Well.. Puyol is know also as one of the best centre n right back in the game but he is almost impossible for him to leave Barca just as Maldini to us. But if he do wish i do believe almost all Milan fan would like to accept him open handed. Here is some thing interesing that he said :

FC Barcelona Captain Carles Puyol will find himself facing one of the few teams that he’d consider playing for if he can’t fulfil his wish to retire at Barça – AC Milan. In a recent interview, Puyol mentioned that he’d always felt a special inclination for the Rossoneri club, and is looking forward to the clash with zeal.

"It’s a special tie for me because I’ve made no secret of the fact that outside Barcelona, Milan is a team I have a feel for, although that feeling is hard to compare to what I feel for Barça. If I had to leave Barcelona, I wouldn’t play for another Spanish team, and Milan would be a very tempting option", he told Spanish paper ‘Marca’.

"My plan is still to hang my boots up here at Barcelona", Puyol hastily added before going to cite his main references in defending as Maldini, Nesta and Costacurta. "They’re amongst the best in the world and I’ve learnt a lot just from watching them". As to who goes through; “It’s 50/50, but we’ve got a slight advantage because we play the second leg at home.”

he was available 2 seasons ago for 6m but it is hugely unlikely that he is now, especially for anything less than double that.

:( god, that would have been an awesome signing.

Can see absolutely no reason why barca would let him go, especially considering that he is their captain. i think that he is only worth it if bought at the right price. i rate him highly, but not to the extent that we should break the bank to sign him. personally, i think that he's quite error-prone and i would rather opt for a young italian defender with serie a experience.

It would be like us selling Maldini or Real Madrid selling Raul theres no chance!
