View Full Version : Juventus Take Scudetto ????
After week 34 with 4 games left to play the points difference between Juve and Milan is just 5 points.
Lets look on the next games of Juve and Milan
Juve :
W 35 : Juve - Lazio
W 36 : Siena - Juve
W 37 : Juve - Palermo
W 38 : Reggina - Juve
Milan :
W 35 : Messina - Milan
W 36 : Milan - Livorno
W 37 : Parma - Milan
W 38 : Milan - Roma
Looks like that our games are tougher than the Old Lady...although they were now in "bad situation" never win in the last ...?... games.
Mathematically, Milan can still win the scudetto if Juve loss 2 times or loss 1 and draw 2 times??
But...as Carletto said...let us now focus on Barca..and then think about Messina later....
This is a good sign from the Allenatore and Maldini is also never give up the scidetto race....
I believe in what Il Capitano had said.....MILAN NEVER GIVE THING>>>>>>>Who ever think that we could score 2 goals in 5 minutes against Lyon at the quarter final?????
I ALWAYS BELIEVE IN THE RED AND BLACK SUPREME SPIRIT AS ALWAYS !!!!!!!
good post...
the hope is not just mathematically there, but quite realistic too. as long as juventus lose 1 and draw 1, then the gap of 5 points is gone, and according to head-to-head score (new rule brought in since this season), we could win the championships if we get a full 12 points. as juventus will play lazio and palermo, I would say that it is not entirely impossible. should that happen, I will be very happy. Juventus is a good team, but we are simply better. we get favorable calls from the referees, but Juventus do that ALL THE TIME. to be fair, we deserve more than them the scudetto.
the key battle is them playing lazio next week. Lazio always help us out against juventus while they could. if juventus don't drop any points against lazio, I will say that the race is over, and we won't have any hope against them. If Lazio draws, or even sweeter, a win, then the campaign will be wide opened up again. Juventus haven't won in the last 6 games and scored only 3, that included two against Arsenal though. In Serie A, in the last 6 games, they won 1, draw 5. I don't see any reason that they won't drop more. Lazio and Palermo will be our only hope, and Siena is just Juventus' b!tch so that three points are already in Juventus' pocket.
SOMEHOW I fear that Juventus won't lose any game, the best situation is that they win 2 and draw 2, finally winning the scudetto with at least one more point than us. If so, that old son of gun Cannavaro's goal today, well, together with many of Juventus' lucky goals (yeah right, :yuck: ) could be the decider.
But we shall see, and we should not give up our hope. BUT, here it is a big BUT, should Juventus win next week against Lazio, that could be blessing in disguise for us, as we can completely forget about the domestic trophy and truly, completely, absolutely, with no reservation, focus on European campaign, which we always do better, value higher, and be prouder of. In many fans' opinion, including mine, an European title is ten times better than an Italian title, let alone those tainted ones. The referees probably won't sit there calmly seeing Juventus overtaken anyway.
We (here by "we", I mean Ancelotti and co.) shouldn't keep our hope too high on that, as it brings high disappointment if we fail to topple Juventus; it is not worth it, especially if at the cost of our European efforts. We all know how the morale/motivation factors work in an important football game, and we should definitely try to avoid that. We should consider the Scudetto lost, no hope left, dead-on dead. Take each and every coming game easily. We can win even without our 100% efforts, so let's do it. Take it easy and let ourselves be surprised when the full season is finished, who knows. :)
Forget about the Scudetto and we may get the European Cup, if we are extremely lucky, we may get both. If we are tantalized and restless, we may have to experience the huge disappointment like last season. And we don't want to do that. Ancelotti and Galliani are so far smart enough to cool down the heat, and I hope our players agree with them and carry out the (only) right strategy. :star:
Forza Milan!!!
the next 3 games would be very important as juve have to play lazio who they got a very good chance of dropping points and also palermo who is going to give them a good fight. while milan should get all the points for the next 3 games comfortably. if the difference can be cut to 2 points before the last game then i am still very hopeful that we can snatch the title. i won't be upset if we didn't get the title though, i just hope to see milan playing well which is the most important for me.

If we win the CL who cares about the scudetto
Then again that is a big fat IF.
With the current juve form, we still have a chance of winning it.
For now let just dream
I'm not sure that we have more tough matches, how can u say that? I still think it's possible to win Scudetto, and another very importang thing is that the fourth place should be sealed before the last period. That way Roma may let us win without a fight, cause I got this little feeling that they have Juve not less than we do.
Btw Siena is fighting for survival and to be relegated to the serie b, so they should give 100 per against juve.
Btw Siena is fighting for survival and to be relegated to the serie b, so they should give 100 per against juve.
Now I recall when we played Reggina....
A team with high determination to attack till the end....So, Juve will have to fight till the end of the season...Just hope Lazio keep on their winning streak...and their next victim would be the Zebras...ha...ha...ha...
If so..then....lets cross our fingers for our Milan....
Scudetto on the left hand and CL Trophy on the right hand of Il Capitano Paolo Maldini in May 2006...the next Saint and Legend of I Rossoneri......
Well... I'm going to make a daring guess. We will win the Scudetto and hopefully the CL as well. As long as the possibility remains that we can catch up with Juve, I will always keep faith in this idea. For over a month now, Juve's has been in a very bad streak compared to Milan who have conceded only 1 loss since 15 January 2006. I like to go on trends and momentum and AC Milan has all the momentum going. Our only hope is for them to not give the momentum up. If they keep this winning streak in Serie A and give all their heart out in the CL, this is well within all possibility. What say you all.
i still think we have a good shot at it, on paper it seems they have easier games, but lazio are fighting for a place in the UEFA cup, siena are fighting relegation and at home they are harder to beat, same goes to reggina who i hate to play at home, as for palermo not sure if theyre fighting for anything but playing them is always a tough game. we have the hard games at home which is a big advantage for us, this is where our non-starting players should step up, the team is tired, we only have a maximum of 7 games left for the end of the season, we cant keep on fielding the same team throughout those games i think carlo learned that from last season, this season players like vogel, pippo/gila, rui ... etc have all stepped up + we have key players back from injury in cafu, maldini ambro and stam now
lets pray!!
FORZA MILAN!

Cmon, unlikely cause we have Roma as our last match, but f*c* Juve, no offense Juventinos... Forza Milan
On paper, only Roma seems to be our top opposition. That match will be 3 days before the CL final which we will hopefully get to, so imagine what a week that will be if we can still catch Juve. Bur don't forget, in our schedule Messina will be fighting to avoid relegation, Livorno could be fighting for a UEFA cup spot and Roma will be fighting for the final Champions League place. So our schedule is not easy either.
For Juve Lazio is never easy to beat, Siena will still try to get points to stay above the drop zone, Palermo could be looking for that final UEFA cup spot and are always tough opposition, and the match against Reggina is on the road.
So our remaining schedule and Juve's are both difficult. Juve is on a very cold streak and will hopefully lose or draw several more of their matches. But I see them drawing two and winning two and us taking full points from the rest of the matches. That means we would've lost the Scudetto by a measly goal. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the Lecce loss will come back to haunt us.

well.... have a strong confident is good but for me Roma match will be a decider i think.. and roma is quite strong side. But Milan usually will win a after a defeat in first league.
every match could be a decider, not only Roma match. For me, these 4 matches may prove to be decisive :
1. Milan-Barcelona -
the result of this match will make the squad for Messina match. If we win by 1 or if we draw agains Barcelona, then noone will think about Messina.
2. Messina-Milan
Don't forget that this is by far the most important match for Messina this season. If we don't make a good win against Barca, then motivation will be by far on Messina's side. Yes, even our second team is 3 times better than Messina---but so was against Lecce also
3. Juventus-Lazio
It will be played at the same time as Messina-Milan, so no calculations here. If we cut the gap to 3 points then Scudetto is way opened, if the gap is 5 again then other matches will be decisive, and if the gap is 7 or 8 then it's 99.99% over.
Refs will be with Juve here and the bad news for us is that Trezeguet, Emerson and Thuram will be back and Juve will have full team after a long time, but knowing that Lazio is, at the moment, much better than Juve, then there is a big possibility for a draw !
4. Barcelona- Milan
If we get eliminated then it will be hard to concentrate on the Scudetto.
And just another thing :noone mentioned Parma. They really aren't going for anything now, but they were safe before last 2 rounds also, and still they made 2 great wins.
Well, we depend on Juve's results and it's our fault we let this happened. The last time they didn't have a win in 5 matches in a row was back in 2000, so history is not with us ----- but we can hope, can't we :)

A game with Nazio is gonna be tough for Juve...Also last game they draw with Cagliari. Siena has 2 points more than Cagliari, so the possibility of draw again is very high. Palermo is 8th now, having 10 points more than Siena..a possibility of draw or loss is very high. And finally a game with Reggina, which has 2 points more than Siena..draw is also possible. In this case, if Milan wins all four games the possibility of scudetto going to milan is very high....:) I m today very optimistic, am I not?! :)
I think we need to play footbal and try and win all our games and if that hppens and juve drop points becuse of the pressure.. the injuries and the crap form theyre in then hey good for Milan... but then Capello knows how to get through... its now Capello vs Ancelotti more than milan vs juve...

I think the game vs Messina is the most difficult of the remaining Serie A encounters, at least from a psychological point of view. Before, during, and after that game everyone will have their mind focused on the Barca game and it would be next to impossible to readjust that focus on Messina given that we have to overcome a deficit of 1 away goal vs Barcelona ... a task that will require the utmost dedication and concentration of the squad.
This, IMO, will make the game vs Messina very, very tricky and it may turn out to be a trap that we will fall into - something like the Lecce game, only much worse.
Should we go through in the CL, I would expect the other games to be "easier" as the squad will be serene and spirits would be high.

we can win this scudetto with juves decreasing quality we can go two points in front if juve draw there remaining matches. we need to concentrate tho if we won the scudetto we would also silence the critics from the begining of the season saying 'milan are too old and wont win anything'
I just posted such on another thread we can do it. Im feeling 1999 all over again. Roma in the siro on the final day is touch but we can do this people.
As I have always said from being 10+ points behind, this race was never over.

We have to win all three games is very essential for the title and we can!
Juve is sinking every day that passes, today Ibrahimovic and Viera had a fight in the middle of practice! They are breaking apart as a team and their strong point is their physical strength! That has slowed a lot and their are not a tactical team! This makes them exposed to any team thats why they havent won in 5 matches!
This sunday they plau in Siena, diffiicult field (place to win) and the Siena president said "We are not tkaing anything for granted, we will play for points" Siena might risk for falling in Seria B so they need points!
If Juve lose or get a tie in Siena they will lose the title! Next game they with Palermo and Palermo will be the same as Lazio! The last game is a guranteed that they will lose in Reggina, Juve have always struggled there and last year it was theit first defeat! It is guaranteed that in Reggina the highest they can get is a tie!
It doesnt matter how many points they are infront, if they have a lot of problems inside thats all it takes to lose everything not just in 3 games but also in the last game
Also remember Perugia 2000, when Juve lost in last game when everyone thought it was impossible and Lazion won the title :)
Sorry, but nothing is football is a 'guarantee.' There is absolutely no guarantee that Juve will drop points in any of their remaning matches, and there is no guarantee that we will get 9 out of a possible 9 points.
But, I am optimitsic, and hope we will overtake Juve in the last game of the season. :D

if we win the scudetti in the last game then it will be much much entertaining the cl, coz we are used to cl, 4 semis in 4 years, its truly in our dna! also the last game is gonna be against roma which will be another cracker considering totti will be returning to the side!
[/B]FORZAAAA MILAN !!!

i had the similar feeling before the barca games and yea we got it! unfortunately this time its not in our hands and you can't expect such a big team like juve to stumble even if they have problems. at the end they have amazing players along with a smart coach!
