what makes ur players ideal for milan?? that theyre young??? what makes u think they would succeed here???

i bet maybe only one would be able to hold down a starting spot and add sometihng new to the team or make it better... and that itself is not a certainty infact...

1. Ballack - Thought he would be perfect for the Milan midfield ashame Chelsea are on the verge of singing him.

I also would love to see Diarra at Milan but i do not think we are favorites to get him: i believe Man Utd really want him and are keeping a real good eye on him i think they will sign Diarra as they are willing to pay around the 23 Million price tag

diarra is the best DM in the world today... maybe makelele has more experience, but diarra is going to be the next makelele or desailly IMO, if he goes to man utd, he just kills his hopes of becoming a legend which he is perfectly capable of i believe, unless offcourse they start to play better because of his presence which is sitll unlikely...

his place is at milan, both are made for each other.

perfect players :

Oddo for Cafu
Gallas for Kaladze
Diarra for Pirlo
Joaquim for Sedorf (8 playing on the right, rino on the left)

I know its a bit cruel to the current player, but this is the best possible solution for us. I know it will not happen, but.lets dream a bit.

More like Gallas for Maldini, San Paolo only has a year left at best :( and Kaladze is perfectly capable of performing in the other central defender role. But I agree about all the transfers you said, mrki, if we got all those players...
We would win everything!

My take on this:
Reveilliere, Gallas in defence (Stam leaves for sure, Cafu and/or Simic may follow)
Mancini, Bresciano/Fiore in midfield (Rui goes to benfica or retires, Janku seems likely to be loaned or sold to Roma)
Crespo/Tavano/Suazo/Chevanton or better yet Kuijt (unlikely as he would cost us) in for Amoroso
I think the above transfers are more or less realistic and shouldn't break the bank. Also we might have to start thinking for a younger GK for the future and bring in Amelia (I don't want Abiatti, he would be better off to Roma, IMO).
One other thing that concerns me is that we have mostly left-sided CD - Kakha, Maldini, and even Gallas should he come. With Stam leaving and maybe even Simic following, the only ones who are suited for the right CD role are Nesta and Costacurta. A player like Barzagli would come in handy but that wuld be pushing it, I guess :(.

and even Gallas should he come.

When Gallas plays Centre back for Chelsea he usually plays on the right of the 2 with John Terry in the left central position. He is also predominantly right footed and a very good right back when needed there, its just that with Del Horno's dodgy form and Bridge's constant injuries (and loan to Fulham until he regains match fitness) Chelsea have needed him to cover Left back for much of the season.

do you think that only milan players can be superstars and legends??!! if so then there is something wrong with you... why cant he become legend of manchester. there he has his first team place and in milan either pirlo or gattuso will be on bench if he comes here and i dont belive that carlo would replace them

mk18

1. watch ur mouth
2. i never said he can only be a legend here, but i for sure would rather have him become one hre than any other place,, comprendo?
3. manchester suck balls... its mch easier for him to be one here

cool it mk18, he didnt say anything wrong.. he said his opinion, and he is 100% right.. if he goes to Man U, he has a chance of becoming a legend as much as he has at Milan, no matter how much u dislike the time or how bad they are.

I dont know why Milan isn't willing to pay 25 mil for Diarra. Even though I highly doubt that we have pulled away from him, the papers still favor other tems in front of us(not that we should believe the paper but they are still OUR only recource).
If you want the best, sometimes you have to pay something. Now, I am not saying that if a player comes for chap or for free, he is not good. I know that we can and we have been getting world class players for free or very low costs. But Diarra isn't the case and at the moment he is the player out there that can really really improve an already strong team. He is definetly worth the money and imagine with an already a midfield of Seedorf, Gattuso and Pirlo how balanced we would be. The addition of Diarra will allow us to rotate and still be steady as a rock in the midfield. Diarra will definetly give us the name of the "best midfield" in Europe. Besides, all the other reported transfer targets shouldn't cost a lot so I think we can definetly afford Diarra. Cafu has been confirmed to stay since he has signed a new deal wich means that we might only need Gallas in the back. (he can play both on the right side and in the center so therefore two problems can be solved by one purchase)
The other thing is that Ambro is ruled out for the season now. I love the guy but we can not rely on him if he is going to be out injured for a half season every year and when he is not injured, he is always "returning" to full fitness.

With Cafu now staying, the purchase of Gallas may be all we need in defence. Oddo and Barzagli might look good but I would opt for Gallas as he can play both in the center and out on the right. So Diarra + Gallas might equal something like 30 milion. I would say that we can afford that much.

By the way......does anyone know details of the Stam deal with Ajax? Did they pay something?

ok, no doubt diarra is good player, but he is too expensive, there are some players can do what he can, like appiah who cost lots cheaper! nowadays it is wise to shop around...or it has always been wise to shop around to find the best deals! the more expensive players do not necessarily mean they contribute more positively to milan than cheaper players!
i think van der vaart and/or appiah will be a good addition to our midfield.

for mk18:
1. or what???!!!
2. you dont get my point.he want be a first team regular and he is too expensive for a sub. carlo will never put rino or pirlo on the bench you should know that.he changes his first team when there are injured players .

1. or what?!?! ... dont talk to me in that tone especially when i havent said anything wrong about you, i wasnt talking about you or to you, so save ur badass attitude for urself!

2. diarra could easily replace gattuso in the lineup, i dont see why not!

ok guys (mk and Ivan), I decided to keep quiet in hope that this argument wouldn't rise up. Simply put, if you disagree with each other then that is fair, but do so in a respectable manner. No need for petty arguments.

for mk 18 :
i dont have time or nerves to argue with you or listen your threats.by me we are cool.we should talk about milan not ourselves.

by the way koln is going inti secind division next year so i guess podolski could be available for small money.i think we should go for him not diarra or vucinic. and for midfield i think we need a left winger. my first choice is still vaart

im not too sure, but I think he's signed a pre-contract agreement with Bayern.. zlatanov might know more on this as he follows Bayern closely

Let's cool down. I happen to like Diarra a lot, as he reminds me of Desailly who can provide necessary cover for our defense line which is very important for us. And I am pissed off to hear that that baldy again is giving up because of the price tag.

I do follow Bayern's games - watch them almost every week actually - but not that closely  . I am too engulfed in Milan's dealings to pay so much attention to Bayern :diablo: .
As for Podolski, yeah, it's true that his most probable destination is Bayern, in fact, should he opt to stay in Germany - as his agent stated several moths ago - I see bayern as the obvious choice for him. Schalke and Hamburg are also trying to build strong teams, and are rich too, but can measure up to Bayern's potential for titles and glory.
Not that long ago, however, there were reports about Real M being interested and then it was made clear by Podolski's agent that leaving Germany could be a pretty viable option. I think Milan's name was also mixed in the rumours but isn't always the case?
The guy won't come so cheap though, latest figures I remember were ~15mil asking price. Doubt that even with Koln being relegated, they would sell for less than 10-12mil. Still, he is a very intriguing player, one for the future no doubt.

I don't mind us having some cheaper players for the squad, aslong as they improve on what we have. But i do think it's time for new faces in the starting 11 before we have to replace too many players.

I wonder how much De Rossi from Roma would cost ? I also think that maybe D'Allesandro would be worth a try, he's been impressive for Portsmouth since his arrival from Germany. We might even be able to get him on loan for a season, which would be ideal. I like his pace, his tracking back and his skill is fantastic, plus he's versatile ... so he could play in several positions.

A few pacy players like him and one or two stoppers like Diarra and we'd be well away :)

D'Alasandro, I think was aprils premiership player of the month and would be well worth 4-5 million of a top clubs money, pace, vision passing ability and he gets stuck in defensively as well.
great player.

Well, Manchester United is a great club, no doubt about it (even if I personally don't like them particularly much). But Milan... Milan is something special. We are bigger than Man Utd, and I do think that, after all, there is slightly more prestige involved in succeeding at Milan than succeeding at Man Utd.
I believe it was Gallas who said that "when you get to wear the Milan shirt every weekend, then you know you have truly succeeded as a player."

I have no doubt what so ever that if we offered Diarra exactly the same terms as Man Utd, then he would choose us. Playing for Man Utd is a big acheivement, playing for Milan is a slightly bigger one. You'd be following in the footsteps of legends, not only in Italian football, but in world football. A lot of the best players the world has ever seen have played for us, far more than even Man Utd.

The only club that can compete with Milan when it comes to prestige is Real Madrid.

Then again, I am biased ;)

You and I may be biased but we do think alike  I remember he press conference when ManU chairman announced their new sponsorship deal with AIG, then he called ManU the most prestigious and biggest club in the world of football. Well, they can call themsleves all they want but when figures and stats start talking Milan and Real M do the talking, while everyone else is listening.
I may be biased, you may be biased, most others here may be baised, as well, but all I know is that facts and stats tell the truth and there aint no bias over there.

I'd like to see Ballack on Milan. And Totti to play alongside Kaka behind the strikers, and they need someone to play right back (can't think of any good ones right now)
