it is an Italian Cup..so spending big is no guarantee for success.
b) After both losses, which I think Nesta had part of the blame...yes our great Nesta slipped and let in a goal vs Depor, and against Liverfool...well...Stam was to blame for one of the goals...both mentioned are world class defenders..so sell them and replace them then? I think the club did the right thing to continue to show confidence in a backline that had won the UCL just the season before...
c) I think it is a little unfair of you to compare Amoroso´s signing (which I have no problem with) with what we may or may not do in the summer. I think that Milan will splash out the cash for 2 world class players, probably in defense, and maybe try to get another veteran player for the middle, or some combination thereof.
I tend to agree with acmilan918 that we tend to underutilise our new aquisitions, but here is where I defer to Carlo..he is the one that evaluates them in training..not us, so if he doesnt have full confidence in their ability, then he relegates them to the bench..though I agree that unless given ample opportunity in "real-match" conditions, it will be hard to impress.
Suffice it to say, that I am confident that come June-July, Berlu will splash out at least 30M on players to fill the gaps left by Billy, Stam, and maybe Rui Costa. :respect:

Then prepare to be mad again, as believe me, before the season is over, we will lose at least a couple more times.
The world is not at an end. Take a warm bath, or cold shower, relax, read a book, meditate, go to church, volounteer at an old age home.. do something positive, and forget about Milan for a while...you have a few days before we go to Lazio.
Then you can prepare to be mad again! :D

Hi ,
Do you think that is the proper time or even is too late for Mr.Ancelloti to leave Milan free.
His empy ideas and bla bla for every game that does not win is not a shame for him and Mr.Galliani that wants to justify himself that has hired a coach as him ?

I'm not going to touch the ancelotti debate with a 10 ft pole
but I will say that the blame is not all his. The players haven't gotten the job done, and the upper management has disappeared this year.
IMHO, the defense is too old. The should have signed some young talented backups for cover. Milan just does not have enough depth.
If I have to yell at anyone, it's upper management.
Milan will recover but I'm still stunned no defender was brought in during the winter break. Major major major mistake.

The dreaded vote of confidence...or has Galliani started to become truthfull in his old age:
From acmilan.com:
GALLIANI: 'Ancelotti is untouchable'
2/1/2006
ROME - Carlo Ancelotti still has the confidence of the club despite elimination from the Italian Cup and Galliani said: 'Ancelotti is absolutely not at risk. I spoke to him until two in the morning to find out the reason for this defeat and I pratically didn't sleep so go lightly on me. It's a delicate moment and we'll see what we do on Sunday at Lazio. We believe in this side, we haven't lost this conviction, there have been years when we have been worse and those in which we have been better.'
why milan r so disappointed this season so far?? the answer is simple: it is in their heads and it is significantly damaged by the istanbul final!!!
ok nesta slipped which led to depor's goal, but dida and cafu made one or two fatal mistakes too.. as for stam's mistake that led to one liverpool's goal, that is unforgivable, because he had all the time in the world to mark gerrard!
our only target this season are second place finished in serie A(i am trying to be realistic here!) and CL!
i think galliani is being diplomatic for saying ancelotti is safe and no reform is needed in the squad. the fact is galliani thinks there is a serious problem here but it is a bit too late to fix it at this stage of the season so if galliani told the truth now it would damage the morale of the coach and the team. so it is wiser to tell the truth at the end of the season.
i am sure if milan win no title this season, ancelotti will be sacked, if not then galliani must be stupid.
FORZA MILAN, LETS WIN THE CL IN PARIS!!!!
I prefer anceloti to stay, and all the out of date players to leave. Then milan will be in full strenght again.Anceloti is good but he dosent eve have a 11 player good team to put up,and im not going to say more about substitutes.

i dont know why but ancelotti has this knack of losing big games after his sides have taken e lead..remember juve vs man utd in 1999, then milan vs depor & milan vs liverpool.
i find him above average but certainly not in the class of ferguson, wenger, mourinio, capello or hitzfeld

1-2 : U keep blah blah also yourself. I compare it with the team i saw crash Barcelona 4-0, with the team crashed Inter 6-0, with the team the enjoyed good attacking football and "one star every season" that Galliani once said. Stop repeating about the dream team, i already told u that this is not the issue but maybe u didnt understood it...so i repeat it
I DONT COMPARE IT WITH A DREAM TEAM. Is it ok now? do u want it in more big fonts?
3 : Ok i see u change the subject, lets follow your new direction. Galliani is talking like a politician, yes i agree but the truth is that we get players only by free the last years, with exceptions of Gila or Kaka (although he was so cheap on that point, that it was also something similar for me)
And yes i follow it more than 10 mins, just check my profile, its really an easy thing to do...if u want help on this, just pm in my msn, to show u where to look.
4 : Nesta borned in 19/03/1976 so...in one month from now, guess what how old he will be...yes? yes? Yes he will be 30, so technically is 30 years old. If u have another secret date that Nesta borned, please provide ac milan official site with the new one, so it can be changed...
Please also remind me 4 big gk that are good at their 40. If its difficult to you, start counting opposite and tell me at 39, then at 38...and stop where it is more "ok" with u.
As for the statement : "Football doesn't need "quick fresh legs" just as much as great players"., ok nothing more to add there...I just understood how u "dream" our milan...
5 : I think that u must have a good balance on them...not only the first one (as u always be Ajax, and i dont like that) and not the last one...as u will be like...guess who?
6 : How much costed Stam? How much costed Amoroso? How much costed Kaka? Lol, jesus...As for Nesta, read some points upper and reconsider maybe?
For the Danish, i still think, that when we was played for Feyenoord and scored 14 goals in the league (and totally 18), was 1st scorer. If not, doesnt change a bit. The meaning of that comment it was that we took him because we think he prooved something with these goals and most important because...guess what again....he was free...The fav word of today's Milan.....
7 : So because Moggi is a transfer guru, we must accept that, we who have Braida or the boldman on hand...ok nice logic, i cant undestand it fully, maybe others do.
Torres is a 25m transfer to me and yes take him and use him in a better rotation system. Dont stick with the old tactics, the 3nd striker in never a 3nd striker....
8 : Why still field him is the question...or the real question is why dont have a younger backup and still have Costacurta on your team...maybe u dont like these questions, yes?
9 : "for the Croatian national team which is know to have a great defense"
OMG, ok i rest my case... :v46:
Thnx god we didnt faced till now these attackers, we are saved from embarasments same as we faced in Cup Italia last night...(never put Figo on the list, /me is not crazy!!)
10 : What we hearing is that we are talking about taking one defender, lol its like another one said in this thread (cant recall his name right now), by saying that Galliani just live in his nirvana (something like that i think he wanted to say). So i dont see heavy Defence transfer policy. For me is not heavy to take a young italian defender. Heavy is to take 2 quality defenders and maybe one or two italian young defenders also.
11 : Many, not just one: Fred is the last one in the chain i can recall, that preffered the French (although i also found them to be a very good promising team, but hey its not milan) than us. Robinho at first said that he had Italian interest but then didnt even bothered to discuss, transfered there at once. I hope also Lugano dont be like them, and consider to come here (from what they say, he seems very capable).
12 : See what i posted about modern tactics....
13 : Ahm...u dont understand me...u always go to personal..damn me
14 - 17: We are out of Coppa Italia with a very embarrasing way, we are out of Serie A and even worst we are bellow our cousins, jesus...We are only in CL against e very tough team that have a wonderfull run in their league and if we take the facts as there are now, we will not make it through. No my friend, is not a bad year when we were at mid table or even relegated...those were CATASTROPHIC YEARS. I dont even consider them....u dont look at your worst to be better...u look at your best (u remind me the story of the child that goes to his mother and tell her that he took 09 to 20 in his school and then he tell her, wait i lied i took 13, so please be happy :D )
To sum up and end every possible quarell on this...I knew before start this thread that many that for me (living) in the DREAM WORLD, that believe that we are ok, we just dont have our best year but we are ok, will be "hunted" me like a dog (just an expression) with their posts. Wake up ppl, we having our 2nd bad year and they way we transfer players, (and the way the others transfer their players) we will have many bad years upfront...
I dont have anything personal for you Kris, although u make it personall through your posts...I know Warren that this thread may be readed by thousands, thats my point to start it or thats the point to be @ milanmania all these years. To say things loudly, without fearing with other "old schools" will say and hope that maybe one day someone will see your post and work on this damn team that i love it so much :) And maybe change his view, his prespective on things...
Milan is not a company for me, and i believe is not in many of you. We want always the best, is that they way Don Silvio spoiled us on 90's
Don Silvio....damn i feel he is so away the last years...Ok he is the prime minister now, but he is too away...he evolved to something else, not the old Don Silvio that order our tacticians to play attacking football...
Galliani...he is our transfer guru but hey...he is to evolving to something else...Why to talk like a politician? The answer is simple...to win the elections of Serie A and be president there..guess what, i dont give a dime what other "ambitions" the boldman have, outside our Milan. Guess what also, i need Milan to be again a player on the transfer things...We dont act like this anymore and i know its not because of the money...so what it is?
Anyway, very dissapointed...still
1-2 : U keep blah blah also yourself.

1-2. First you compare the team to two of our best performances ever and then you claim that you don't compare it to some dream team? The 4-0 win was by possibly the best team ever. The 6-0 win was a glorious day by a team that is clearly inferior to the one we have now. They are just two games.
3. You conveniently forgot Stam and Jankulovski. Also to claim that Kaka is like "a free transfer" because we got him quite cheap is hilarious. Must Galliani make sure we pay overprice to satisfy you.
4. You originally said "over 30". It is proved now then that he is not over 30, that you change premises to fit your agenda doesn't change this. 30 is also no age for a defender.
Then you can take your young team that runs fast but don't have much skill and I gather the best players nearer 30 and we see which one will win.
5. Oh I agree that balance is good. We are not allowed to take to big risks which leads us to buy "ready made players".
6. Your point being? That we should overpay? Stam was a overpaid transfer IMO though. Kaka a brilliant one.
He was not ever best scorer in Feyenoord, that was Van Hoojidonk. Your point is crap too "We bought him because he proved himself", maybe we should buy players because they have not proven themself next time. we can as well pay 50M€ for the player too, as paying to little can't satisfy you.
7. I think that Athletico Madrid have quite a bit more than you to say about the price for Torres. Altough if we get him for 25M€ then I surely won't complain, that would be a good deal.
8. I don't like when you make up things like "we rely on Billy" when we clearly don't. Simple, I already said he is good for the dressing room. Also he will bring stability as a sub, something most youths won't. Quite simple really, if Ancelotti thought Marzoratti would have been good enough he would have picked him instead of Billy. But he doesn't have those years of experience.
9. :D about Simic
I remember when we met ManU, they talked about how our slow defense wouldn't cope with Ronaldo/Rooney/RVN. OUr defense with Kaladze didn't concede a goal in either game against. I bring up real people he met, you know from real games, where you talk about strikers he haven't met with a panickly "if we would meet them". You have no basis for what you said.
10. Take them now = January. Now obviously to late. The only player we could have directly needed then was a alternative for Cafu. in the summer we need 1+1 central defender (starter+reserve) and a right fullback.
11. Ah. you believe some rumour that he was wanted by us and decided that it was a decision by him to choose Lyon instead. :howler: Robinho also hardly is supported and it isn't exctly shameful if he would choose the most succesful team in europe ever.
12. I won't bother. I made my point perfectly clear.
13. your point? It was my point that their central defense was as old as ours and you changed that premise.
14. Those teams also are out of their domestic cup: Juve, Barcelona, Arsenal (both) and Chelsea (from one). But the game was really bad, no question about it. Just like we had a horrible loss against Lazio the same year we won the Scudetto last. Well, we shifted up and below Inter many years. We are better on points in Serie A this year compared to last season at this stage, the difference is that the competition have won more.
15. There are no fact whatsoever saying we are out of UCL. don't misuse the word "fact". Last years winner in UCL was on fifth place in their league. I think you need to define "Very very bad" then, and then tell me what is needed to be "Very bad", "bad", "ok", "good", "very good" and "fantastic".
16. You look at your best to see where to set the goal, not to compare the current team. Because if you just compare to the best then you will be dissappointed 99% of the time. Simple as. Moreso looking at the first part of your post talking about two of our best results ever.
17. Don't make yourself a martyr.
18. Last year was a good year, but dissappointing. Losing on penalties in UCL is in no way bad and coming second in serie A is "ok". This year this far look bad, but can be salvaged, but that mostly demand that player take on their duties. To get Maldini back would also be beneficial.
19. I doubt I will change my perspective. In the other thread I started I gave my view perfectly.
20. True. I try to be more openminded than always demanding that they emulate the best team I ever seen. I would be happy if they did or surpassed that, would be horrible to see all other posters after that as after all peaks there is a fall.
21. Obviously that he isn't in his old position is bad, just like that Galliani sits on the Lega Calcio.
22. Your wrong. Read what Giovanni said about it. Galliani always talked like this, including our glory years in the early 90s.

Not at all. You been on the defensive all the time and it is quite clear you are wrong on the non-opinion issues. Whether a player is good or not is opinion. Whether Nesta is over 30 is not. Whether JDT been topscorer in Holland is not. Whether Juve have a central defense as old as ours is not. That we only get players on free is not. There is not way whatsoever you can claim otherwise without looking a fool. Sure you can back here in two months and say that Nesta is older than 30 now. :D
This is a debating forum, if you can't/don't want to debate then don't do it. Destroyed the thread? Nonsense, just because I disagreed and dismissed some of your points it is not destroyed. In fact if you think it is destroyed then maybe you should question the worth of it at all.
Bring some new defenders, but the midfield didn't do that great vs. Palermo, and I don't know why sheva isn't going back to support Kaka, and seedorf anymore. So I say bring a cafu replacment and fire STAM.. Kaka must be used more than he is used now his speed, and dribbling talent could really effect on a large amount.
Carlo's luck has just ran out even thou I like him a bit.

Kris stop talking about Nesta's age ... He is 29.. we got it ... Nesta is one of the best defenders in the world now and i don't think that anyone dissagree with that... we need new defenders and some young players (not only defenders)... do yo agree?
Lancelot
04-02-2006, 16:39
No he thinks we have just a not so good period as in the past we had worst (were lower on the league as he told). OMG
It seems that Cafu is agreeing with me however, as he also said its one of the most worst years we ever had...
We need at least 2 quality defenders and some more young players ...and above all...we need a new tactician...U cant have the same coach after these 2 years..what worst can he do? Jesus...
Ps
Nesta is 30 but ok lets agree that he is 29, so Kris stop repeating himself...
My Plan:-
-Change Carlo(A choach/player i will always admire and cheer for)
-Change Stam for a good young CB(even thou stam is from holland a national team that i love)
-Fire simic, kaladze and billy and put 2 youngsters from the youth team and buy 1 from the free market or but luizao from benfica.
-RB problem,, kronkamp is with liverpool but a great player so oddo must be purchesed, and put cafu as a sub.
-Goodbye seedorf for snider a great player whos preforming bad with a great young one.
-Why amoroso , dump him for a young italain free purchase.
-Pippo should be used more often
-Vogel and ambro change them for ballack or if there is enough money why not try iniesta from barca i know he is not calcio matrial but hes a good sub and can be great in a couple of years. if not then Van Bommel,Mancini, or even davids for a sub, 2 of them played in te calcio(ps: this goes for a sub)
-the players who shouldnt be touched are:-
Sheva
KAKA
Pirlo
Gatuso
Nesta(for 2 more seasons)
Maldini(Until retired)
Serginho
and dida even thou having some truoble
-Rui is Great but hes a bt old and i doubt that Kaka would leave us so we need a sub for him.
Try and imagine a line up like that next seasen
Coach:MvB
----------Dida----------
----Nesta-----Maldini---
-Oddo--------------NP-
-Gatuso--Pirlo---Snider-
----------------KAKA-
Sheva--------Gila-----
with sheva moving back more ofcorse
and subs like
Mancini
Iniesta
Toni
The CL,Scudeto, And Coppa Italia would be ours even it costs a lot of money we would return it in one season.
Luck?? I don't think that 2 CL FINALs, 1 Serie A, 1 Coppa Italia....is any luck. The man knows a lot about the game. It is not his fault this has happening as the whole team has to take the blame. However, I can't but say that new, fresh ideas may only do good to the club in the summer......so it might be about that time that we take a new approach.

Please folks..... every time when I read another thread, I have the impression that I'm still reading the previous thread. Everybody is so dissapointed about the recent results of Milan (which is very normal of course) and many people want to start a new thread to say what they think about this situation. I have nothing against the fact that many threads have very similar comments, but I have a bit difficulties with the fact that everybody suddenly says that everything and everybody is bad at Milan. Of course there are things at the club that don't work anymore, but it's so hard to say 'this', 'this' or 'this' is the cause of our problems. The only thing we need to do now is supporting our beloved Milan and not blaming everybody (coach, players, directors). After rain comes sunshine and the sunshine will be back very quickly if we all keep on supporting IL GRANDE MAGICO MILAN!!!!

Yeah i agree with you totally we have to stop complaining we are Milan fans not Inter, very nice said :u125:
I do not think he has been given the players if I'm honest. when you think about it a large number of our squad was bought as cast offs, Pirlo, Cafu, Seedorf, Amuroso, Vieri, Vogel. Gila and Nesta have been the only two big signings he's had, that's not much considering he's been there almost 5 seasons, how many big players has Capello, Mourinho and Rijkaard had signed for then in half that time.

It just isnt simply good enough now we are losing points that are slowly ending our scuddeto chances yes the strikers have done there bit but the defence is so leakey and now it looks like Dida cannot be bothered we need change now and fast. i meen drawing with sampdoria 1-1 AT HOME the first points we have lost there ALL SEASON. i hope im not sounding too harsh but we need to win somthing big and silence our critics.

I think Nesta must stay to milan as long as he wants or until retired because he is great defender!
We kaka would leave milan? He signed up a contract with milan which ends at 2009 or 2010... We mustn't let kaka ever leave milan ;).
