View Full Version : Should we go for Adriano this summer?

He seems to be very unhappy at Inter, and I'm sure he'd like to play for a successful club. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a transfer request this summer, and I would love to see him and Sheva pair up for us.

sant u need to relax a bit more...

as for the thread, id love to see adriano here... with all my heart, hes my dream partner for sheva, ive wanted this ever since his days at fiorentina... i cant think of a better partnership in the history of the game, the two most complete strikers in football for a long time now, they can both head the ball, sheva is great with both feet, adriano has the best left foot in the game IMO, sheva's speed, adrianos power and control.... can u really imagine how much havoc they can do together??

but then again, theylle never sell him to us... and even if they did, what we spend on him will mean we have to sacrifice funds for defenders

I'm taking a deep breath, dude :5drunk: ...

Benito Floro from Real Madrid commented to Spanish media that their targets for the transfer market are defined: Adriano from Inter, and Gerrard from Liverpool.

Well Andriano is a powerful stricker and will make a best partnership with sheva or Gila. He is young too. He kaka n gilardino will be some of the best young player in a team that can be success for many many years to come. Both ex parma player can score a lot of goals again with good supporter in kaka. I wish that if he come he can follow the foorstep of Pirlo n seedorf in terms of success.(long term)

Maybe the Inter squad do have a lots of problem that make a player like andriano struggle a lot. Beside that there is also interest of big club in europe.Andriano will not come cheap n i remember inter stated that they will reject a 100 million bet from chelsea. Beside that inter will sure prefer to sell to other team outside italy further more that milan .

Below is an news from www.goal.com regarding andrino .

Adriano's Inter Farewell Blast? Brazilian super-striker Adriano used new media channel ‘UOL Esporte’ to launch an incredible attack on his club side Inter.

Adriano, whose last six months at the club have been close to disastrous, had this to say about the team’s management.

“The club did not defend me on the press in my moment of difficulty, and I consider this as a lack of respect,” he amazingly revealed before hurling an extra-punch at what might be his former team in a months time.

“When the team wasn’t going well while I was in shape they asked me to speak well of the team, and I obeyed. Now that the contrary is happening, nobody has come to my defense,” he added.

The thoughts expressed by Adriano can be considered as the last of a series of incidents that indicate he is set to leave the club.

Just two weeks ago, in the wake of Inter’s Viallreal fiasco, Italian newspaper reports indicated the Nerazzurri's Argentine clan spear-headed by Veron and J. Zanetti believed Adriano was not giving his best for the Inter cause, with the situation culminating during the halftime break in the Madrigal when Veron apparently put his hands around Adriano’s neck.

sorry, i think sheva-adriano is scarier... theyre both complete all round players, and as much as i have come to appreciate henry's style this season, i think there are areas where he can be weak, and besides its no guarentee that he would fit in with the serieA while adriano has proven he can.

adriano has: the power of a bull, an amazing left foot thats second to none, a humble personality which suits our system (and hes brazilian), a killer instict, can run with the ball even better than sheva can, can create his own goals, he can head the ball, hes pretty fast and skillful for a player his size... and when u have a similar player in sheva i doubt they can be stopped from scoring atleast once per game especially with kaka behind them. who would u mark really?? u cant leave sheva alone, u cant leave adriano alone and u cant leave kaka alone... very much similar to barca's style (ronaldinho, etoo and messi)

ok adriano is fast strong and good but he is infected with the interisti virus which oda players like seedorf, simic and pirlo were not!. also he will booed alot in serie a coz he is an important player of inter. if we wud have got him bfore inter did then the story wud have been different!

i dont understand what difference is there between adriano and the players u mentioned?? interisti virus?? are u telling me he would mess up with us?... if anything i think hed easily gel into our system, hes really good friends with dida, and with the brazilian contigent here... he is used to the city already, we all know what hes capable of, im sure the fans would love him, if he comes he would never leave im telling u!... chances are that hed do well, probably better than what he did at inter in his prime

Well, it's a nice thing to dream a bit of getting Adriano but such a transfer would be next to impossible. And the main reason for me saying that isn't the loads and loads of money he would cost us but the fact that Milan is the last club Inter will ever sell him to. And with high-paying Real and Chelski in line for his services, it makes from an almost impossible transfer a truely impossible one.

Adriano in Milan.
Thats will happen as long as Berlu wants it to happen.

Personally, I don't care what Real and Chelsea do, since if Berlu wants someone, he will get him.

Plain and simple.

The fact that Inter will not sell Adriano to us is nonsense, since it is the player's decision at the end and not the club. As long as Adriano wants to come to Milan, Inter will sell him. IF Berlu really wants Adriano, then I bet that Adriano will want to come to Milan more than Chelsea and Real, since he does not need to move to another city, the Brazilian connection, playing at a winning club, and most of all, a club that respects its players.

in a perfect world that would be true. Let's not diminish Inter's role here because Adriano's whims is not the only factor here. Inter will never - due to history and fear of what the fans might do - sell a young star like the Brazilian to us. And once his back hits the wall, Real M and Chelski will look like excellent options for greener pastures, and they are in fact exactly that.
We may have done some lucrative business with Inter but that involved players they didn't want anyway and counted them for dead-end streets. In Adriano's case we are talking about the most "in-demand" young player, after Dinho maybe, in all of Europe. Inter directors won't dare sell him to Milan in fear of all the mess they would create by doing that.

I doubt this can happens, I would suggest that it is more possible Adriano goes to RM, not Chelsea considering that a sucessfull move can only happens with the content of all 3 equally important parties: the selling club, the buying one and of cause the player. If this is the case that RM will not buy Henry which we should go for. Personally I prefer Henry to partner Sheva and he can partner Gila too, I can not imagine Adriano partners Gila, how we play ?

i read that Adriano doesnt like veron very much, i wonder if that has anything to do with the way he treats Kaka... Adriano and kaka are good friends apparently....

the only way adriano would come to milan is if he ripped up his contract and walked out on inter... i would prefer him over ronaldo, henry....

Veron and Adriano hate each other because they both play for Inter a club that the owner wants to sell, the players struggle for power and the fans attack the player, the club and other fans. The is INTER, INTERnal problems. Nothing to do with Kaka.

I think it is possible, and I wont rule it out. I'd happily swap Gila with Adriano, but we obviously will not give Gila away. There is a huge chance Adriano will leave, and he has always spoken of his desire to the city Milan and how much he loves it. Maybe all he needs to do is make new friends at a new club ;) I know that Berlusconi has more money than Moratti, and i've seen Moratti spend SO MUCH over the past seasons, and we havent spent much recently. I dont see this as an impossible transfer but an unlikely one. No one expected Vieri here did they?

As MK said, the money this would cost would mean no defensive improvements for another year  First rule of any successful side is to provide a solid defensive base, then the attackers can do their stuff safe in the knowledge the team wont concede every time they lose the ball! Real Madrid forgot this, Berlu surely wont.

I don't know, I had a lot of hopes for Janku but ... And I am not sure it would be any dif next year either, I mean he's had a lot of time to get fit since that injury but I guess he could never get Carlo to trust him enough for a 1st team spot.
The main reason why I want Manncini is that with Stam and maybe even Cafu leaving, we don't have players who can run up and down that right flank. On the left we have Sergio, Seedorf, and as K77 suggested, we could get Solari for very little money if not on a free transfer as Inter will profit from not paying his wages. Plus, Mancini is 3-4 years younger than Janku and that shouldn't be overlooked at all.

well, to be fair with other players like Vogel or Simic or Ambro who don't play much more often than janku, they did make the most of the chance they were given. I personally feel much more comfortable with any of those 3 in the team than with Janku in it.
I know what you mean about getting him back to his best but maybe his underachieving has nothing to do with that injury, maybe he just isn't mentally tough enough for a team like Milan where you play at the highest level under enormous pressure day in and day out. And at a club like Milan you can't expect to always be a starter but you should make the most out of every single chance you are granted. maybe janku isn't mentally tough enough and not being regular affects his confedence a bit too much, and that's not the type of player Milan can rely on.
As for mancini, unlike janku, he has been part of a team with the mentality of champions - Roma under capello - and has shown that he can handle the pressure of such an environment. That's another reason why I would prefer Mancini over Diana for instance. Diana is a great player but, like janku, he has never played for a team that fights for the championship and you can never be sure how he would handle playing for Milan.
Basically, my point is that there are players who are only good when you don't expect much of them but once they come to a club like Milan, they start underperforming due to the sky-high expectations, and maybe Janku is one of those players.

mk18
21-04-2006, 15:37
janku featured ffaaaaaaaaaaaaaar faaaaaaaaar less than vogel or simic did this season, he hardly started... plus u dont shake off an injury just by training, nor with 5 mins every 10 games... why didnt he feature vs lecce?? ascoli... those games where starters were rested?? ... besides, vogel and simic played back to back games... janku played 5 mins every 10 games...

im expecting him to start from scratch during pre season, and hopefully all goes well..

mancini would cost how much?? 15M??? ... no thanks id rather stick with janku

zlatanov
21-04-2006, 15:55
I can't agree with you on Vogel or Simic getting more chances than Janku, epecially in the first half of the season. If they did in the second half of the season, it was namely because thay had managed to convince Carlo that he can rely on them. Also, didn't Janku start vs lecce? Not that will make any dif but I though he did play vs Lecce and more or less disappointed.
It's true that Janku needs playing time to kick into gear but it's not like he hasn't been given any, although mostly in coppa Italia. Problem is that he never showed any improvement from one game to the next and even people here who were calling for him to be used more often, started to feel disappointed and frustrated with his lack of impact and improvement.
As for Mancini, I am guessing he would be like 10-15mil (~12, I think) but if we include Janku in that deal, we would have to pay ~6-7 of that sum. Janku is still an important player at a good age (29) plus Spalletti knows him very, very well and is a great fan of his from their Udinese days.
If we are gonna be selling Janku, this is probably the best moment to do so otherwise he would lose more and more of his value by rotting on our bench.

Unless it's for a season long loan, releasing Jankulovski would be a mistake. Before he was injured he was one of the best midfielders in the league, cast your mind back to his last season for Udinese and the majority of people in here were raving him about him. I don't agree that he is not mentally tough enough either, he's already expressed his desire to fight for a place in the team which is a good start. He's not prepared to sit on the sidelines, he wants a starting place. When he's in full flight, he could easily take Seedorf's place, he's defensive enough and energetic enough for the tackling back side of things (something the Seedorf clearly isn't) and he's capable of getting out wide and putting in good crosses (something that is extremely hit and miss with Seedorf, one good one and then two bad ones).

Mancini, i can see some possibilities with, but anyone who realistically thinks that he can play right-back needs to wake up. He's no where near tough enough to play either right-back or right-mid. The only 2 roles he could take with us would be Kaka's (who's defensive work has been severly lacking of late also) and as a support striker.

I agree Kaka doesn't defend much.. but it seems to me that he's been told not to use up his energy defending, because he doesn't do it on the Brazilian NT either. I believe the coaches are the ones telling him not to go tackling players incase he gets injured or something
