That Gourcuff dude? In fact he seems to be a great talent, but he's already coming, or we will see him wearing the rossoneri shirt only on 2007? And if he comes we will really play him or just loan the guy?
Lord_Tawreser
18-05-2006, 10:26
I really have no clue if he is comming or not comming :)
If he comes I have no clue if he's gonna play :)
I'd love to have seen Zidane play at 19 ;)
But then...would you play someone who's 19 in a game that matters..Wenger would :)

united already have rossi and now this guy. I read that he is amazing, check out his clip where he seal dribbles past the opposition. Apparently it is very hard for the opposition to challenge him legally as the ball is on the player's head. He is too young to a get work permit in england so he might come to spain or italy on loan for a while.

Lord Tawreser:
That's why I admire Wenger!
And if Gourcuff is really that talented, it will be ridiculous to get him and not play him.
BTW, don't you think that our 'we love oldies' policy can scare young talents to eventually join Milan?

I think they will feel persuaded to join us to get the best experience from our oldies.

Well, Rahul, you certainly get a good point, but that state of affairs can only work if we really put young players to perform on the first squad instead of only loaning them.

I think Kerlon is not that good. Talented, but overrated. If United is going to pay 9 mill for him they'll be doing a hell of a gamble.
MUFC have an expertise in picking the right Brazilian. Just remember Kléberson...

thats what the trick is, if matercazzi even touches him, he will fall down and get the advantage. imagine if that happens in the penalty box. Ofcourse manu haven't bought him just for the trick. fergusson is smart while buying and selling players. :sweeteye:

I have to agree with that remark... and that sounds to me like a terrible thing, because it's important for a player to develop himself in his original environment. Furthermore, being a brazilian, it's hard to see our talents going away so early.

If they are good enough they will move at a young age, this has been the case for years, Ronaldo moving to PSV for example.

Yes, unfortunatelly is a kind of inevitable process.
These South American talents are just like buses. If you miss one, you don't have to wait long for the next one :D
Jokes aside, doesn't anyone else find it a regular thing now with all these Argentine and Brazilian youngsters ? Kaka, Diego, Robinho, Tevez, Mascherano, Messi, Aguero, Kerlon, etc, etc ... Every new season brings along new talents said to be as big or even bigger than the last. We can't buy them all :)

damn, aguero is gone and i wished we'd get him, and now kerlon :/ I bet Tevez will be bought by someone in the near future.. grr we need to start buying young talents such as Giuseppe Rossi, Aguero, Messi at ages of 17/18.. if we wait for them till they prove themselves at 22/23 their value would be at least 5 times more.. for a team like Milan that is backed with a multi-billion president, we should not worry about taking risks spending 2 or 3 million.. we could always sell the player if we arent interested

Of course, that's exactly the question... we're missing fantastic players year after year, and what you get instead? Crappy oldies like Vieri, Amoroso and Favalli!

I ment thank god for Milan.
Aguero is 17/18 and Independiente (spelling ?) want an astronomical figure for him already. You have to accept that you're not going to get these talents for 2-3 million. Plus for all the successful talents how many will be failures ? Robinho is hardly setting the world alight, Diego is the same ... Cavenaghi seems to have disappeared from the football scale altogether, Maxi Lopez is struggling to get games at Barca, Saviola is now just a journeyman, Palermo played well but never hit the big time ... D'Allesandro seems to have found a new lease of life though ... Luis Fabiano isn't the same ...
I reiterate my point, we can't get them all ... it's not pokemon or something :D

youve been watching too many movies and ur too influenced by the crap they say in them...
... we may sign alot of old rotten fart bags for nothing but we also posses 2 of the best talents for the future and thats more than alot of other teams do... and besides its never been our policy to sign kids and try them out, and if youre so obsessed with this issue then why didnt you chose another team like arsenal when u had the choice.... its never been milans policy and it never will, get over it!

1. i never doubted your credential, im telling u when u were a kid you shoulve chosen arsenal if ur so obsessed with signing kids... its never late to change now ull be doing everyone a favour
2. times change buddy, alot of other teams have become bigger than us since that team and football needed something new, we chose to go for the old fartbags and guess what... IT WORKS!!!!

mk18:
Do you know players like Battistini, Maldera, Romano, Novellino, Icardi, Bortolazzi, Wilkins, etc., buddy? Well, in the early eighties, before Berlusconi's revolution, our squad, besides a solitary hero called Franco Baresi, was a living disaster loaded with crappy footaballers like the ones I quoted; by that time I used to hear Milan's games with my granddaddy (italian by birth) on his huge short-wave radio, 'cause there was not a single TV station showing italian in Brazil. I remember till today, for instance, the tears in my grandpa's eyes when we were relegated on 1982.
I'm saying all to that to remember you, mk18, that I'm a staunch milanista way down BEFORE almost all present here. So don't come with that shi****ty talking that I must be an Arsenal's fan. I am with our beloved side since the times of it's darkest hour, so no one here, including you, has the autorithy to teach me how to be a Milan's fan!!!
I will go on saying that I'm eternally grateful to Berlusconi, 'cause he's the main reason for the ressurrection of Milan, but that cannot stop me to recognize something painly obvious, that is to say, that our current transfer policy is positively RIDICULOUS, a policy totally unsuited for a side with Milan's history, fame and pride.
there is seriously something wrong with you... its either you dont understand english, or you dont understand at all ... probably the latter
i never doubted ur dedication for the team, and i dont doubt it for anyone here, its arrogant and ridiculous .. but all you do is nag nag nag ... i dont know if you realise it, but youre a baby! ... im advising you, u wanna see a team full of youths and all that crap youve been talking about... go support arsenal ... youre not gonna get it at milan so save it... its not our policy, no matter how hard you try, it aint happening til its happening, and with the way things are going it seems it gonna stay this way
GRE-NO-LI
19-05-2006, 23:17
I'm not a baby, mk18, and also not a lunatic... I simply couldn't care less for that ridiculous, mediocre and disguting attitude of magister dixit you seem to follow. I will never be part of the mouton de Panurge, I don't belong to the mindless flock of obedient lambs, 'cause I care a lot for my freedom of thought. So I will go on criticizing what I find wrong about the board's policies. And It doesn't matter at all if my opinion is powerless, that is to say, if I cannot change the state of things at the club,'cause the major purpose of any internet forum is the free discussion of ideas, not a fascist, singleminded, stupid and barren consensus. If we are not here to discuss our different points of view, what we are doing here?!?
That said, I want reassure all of you that I don't intend to offend anyone here, I'm only defending myself.
youre not discussing... YOUR NAGGING!!! ... havent you realised that since you came back youve been saying the same sort of crap in ALL your posts??? .. the worst thing is, its the exact same rubbish youve left us with

Can you two either stop or move this discussion into PMs, as it has nothing to do with the topic.
i have same oppion as 'GRE-NO-LI ',
we must take risks, look at barca requilme... failed there but now 1 of the stars of argentina and of villarreal!
d'allessando was axpected alot, but yea hasn't proven himself much
same for diego(porto)
but they are young and need time to develop. ronaldinhio was famous is past, but really show in fornt when he played at PSG.
so if milan is scared of the development, because i can agree PSG is not milan, there league isn't that harsch...
so loan them out to them and let them develop!!!
i am sure, dalessandro, diego will be well respected players in future they need time.
and we need to take risks(calculated 1'es) like kerlon, mascherano,...
they can already earn there place in milan IMO
back to this kerlon guy, did manure sign him already or what?
Stezagud
20-05-2006, 08:25
Dont think so, i think it was a tentative enquiry just to find out what they might ask for..
Is he putting in good performances in the league ? Is he playing really well ? Has he stolen the show at times ??
I'm not sure how they want £6 million for Kerlon, yet Independiente are asking for at least twice that amount for Aguero. Is Aguero twice as good then ? Maybe Kerlon's club just don't need as much money. Hopefully our South American members (yes you Pa7uel :D) can shed some light to the differences between them.

On the mark, Prifess, you hit the bull's eye: taking calculated risks is not some kind of lunacy, but a logical, rational option to build a new squad little by little, purchasing 2 or 3 top class young players per season. What's not at all rational is to insist on veteran players: if we don't change that insane policy, we will have to buy a whole pack of players in a very short time, which is obviously a much harder and expensive task than a gradual building.

That's really a pitty, to loose a first class youngster to a minor side compared to us like Valencia.
Milan will never buy youngsters cuz milan only think of the present (putting gila, and kaka aside) not the future. I can think of favali as a risk too, but favali will only play like 15 mins every 5 matches he wont't be a starter and this is the 1st week transfers so wait, i dont know any of these players u recomend, we are a big team and even with old players we did quite will for teams who have young players actually better.
my only concern is :sheva, dida, and some new (old or young but good) defenders. and that said milan wants to concentrate on the defence not new zidande or maradona. we have wat culd be the best ofence in the wolrd in 2 years KAKA and Gila.

Well, there are about 1600 forum mebers, say Sneijder costs around 10 mil euros, that's what - ~6000 from each of us. I am gonna rob me a bank, so I am in; from the quote above I am guessing you are in too, now all that's left is convince the rest. ;)
