...and.......it oculd be a tough match for us, even dough Sampdoria is missing few players. We could finnaly see Cafu back , even for one half. Serginho will probably start as a LB, but it would be nice to give Janku a real chance as a LB. He could look better than serginho and is starting to shine again. so maybe something like this............dida-simic-nesta-kaladze-serginho-pirlo-gattuso-seedorf-kaka-sheva-gila. With cafu, narek and pippo given a chance. Maybe even marek from the start. aldough, we could have some defensive problems with serginho-cafu or cafu-jankulovski as our full backs.

# 11' High ball deflected up into the Samp box...VOLPI GOES IN WITH INZAGHI! THE MILAN MAN HITS THE DECK! AND SIGNOR DE SANTIS POINTS TO THE SPOT!! Not sure that's the right decision, but Milan have a penalty.

# 12' Shevchenko the man to take it....AND SENDS ANTONIOLI THE WRONG WAY! There was never any doubt in the Ukrainian's mind that he would score...that was a lovely penalty.

This site (http://www.footballtvs.com/) has some stream links, and this (http://www.football4less.com/schedules/schedules_28012006.html) - but I can't find any sites showing the game yet.

OH MY GOD!

36' Gasbarroni with space twenty-five metres out...HAS A CRACK!! AND IT'S IN!! HOW DID THAT GO IN? Dida made such a hash of that...that ball just brushed off his right arm and went in...he seemed to be completely bamboozled by the flight of the ball.

For goodness sake.

Anyway:

37' Dida - it seems - injured a shoulder in the warm-up and was almost replaced by Zeljko Kalac...but I'm not sure that his injury hampered him very much there.

40' Free-kick for Samp...thirty metres out...VOLPI!! OFF THE POST!! AND DIDA DIDN'T MOVE A MUSCLE! There was no need...if that was going in, it was going in!! Brilliant strike!

41' Samp all over Milan...corner now...Novellino yelling instructions to his players...DEEP BALL IN FROM FLACHI!! CASTELLINI!! HEADS DOWN...AND OFF THE POST AND OUT!!

I don't have good feeling about this match ... Samp have become more dominant and Dida is having mare.

Agree i watched the whole match was very disappointing . i would keep ancelotti if he actually made some good decisions and bought some players too!

Stam cant play right back , Serginho midfield not defender ummm seedorf is up and down, pirlo did nothing, gattuso nearly gave away a penalty i could go on but i wont as i love this club cmon milan buy some players!!!

I simply cannot believe that Carlo didn't realize already that Stam CAN'T PLAY as a right back, for God's sake! :(

And the fact that he doesn't have a decent 'defensive' RB to play alongside Serginho on the left it's not an acceptable excuse, because Carlo can put pressure on the board to bring more depth and fresh players to our side!

This makes me sick to watch
Nobody did their job, and when nobody on a team does their job IMO it is no longer the players' responsibility, but the coach's. Sure, you can blame Pirlo and Stam, but we have seen to many displays this season like this one, including the matches vs. Roma and Chievo.
How much longer until Carlo leaves???

Oh well, I tired to tell you that several times but I guess it didn't go through - you and your posts are just plain irritating with your constant whining about things that, one way or the other, DO NOT depend on you or anyone else in this forum. And I honestly don't know how long is it gonna take you to realize that calling for multimillion $$$$ transers and mentioning the names of at least 50 players so far is not gonna change the fact that Milan's transfer policy is so very different than what you, in your perfect pink and dreamy world, would like it to be. Now that's what I meant by telling you that live in CM world and you need to get down to the real one as soon as possible - the sooner you make that transition, the better for you ... and I guess for everyone else here, as well, 'cause we won't have to make herculean efforts to look away as soon as we see your trademark - a whiny, pessimistic post that has zero effect on REAL things.
Oh, and btw, by constantly adding new and new faces to your "must buy" list of players, you are just showing that you have no clear idea what the team needs and how this difficult moment can be overcome as you are just shooting blanks in the dark, hoping that you hit something. Well, my friend, the only thing you are hitting is that thin air in that CM world you live in.
And to answer your question - I don't think that anyone here is blind to the necesity for changes, it's just that those people you refered to above are more realistic in their views. And when they will come to post their opinions? Well, I think a good guess would be - as soon as you stop irritating the hell out of them, I am sure they might find some enjoyment in visiting this forum yet again and giving their opinions. Until then why should come here at all - read posts by heavily depresed people going through yet another one of their "it's the end of the world" moods? See that 15 out of 20 posts in every single active thread come from a person, who lives his life on the right side of Zero? Where's the fun in that?
Ciao e a presto.

a whiny, pessimistic post that has zero effect on REAL things.

And of course your pathetic, conformist and deeply UNrrealistic posture have extraordinary effects on reality... by the way, you certainly think that we've performed superbly against Sampdoria, that crappy talk "oh, that draw was only a matter of bad luck, guys, everything is fine, our team is unbeatable"... come on, give me a break, Zlatanov!!! And if I don't have a clear idea of what do, if I'm 'lost in the dark', the same tag can be applied to Carlo, Galliani and Braida, all of them totally clueless of what to do! But there's a big difference, buddy: I'm a simple fan, so it doesn't matter if I'm lost, but the fact that our board is completely without ideas to revert that bad state of things is definitely terrible!

And I don't live at all on CM world, or on a pink world, or on whatever kind of **** your lunacy could figure out. Who lives in an unreal world is YOUR kind of fan, the 'everything is fine' lot of mindless dumbs.

I don't know what went wrong, the whole team just looked tired. And I want to talk about Gattuso again... every time he got the ball he stoped the play, he can't pass or shoot and every time he trying to help the offence... he looks useless. I have to hand it to him, when he was substituted Sampdoria got more possession in the middle and it looked like no one trying to take the ball from them, and I don't know if this happned because Gattuso steped down or because the team was just tired.
Look for example at Barca or Chelsea, even their hard working players can sometimes join the attack and help to creat something... I mean can a team at this level to allow herself to have a player in the middle that have no attacking or creative skills at all???

i did not see the game, i spent my time skiing today.. i was hoping to watch the game really, but now im thankful i didnt cuz it wud have just ruined my mood..

gre-no-li.. zlatanov is right, there r other members around here that really get annoyed with ur posts, including me.. u always want new players into the team, u want them to splash out the cash, u want to flame the players that dint play well... i dont mind u expressing ur opinion a few times, but u see with u bro, u keep repeating the same idea over and over and over agian in most of ur posts..u keep sayin that our management is bad for not making any transfers now, u keep sayin that ancelotti is to blame, etc..

im not attacking u or anything, im just trying to explain to u how others think.. maybe it'll be better if u simply just try to not blame the board or the players about it.. ofcourse u may be right, but remember that neither ur opinion, nor anyones opinion here counts for anything, and it will not change the way milan play unfortunately.. i really used to be very negative about everything.. i have recently noticed that no matter how much i complain, it'll not do anything, so i really dont bother much.. maybe u shud try :)

i just saw the highlights of the game and it seems like we have been having most of the chances, with 3 dangerous chances through sheva, kaka, and seedorf, but for a team like Milan and with a team like ours, we were supposed to have more chances since they equalised early..i dont know what on EARTH was dida thinking.. i really dont know what the hell went wrong, this is so wierd, ive never seen something like this.. maybe the guy needs 3 or 4 games at the sidelines.. i also think that ancelotti should have made changes much earlier to change our style of play to start getting more dangerous in getting the goals..

i have a Q for those who watched the game, how did Rui Costa and Gila play? and is it only me that thinks Inzaghi is not improving game by game? especially with his finishing?

I guess that's a funny and odd conclusion, to say the least: it's pretty obvious that my complainings will change nothing at Milan, but 'oh life is so sweet' mindlessly sugarcoated and edulcorated attitude of Zlatanov & cia. can't do better, dude; it can do even worst, indeed, because it doesn't estimulate the critical refletion.

first of all, since milan is playing badly, there are lots of "fiights" on this forum, which i can understand. But still, we have to at least try to respect other peoples oppinions. I always say I dont agree with Zlatanov or some other people that say we are fine and no changes need to be done. On the other hand, we cant become Real Madrid, it would be awfull. We dont need to spend 150 mil on superstar players, our players and coach just needs to be good enough, just the way juve does it. In my oppinion, Carlo is doing a horrible job running this team, he has no authority and is not capable of making any team play 100% of their potential. He already prove that in Juve and Parma where he failed. Milan plays in individual way, not like a team, with hope kaka, sheva, seedorf will do something. Pirlos crosses were horrible, he didnt play well in defence, lost too many balls in the middle. How can someone say he did ok????? NO . he deserved a 5 grade! He should be a leader of this team and he behaves like he is ronaldinho and plays only when he has the ball, pathetic ( its Carlos fault-he is letting pirlo do what ever he wants ). One more question, how many trained attacks and actions did you see milan play?? We have no idea how to swich sides, rotate midfielders, cross from flanks.....our players simply dont run enoughj, they dont moove without the ball!! look at that detail next time. you cant play defence when pirlo, seedorf and kaka simply dont care about it, its unacceptable. we dont need ronaldinho or other superstart, but we do need tougher manager and young blood. Maybe even a man like Moggi to do us some of his magic. TO be realistic - players like serginho, rui costa, costacurta, amoroso, vogel, simic, are not world class, and its ok for now to have tham as a reserves ( which we do ), but we have to look forward and renew out team. This season is over for us, scudetto is gone. Lets focus on CL and stop talking everything is fine when you can see we play like shi! . now lets take on bayern with 120% of our power!

I always say I dont agree with Zlatanov or some other people that say we are fine and no changes need to be done.
mrki, please find one single post of mine where I say that NO changes are necessary. Find just one and I will admit that I was wrong for saying that. I do believe, however, that there is a difference between asking for several players that would be relatively cheap and easy to get and asking for players like Aguero, Chivu, Teves, Torres, etc, etc each of whom will cost ~20 mil and in Torres' case at least twice that amount.
I honestly believe that there isn't a single person in this forum, who would say that nothing needs to be changed given out current situation. But again, how realistic is it to believe that a club like Milan, with its frugal and careful transfer policy, would splash enormous amounts of cash for unproven players, who may very well not change anything once they come at Milan.
And it is perfectly fine with me, and I am sure by saying that I speak for many other members too, if someone has some very unrealistic ideas of how things could get better. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing wrong in having those ans sharing them with other forum mebers in one, two, three, ... 5 ...10 of your posts. But repeating one and the same thing and complaining, and complaining, and complaining over and over, and over again in ... I don't know how many posts so far, becomes just plain annoying in the end. I have to admit that I myself start to lose interest in visiting some of my favourite threads simply because I read one and the same complaints posted 15-20 times and all of them coming from the same person. I don't see this as giving an opinion, I see it as trying to beat your opinion into the heads of other people, becase this is the only way you can get them to agree with you.
Oh, yeah, one other thing, as well - I am having a pretty cool head when I am posting this, and that previous entry too.
Cheers.

An overall excellent post, mrki, congratulations! That said, I only want to add further considerations on some of your brilliant remarks:

One more question, how many trained attacks and actions did you see milan play?? We have no idea how to swich sides, rotate midfielders, cross from flanks.....our players simply dont run enoughj, they dont moove without the ball!!

You hit the bull's eye with that observation, that's exactly what's happening: our players are clueless on the pitch, and if wasn't for the great individual value of some of our players, the situation would be a lot worst, that's the sad true. It looks that we are running out of tatical alternatives, nothing capable of articulate an efficient gameplay.

TO be realistic - players like serginho, rui costa, costacurta, amoroso, vogel, simic, are not world class, and its ok for now to have tham as a reserves ( which we do ), but we have to look forward and renew out team.

Couldn't agree more, my friend: the players you quoted
are great subs, but they cannot be starters on club like Milan, we need better players and more squad depth, everyone who is not blind can see that.

Lets focus on CL and stop talking everything is fine when you can see we play like shi! .now lets take on bayern with 120% of our power!

We are not only playing like ****, we are also talking and acting like ****, which portrays an even worst state of affairs. I really hope we can overcome Bayern, but that will be a very hard task.

maybe u guys r right, afterall, this is a forum mainly for every1 to talk about milan and express what they think should be done..but u guys shud remember, ur opinions will not do nething to the team..

and mrki, its true that our sub bench is not world class, but tell me, for u.. who was a world class defence if milan does not have one? im thinking of real, barca, juve, chelsea, inter, bayern and im sorry dude, but i dont think any one of them have a great squad like ours. ur right, costacurta is too old, and can do with another guy.. simic is nothing more than a sub, and really, he's been playin well (for his standards)..Serginho is a useful squad member, although i dont think he should be a starter..i dont know alot of players that can be as useful as serginho when he comes on as a sub (but only as a midfielder).. rui costa? man, to me he is still the best player in milan.. this guy is unbelievable, he only is unconsistent cuz he doesnt get enough playing time.. this guy would be starting in any team in the world and would be the star player..

vogel is a pretty good sub really..he was the heart of PSV's midfield in their succesful campaign last yr..i mean, would u rather have vogel in ur team, or someone like Blasi? D. Pizarro? Alan Smith? Guti? Only chelsea have a better sub in that position which is Maniche.. im sure that u understand we cannot have vieira or essien as a sub..

u all need to cool down and chill for a bit..our team is going through a tough time.. they certainly can play well as they usually do under pressure, but they lack consistency.. i really think this is carlo's fault because he is the one who's supposed to field the consistent players and make them fired up with all his 'talks'.. i really dont think we need to bring in sneijder, torres, sobis (press say we offered 11 mln for him yesterday) etc.. i think we have a good enough squad and shud only bring new players in the case that someone's leaving like with stam, cafu and billy.. the only change we need is in the coach..or maybe berlusconi can put some fear into him so he can really do his in a better way

sarcasm looks wise when there is certain level of logical thinking attached to it, otherwise it just looks plain stupid.

Logical thinking is something people like you never heard about, 'cause blind optimistic unrealism is always a synonim of lack of inteligence.

I don't know what is the problem with Zlatanov, he attacked me too when I suggested that large changes should be made in our squad... Zlatanov do u get paid for Maldini and other oldies keep playing? What's your problem, let people express their thoughts, leave us alone...
And enother thing, last year when we had Collochini, Anchelotti instead of trying to slowly integrate him in the squad prefered to let Costocurta play... So ofcause the poor guy left us, I mean wasn't it just stupid to let him go??? And for what???

Nevermind, Sash... there are conformist people here who accept almost anything, people who don't want the best for our beloved side.

That said, I disagree with you in only one aspect: Maldini belongs to another league, he cannot be compared with the other veterans.

Guys, the difference of opinion in such tough times is only normal. We as a team are going through a rough time (defienlty not tougher than 97 & 98 where my beloved milan was ripped apart). Rough times will only bring out the differences between members some might be more aggresive than others, it might be their nature, and they don't mean to diss that person personally. and another thing that happens when a team goes through a rough time is attacking the old gaurd of players ( after 98 people were asking that Maldini, billy, and deme to be let go).

So in concolusion:

as long as milan is going through a tough time fans will turn against each other and the old gaurd of the players. So lets be alittle more patient with other fans and on the players. I could have never imagined winning the league the next year after 98)

So chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill people, we will get through it as we are the MIGHTY MILAN.

Logical thinking is something people like you never heard about, 'cause blind optimistic unrealism is always a synonim of lack of inteligence.
you are one of the last people here, who should use words like logic and intelligence. In none of your posts have you ever given any reasoning in support of why you think in a certain way. All you do is throw in random names you think Milan must buy and all those random names have in common is that they belong to famous players - this one single factor is more than enough for you to put them among your "must haves". You never seem to wonder if those players will fit into Serie A, Italy, or Milan's system at all - their being famous is all you need, all you care about. Apart from that all you know is complain, complain, and guess what - again complain, just in case there is still someone left, who hasn's had the hell annoyned out of him.
So, don't talk to me about logic and intelligence because obviously you can't even figure out the idea behind my posts if you are calling me "blindly unrealistic" or claim that I call for no squad changes at all to be made. If you can't figure out something so simple and obvious, then I guess you do have the right to say something like:
Logical thinking is something people like you never heard about, 'cause blind optimistic unrealism is always a synonim of lack of inteligence.
simply because you know all about it from a very intimate, personal experience

Sash, Gre-No-Li is way too fresh in this forum to remember you previous appearance here, but those who do remember you well, I am sure would all agree that you are a bit of an anti-Milan, pro-Sheva nutcase.
My problem with you? No, it's not for suggesting that Maldini should concider retiring, and it's not even the way you did it - as if he was some sort of sh1t-bag.
And I am sure you are not the only one here, who is well aware that certain players cant go on playing forever but when Milan clean-up suggestions come from a guy who doesn't support Milan but is only around because he is in love with his compatriot Sheva, well then I take these a bit personally, just as if they are coming from a Juve or an Inter fan.
Hope that sheds some light on things.

I'm beggining to think that you suffer from a very serious case of functional analphabetism, for God's sake!!! When I post a thread or a comment about a player that I would like to see playing for Milan, I ALWAYS point out the reasons for which I consider that the player will be useful for the club. Being correct or not, I'm ALWAYS looking for options and measures to improve our side, totally UNlike you, that adore the sheer pedestrian mediocrity that are now unfortunatelly characterising Milan. You're so stupid and frankly IDIOT that you cannot comprehend even simplest threads and posts, not only mine, but of everyone.

Guys, please calm things down, as this is getting far too personal. Avoid swearing too, I know it gets automatically censored, but its still unnacceptable to think its ok to swear.

Grenoli, please avoid personal attacks on other members, specifically calling them "stupid" and "idiots" and such.

About the match, I was disappointed in the result after we seemed to be getting on the right track lately. The side just seems to lack the discipline, organisation and consistency necessary to be able to win something great.

In the end, I still think its what I said a few weeks back in that I think we're missing a leader on the field.

Although the season has had some major setbacks, its not over and could result in something very successful, so no point in giving in yet!

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok..at some point this was a game thread..but anyway...back to the game..

Milan were unlucky in a sense, and very lucky in another. While we didnt score (unlucky) especially with the pile driver from Clarence, we were lucky not to lose, as Samp hit the post twice, and had other chances to score.

We conceded the goal for two reasons:
1) We gave the Samp attacker...Benazzoli..or whatever...waaaaay too much space. He had no one closing him down. Who was responsible: The midfield/defense.

2) Dida was sleeping.

So we lose more ground, (lets face it, we are fighting for 2nd place), rumors have started to gain momentum vs Carlo...and our milanmania members, predictably, are quarreling....ahh..back to 97 and 98...those were such goodyears.

Overall, I think I hold the players responsible for this loss...collectively, we didnt look like we wanted to win...Carlo is partly to blame, for not threatening to lynch some of our players in the locker-room at half time, and management for not bringing in some much needed reinforcements in the January window.

But, at the end of the day, we have to remember that Carlo does not govern Milanīs transfer policy. Berlu, Galliani and Braida do. If they are satisfied that the material that Carlo has to work with is AOK..then we can ***** and moan about it adinfinitum to no avail.

Who at times I feel sorry for is Carlo, who has to try to work with tools that he may not want to work with.

Anyhoo....such is life..it could be worse, and I am thankful it isnt.

But don't you think that Carlo could try to put some pressure on the board?

Carlo at this point, is probably putting the finishing touches on his resume...he will more likely than not be out of a job at the end of this season...to be concerned about putting pressure on the board.

Unless you havent noticed, Milan are not a very "public" club, in terms of the organisations inner workings. You never read about our coach asking for a player, or being upset that a player was brought in...he simply has no say in these matters.

The three stoogies, Berlu, Galliani and Braida are the ones responsible, but of course, Galliani, but moreso Berlu has the final say..and if he says: "Iīm not spending any more of my money on new players for this season"...then..thats that. End of story. Fin. Punto Final.

Carlo has never said, I asked Milan for such and such a player...because he cant, and therefore doesnt, but its not proclaimed, as everyone concerned with Milan wants no airing of dirty laundry, and Carlo doesnt want to seem impotent in that regard, in relation to his peers.

Barca to some extent was operating in a similar way, but of course, the perfect example is Madrid, where their president almost completely determines who is bought and sold (apart from Raul, who is untouchable, and if he places a player on the black-list, even if he is a favourite of the President, that player is sold..or so I read)..

The fact that Galliani (Berluīs mouthpiece...since so many here are naive and think otherwise) has stated that we are buying no one, (if one chooses to believe him) then we wont, no matter what Carlo does or says..and if for one second, he forgets himself, and complains to the media, he is unemployed, simple as that...look at what Berlu did with Capello...and look what Capello is capable of!!!

Carlo therefore cannot go to the board..(which is really Galliani) and ask for players when the board (aka Galliani) has said, no we are not bringing in any more players.

What about this is hard to understand? If you (and this is not directed at you per se GRE-NO-LI) want to support a club where the fans, media, or coach, (or all the above) makes the choices as to who comes and goes, then form your own, or follow Middlesborough, or Arsenal...at least Wenger gets (usually) who he wants...

wow i didn't see the game....but did dida really give up that bulsh!t goal?!? :v46: if i was seeing things then disregard this post. dida is always certain to give up a lame goal for us to loose or tie. we're blaming our defence too much, considering the source of the problem is our goalkeeper. i dont know why we didn't get abbiati back during january, and i have no idea why abbiati hasn't started ahead of dida. to all you who keep protecting dida, maybe this game told you that he's declining and if he keeps playing we're surely wont win anything.

It is not Dida's fault or the defence fault only. It is the whole team, who is missing something this year. If I knew what, would probably replace Ancelotti. I mean we cannot mention a Milan player this year, who have been convincing - even Sheva and Kaka has had their poor periods.
Samp played clever, and deserved their point - and at the moment there is not much to say... We just need to realize that Milan is not better than we are seeing currently. Sometime reality sucks!

I will tell you what Milan is missing in two words: Paolo Maldini.

And for those like Sash22 and Gre-no-li who will say he's old and needs to be replaced, I will another example from another great captain at a very important team.

Carles Puyol at Barcelona.

Xavi has been out with a broken knee... no problem. Eto'o out playing African cup. Others scoring the goals, 18 straight victories... but give Puyol one day of rest, and they conceed 4 goals at Zaragoza. He is back and they win 3-0.

and Maldini to Milan is even more than Puyol to Barca...

We need Maldini, and we need him healthy...

But otherwhise that's really a bad characteristic of ours, I guess... Berlusconi is in fact a very authoritarian man, a near fascist, and meanwhile that could strategically good in terms of rapid decisions and overall quickness of atitudes, it's also something bad in situations when you have to discuss measures to discover the best options to follow.
