View Full Version : Coppa Italia: Milan vs. Palermo
The game will be on Wednesday, at San Siro.
There are several Palermo players we have been following, who we think could help Milan if the move to our team... Barzagli being the most serious candidate...
My suggested line up:
Kalac
Simic (Marzoratti), Costacurta, Kaladze, Jankulovsky
Vogel, Gattuso,Rui Costa, Seedorf
Inzaghi, Amoroso
yeah i think amoroso should play this game!!!

Kalac

Inzaghi, Amoroso
Yup.Ideal line up with a additional or Armagni in as stricker sub
Carletto has confirmed in acmilan.it that Amoroso will start... maybe Cafu also... no players from the Primavera will be available for the match...
Amoroso will probably play for 45 minutes, and we need to be carefull with Cafu's comeback. He means a lot to this team. I hope we can rest seedorf and pirlo for the weekend, sheva too. Let kaka play, palermo is a strong team, it will be a tough match for us. maybe something like this..............
dida-cafu-nesta-kaladze-jankulovski-vogel-gattuso( on the left)-rui-kaka-gila-amoroso
Too bad ambrosini is injured and we dont have anybody who can play in sedorfs place when you put marek on the BL. Putting serginho on the LM and marek on the LB would not be a good idea.

Kalac
Simic - Marzoratti - Costacurta - Jankulovski
Gattuso - Vogel - Serginho - Rui Costa
Inzaghi - Amoroso
So you would play Simic on the right, and Marzoratti as CB???
please read above, Carlo said NO PRIMAVERA players will play today...

Dildil i think the odds for your score + choice of players should be something like 150 to 1 :P
For this game, I hope Amoroso gets some minutes, along with Cafu. And Cafu is extremely fundamental to us, even though he is not the same player he used to be, but im sure he can offer us alot. We need to be careful with using him. Rest Sheva, and give Gila a few minutes at the end, he hasnt had a shot on target in a while. I do hope Marek gets his full 90 minutes.
Marzoratti isnt exactly a Primavera player. I think he'll play.

is this today ...........
']Marzoratti isnt exactly a Primavera player. I think he'll play.
Despite the fact he already made his debut in Serie A and that he has traveled with the team to USA tour and a couple UCL matches, he IS a primavera player... you can see it in the official website (acmilan.it)
He is listed as a primavera player, just like Ardemagni.

not the most entertaining game so far.i hope they play better in the second half
1 word: Boring
Defense: Very good.
Midfield: Average.
Attack: Disappointing.
Jankulovsky looks like he has some of the old confidence back, but he can still improve. Lets bring in Cafu for thesecond half becouse simic cant go forward and has some problems with grosso. Amoroso looks solid, better than Vieri at everything! but again, too coufuzed formation we are using, not a simgle prepared action in the entire first half.
nesta having a excellant game looks like he's coming back to form. gila had a shot saved should have scored

Thanks mishie!! 1-0....dont mind..a win is a win..one more in Palermo and we are off to the semis!!
I guess Amoroso just needs a bit more time playing with the team.
And did you get PPlive working hitman?
final score 1-0 another win and a clean sheet!! forza milan

The clean sheet being almost as important as the victory...FORZA MIIIIIIIILAN!!! :u56: :rone:
nesta looked good. looks like he's back on top of his game just in time for munich, bennisimo :3band:
Very nice defense today. Today's defense is as great as a few years before (the year when we won the champion League).
Midfield is alright. Pirlo's entrance is a great help. Kaka` finished it off.
Not great, but a very solid performance today. GG.
yes, nesta looked good in the last few games, but the most important thing from this bad game is that jankulovsky showed he is coming back. His crosses are good, he sprinted a lot today, showe strenght and determination. also, once again, he showed he can be way better solution than serginho. pirlo played so poor today, way too slow. RAI always broadcasts coppa italia games, and its free so you can see Milan's every simgle coppa game on RAI.
The clean sheet was fantastic, if we can get an away goal or two we should be looking good for a semi final spot :D
samp on saturday and then 2nd leg on tuesday a feast of calcio hopefully 2 more clean sheets and some confidence for the defence. :dcool:
for those with RAI International (living outside of Italy), the game will be on tonight...

Hmmm... sounds good.
Carlo will not experiment a new formation for a UCL game... maybe not even Coppa Italia...
In order of appearance, his choices IMO would be:
RB = Cafu, Stam, Simic
RCB = Nesta, Nesta, Nesta, Stam, Simic, Billy
LCB = Maldini, Kaladze, Stam
LB = Kaladze, Maldini, Serginho, Jankulovsky

Good game defensively for milan not so brilliant going forward. Amoroso played well but doesn't have a good understanding with the other players yet he needs some time.

Milan-Palermo was not on RAI today live, it was put on 6 hours later.
The Udinese-Samp game was live though.
