What can we expect out of this game. Recently Milan's performance is very poor.. :dontkn: We must beat Treviso, otherwise I dont know what we gonna do with Bayern...or what Bayern is going to do with us...I believe we will win. Treviso is "the second in the table, but from the end"..with 14 points. Score should be at least 3-0.
Although after Palermo I m not sure in anything. :p157:

question for milan fans, does marco boriello still belong to milan, he was here two seasons and then just loaned out, he is not a bad player at all, if he is ours I hope we can get money or a player out of it. Mazoratti I believe is a solid squad player who could develop into a good player I hope we stay patient....forza milan :p017:

I dont know anything about Boriello actually...

We simply need to win this one with no problems. And it could be like that as we havent won in 3 last matches. So my prediction is 2-0 with sheva scoring twice and taking second place on all time goalscorers list in Milan( i think he needs 2 more....). AND its time too se Marek playing from the start with a freedom to go forward like he used to.

We are in a bad need of a soundfull win on the next
giornata, 'cause the squad are clearly on the verge of a very serious crisis of self confidence.

I can see a positive mood about this game around here. And that is a good sign! So are we gonna destroy Treviso? I need Sheva to score at least 3 and Kaka - 2. :510: (I play in Magic Campionato, and they are in my team. Next week it is gonna be playoff. The only guys who can make me go threw are Sheva and Kaka...the guy I am playing against has Trezege and Juve plays Parma at home. It is gonna be an easy game for them and Trezege definately gonna score many goals. Forza Sheva, forza Kaka!!!) :w163:

Borriello is still ours, but he has been in like 5 teams after Milan, and hasn't been starter anywhere, even Empoli or now Treviso... he never made that step that prospects need to make...

I noticed in the last 3 games of Milan that as soon as the ball close to our goal players start panicing... Maybe that shows that they are not self confident anymore? :dontkn:

start panicking and lose the ball? How's the ball possessions for the last few games?

Egoistka
07-02-2006, 21:30
ball possession in the last games was "not brilliant"...actually they panic when they see that someone from the opposite team can get a ball (theoritically) somewhere in our half. And what they do? Instead of trying to pass the ball and try to attack, they just quickly kick the ball out somewhere faaaaarrr...and opposite team gets it or its a throwing of opposite team. I didnt see it before in Milan's games. I call it panic and loss of self-confidance...

Egoistka has politely answered for me:

And I can add that always when see players needing to state that 'everything is fine, we will overcome', you could make no mistake: something terrible is near to come.

Fair enough.
I also think that the team might lack some confidence because of the difficult moment. Some individuals may lack confidence as well....ex,Dida.

To replay to Egoistika however, I have to dissagree with her point. Milan has only conceded 2 goals in the last 5 Seire A games (not counting the disaster at Palermo because it was a coppa game). Sampdoria and Roma were the teams to score. So this surely throws off the theory that they are shaky in front of their own goal because if they were........then we would concede more then 2 goals in 5 games (1 in the last 4).

Like I said however, I am not excluding the fact that the team may be lacking confidence, however i don't think Egoistika's example was a very good one to prove that.
Anyhow.......lets hope that the Trevizo game will put some confidence into those that need it. Whether it is players of fans. I for one...have to admit that I need it.

FORZA MILAN!

From acmilan.com
2/7/2006
GOALKEEPERS: Dida, Kalac.

DEFENDERS: Costacurta, Marzoratti, Nesta, Jankulovski, Simic, Stam.

MIDFIELDERS: Gattuso, Kaką, Pirlo, Rui Costa, Seedorf, Serginho, Vogel.

STRIKERS: Amoroso, Inzaghi, Gilardino, Shevchenko

Kaladze is banned one game so he is not in the squad. I am hoping for something different that we have seen......Dida,Simic,Stam,Nesta,Jankulovski,Gattuso,Pirlo,Seedorf,Rui Costa,Inzaghi,Shevchenko. I think Janku, Rui and Pippo should get a start.

Channel 4's predicted line up goes as following.....Dida; Stam, Nesta, Simic, Serginho; Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf; Kaka; Gilardino, Shevchenko

Coppa games also count, cause for self confidance it doesnt matter, whether you played bad in Coppa or in Seria A...They panic near the goal...I dont know why, maybe it is not connected to amount of considered goals. Thats just what i see. Kaladze puts the ball away, Nesta sometimes start panicing and looses the ball (or catch it with his hands :))...Sheva comes to help defenders quite often. Team is in trouble now, but I think it was just for a few games and now we recovered and gonna destroy Treviso, and after that Bayern Munich. :5schal:

Unfortunately, I still wno't succumb to this 'panic' theory and fortunately I'll have the chance to watch Milan vs. Treviso today (given the pplive works). Then we'll see.

I also beg to differ that when players say, 'we will overcome', trouble is coming. On what basis, again, do you make such statement? For the past few years, Milan has experienced their up and down (please don't tell me they have been doing well every single game during the past 4 years under the realm of Ancelotti). And most of the time, they say "we will overcome" and so far they have overcome. This is, perhaps as you described it, one of the most troubling seasons and you may well be right that players are in a crisis.

And finally, I of cousre understand that it's everyone's opinion to post here. But then surfers definitely won't be impressed unless you write a proposition with explanations. Substantial posts are one with high-quality statement + high-quality examples.

For instance, I can't post "F**k you mods" and say that "This is my opinion". Finally whether your friends agree with you add no credibility with the statement. My mum may well agree with me that I'm the smartest kid on the world, but 99/100 people will disagree with such proposition :(.

Laterz....

I am going to try to see the game today, but I am not sure if I will be able to see it.

Suffice it to say that this match should serve as a confidence booster, and what I want more than anything, is a clean sheet from Dida and Co.

Even if we tie, we need to stop haemorraging goals...though a tie IMO is unlikely...a win would allow us to move closer to (gasp..cant believe I am saying this)...Inter, who face a tricky tie with the Viola...(Unfortunately, I think they will win this one) and may drop a point or 3.

I look forward to Rui starting, along with Sheva and Pippo...but I can easily see Kaka and Gila being given the nod by Carlo.

FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!!

Lets win this emphatically, and put some pressure on Inter and Juve!!

yes, we have conceded only 2 goals in last few matches but we don not look secure in defence. And for the 100th time I have to say its not becouse of the defence but becouse of the DM and CM's. Not even counting the fact sheva, gila and kaka are not even thinking about working defensively as much as they can. Where is CAfu??

rossoneri2005
08-02-2006, 13:31
Well with Milan 14 points behind Juve, it's always gonna be looked at as being a crisis. I agree with the view that we have had our ups and downs in previous seasons, however in the games that have counted we have come up trumps. However this season we have lost pretty much all our games to top opposition (Inter, Fiorentina and Roma) for a number of reasons and are now stranded in 3rd. It'd be very optimistic to think we could catch Juve from here, but stranger things have happened, especially to us. Still stand by that linesman costing us dearly on that 2nd liverpool goal. :dontkn:

As for tonight surely we will collect three points in what you'd like to hope was at least a 3-0 victory. Will be looking for big performances from Pirlo and Gila who have been more than below par in recent weeks. Otherwise personally a sheva hat-trick would work well for me. :p017:

The goal: Seedorf loops a ball to Gila at the corner of PA, Gila chests the ball with his back towards the Treviso goal, then immediately passes it to Kaka, who's rushing into the PA and BANG - a ferocious ball, right into the side netting. Nice combo.

I am watching it on FujianTV on PPLive - (FJTV-sports), audio's crap but commentary is in Chinese anyway, so not much of a loss really; video is on the bad side even for P2P streaming but is still very much watchable.

Once you install the .exe file, you will get two icons on your desktop - one green and one blue. Double click the BLUE one - "PPLive TV Engine" and this will start Dling the cnahhel list. Righ-click, and you will see a menu, go to channel list, sports, and there is FJTV_sports. Run it from the PPLive Engine itself for very often http links take an eternity to load, and many never do.

Parma just scored :)

2 ways to load the chanel:
the way I used it
at the bottom icon "arrow", select "Chanel list", then "Sports", then "FJTV...", then hit Play View and wait.

Couldn't see - missed that moment but no one from us is injured, so don't worry.

Great chance missed by Vogel - Gattuso crosses a low ball from the right wing to Gila, he stops the ball and gives a nimble pass to Vogel who's rushing into the Treviso PA and shoots but keeper saves.

Just now another great chance - Seedorf crosses from left, and Sheva hits the side post with a header; keeper completely beaten.

"Ibrahimovich" muslim??? Almost all the serbians have "ich" in the end (Mijatovich, Mihailovich, Vukich...) and "Ibrahim" is more hebrew than muslim, many names come from the bible (David, Ruth and such) so maybe "Ibrahimovich" it's just another one...
I think "Ibrahim" comes from hebrew "Abrahm", but can't be 100 per sure...

Nice juggling in front of the box by number 22 (i think) a trough-ball attempt towards Gila deflected in the Sheva's path, who fights with 1 defender, 2nd i think, and scores on the collision with all 3 goalie included.

Long strike by Sheva, wide.

Description of goal:

Kaka traps a ball neatly on the chest, pivots, flicks the ball, waist height round a defender, sends a thru ball into the box which takes a lucky deflection off a Trevisio defender, to Sheva, who outmuscles his defender to slot the ball past the keeper at the near post.

Brilliant finish

Yeah, these links suck at times. here is a link to a forum (needs registration but it's not problem) where all these P2P streaming programs installer files - PPlive is just one of many - are hosted on faster servers. The link is direct but first you'll need to register. After that you'll see a list of P2P programs, look for PPLive and get the link saying: Download 1.1.0.7 CN

Very bad display by Milan in the first half, with no idea how to attack this Treviso team. We created not much against a team like Treviso. Second half was definitly better from Milan, players came out with a will to win and score goal and thats what they did. Overall good display by Milan team against the small Treviso. Kaka and Sheva scored great goals, Vogel did play bad at all given the fact that he doesn't play much which gives some rest to Pirlo. Jankulovski come on too late, Ancelotti needs to give more time to Jankulovski.

I am correcting myself, just looked it up at sheva7.com.
One can see video's clips of Sheva's goals (tomorrow will be able to see today's goals).

"It is one of Sheva's favorite shots. Remember Sheva's curled powerfull drive into Inter's at CL last year and one more this year when a goalie never even expected that left-footer?
How can you let him move freely with the ball at closer than 25 meters,
his strike distance is probably more like 30-35 meters."

The other game was Cagliari on 10/16/2005.

Anybody, please tell me, since it was hard to catch on e-streaming video,

where did the 2nd Sheva's strike hit? Top left corner or not?

Some unsubstantiated info about Sheva:
A. I heard that Sheva has had the most uniform (even) distribution of his goals with respect to left-, right-foot and headers among all Serie A scorers.

B. This is a rumor from Kiev. Sometime ago ... before his 99's move to Italy,
The assistant coach, Sabo, of Dynamo Kiev commented on Sheva's "physic" (physical abilities) that when Sheva was slightly "out-of-shape" his performance measured in some number ( time on the 100m sprint+ time on 5 km + time on the sprint +...)
was always higher than the best numbers for all other players in the ukrainian leaugue and that was well above the fitness requirement of the team.

Cagliari's goalie was much surprised too when Sheva unleased that drive from like 27-30 yards without turning his head to look at the goals.
How do they NOT get ready when Sheva has the ball in front of the box?

it's just against Human's intuition that he can shoot from even the slightest angle.
Just like Marco van Basten? I am recalling the USSR-Holland Euro final of 1988.
I used to despise Marco for taking away the golden boot award from Dnepr's Protasov in 1985, 37 vs 35 goals, until I saw one Marco's goal for Ajax. What a mind-boggling bicycle strike in the top corner! The ball was at about 180-200 cm (6-7 feet) off the ground after a cross when it was hit.

On the personal note, disclaimer:
One of those rare days for me when I stayed home (sick - scr.w this flu).

while Sheva was about the same (shouldve had a hat-trick).

Seedorf = 8
Kaka = 8.5

Who do you think was better or close than these 4 players?

Sheva is gonna get more points...he scored 2 goals...so it is usually about 11, Gila is gonna get - 9.5, Kaka for goal and assist - 10..I dont know for sure, but smth about that. Tomorrow will know precise figures..will post them here.
Good performance after all...we, fans, deserved it. After this game I am getting hope that we can win against Bayern with a good score...

Egoistka, please take a look at the way media does the ratings... like Gazzetta dello Sport, Tuttosport, Il Giornale, etc.

An average performance is usually a 6... a very very poor, is like a 4.5... a great one, an 8...

I've never seen anything higher than 8.5...

It happens, in Gazzetta..if you look for medium points...Toni was 13.5 once..then he wasnt score for a while and went down..but it did happen. (Are you by any chance just contrudicting every my opinion?) :devf:
They count it this way: general performance with no goals from 6 is OK, plus every goal you score + 3 points, every assist +1 point, yellow card -1 point, red card -3 points....Maybe we are talking about different statistics, my one goes from Gazzetta Dello Sport (www.gazzetta.it)...I take all my statistics from there. It is fair I think: score, assist - get extra points, ammonition - take away some points...

haha, no dear, not fighting with you... but I just found some of your comments somewhat naive... and some others very good...

If you can find me that 13.5, I'll do whatever you ask... I'll become your slave...

Really?? My slave??? WOW...unfortunately as i said it was few weeks ago and you cannot get that statistic back...it changes after every game...It was when Toni scored 2, 3 goals every game (crazy guy!!!)..Now his medium is still the highest 9.48...but cause he didnt score for a month or smth like that his points went down. I follow this statistic a lot, coz i play Magic campionato and Toni is in my team. So it cant be a mistake...His points after some games riched 17!!! Trezeget also got 17 once I m telling you, there is a special way of counting...it is possible. Not for defenders and goalkeepers though...they usually dont get more than 8.

So which of my opinions were naiv? Interesting... :nail:

Egoistika....you are probably talking about something different. Some kind of points. I really don't know about what kind of points you are talking about but I am sure that Saint is talking about something different.
Saint is talking about the game ratings which usually come out on the official site the next day. Those ratings dont usually go higher then 8.

Possibly...if they dont go higher than 8 - it is not interesting..I like when there is a possibility to get many points, increasing with amount of goals you ve scored...that shows players performance much better..My opinion...

Unfortunatelly I did not watched the game. Well, it seems that our performance was pretty fine, and that's great for the self confidence of the squad. Treviso is not exactly a powerful adversary, but nevertheless that victory can serve as build up against Bayern.

A curiosity:

Gazzetta dello Sport never gave grade 10 to a player, is that it?

SANT

I've never ever ever seen anything above an 8.5 (and I may have seen that once)

I remember Kaka' getting an 8 in a game, his first season at Milan... but really, outstanding performances rarely go over 7 or 7.5

I guess Savicevic received a 9 for his outstanding performance on the wonderful 4 x 0 CL Final against Barcelona, but I'm not sure of that.

I read an interesting article in Chinese today that when Janku subs Simic, Janku did not play as a RB but a RM. this is surprising, so who got the RB role?

Answer: Gattuso.

Some stats. are provided by the website but I'm not going to bother here. All I'm saying here is that Ancelotti may well be looking for solution for the team.

Your opinion...But as I said: Kaka 10,5, Sheva 13,5. Here it is...look it is from Gazzetta, my private area. This is my team(...Yesterday it was 1/16, I am threw to next round (thx Sheva and Kaka)..Its 1/8 now...If I win it...IF..the prizes are really great (a car, Alfa Romeo it was last year). Dont see anything naiv in that by the way...you score goal you get additional points - makes sense.

I thought I saw Rino out of position on the Rt flank...seemed to work...and if we have Vogel making the tackles, and the other midfielders (ie Kaka and Seedorf) also tracking back..we may have a viable new option!

Didnt know you read Chinese Jeff! Wow! Though we have had our "disagreements" over the past year or so, I have to admit I now look at you with newfound respect...Chinese! Wow! Thats knowledge of not only the language (from a verbal perspective) but an understanding of the writing (caligraphy..my spelling sucks)! Amazing!! :D

I'm from China, and I'm not ABC or CBC or whatever-BC :) so I do know how to read chinese.

I haven't been active here because of one reason, of course. But also I don't have much time to spare and watch Milan play. But with pplive, everything now is possible. Tutto e` possibile.

And, my caligraphy sucks -.-! I don't have much patience, but yes, at least I know what the he!! it is :)

well glad that Milan won 5-0 so milan players can trust themself
again I wish we won to lazio by this number of goals so sad this win will not
be importnat since we already lose scudetoo, we lose scudetoo when we lose to Roma
Glad inzaghi scored since that would motivate him when milan play in champion league
