if sheva goes, and Milan cannot get Eto or Henry how about Luca Toni?

I just put that rumour in the Shevchenko to England thread GC

Great minds think alike and all that :D

What if Shevchenko stays and we still get Toni ?? Would that be a good partnership ? I haven't seen any matches he's been in, so i have no clue how he'd work with us. All i know is he's big and scores goals, that's about it.

:coffee:

ive seen him a few times this season on bravo, and Luca Toni is a monster to say the least.. he has great control for a person his size.. i think he has everything we wanted to see in Vieri and much more... He plays alongside Gilardino in the national side and they play very well together...

Fiorentina want to keep Brocchi, so maybe we can do a cash + player deal....

Did anyone watch football italia last night? i was really surprised to see Brocchi and Foggia in carlo cudicini's best 11 of the season

I knew Brocchi was back with us but i didn't know if Fiorentina actually wanted to buy him or not.

If Brocchi and Foggia are in Cuddly Carlo's best XI then does that bode well for them being in our squad next season ? hmmm :d33: :D

Milan would like to bring Cristian Brocchi back to San Siro this summer, but Fiorentina warn they don’t want to release the midfielder.

It’s reported in several Italian newspapers this morning that the Rossoneri are looking to call Brocchi back to base as an alternative to Massimo Ambrosini, who is expected to move on.

The 30-year-old was loaned out to Fiorentina this season after four years as a squad player and quickly became a fan favourite in Tuscany for his grit and determination.

However, Carlo Ancelotti wants him in Milan again and it’s claimed the club has offered him a new three-year contract with improved wages.

They won’t take him without a fight, though, as Fiorentina released a statement this afternoon warning that Brocchi’s future should remain at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

“The loan signing in July 2005 gave Fiorentina the right to buy Brocchi at a specified price and the details of the two-year contract were already agreed. We have also informed Milan that this right to buy clause will be exercised in the time and method laid out by the rules.”

It’s believed that the Viola must complete the signing by June 20 for a one-off payment in the region of £700,000, but that Brocchi is unhappy with the decision not to increase his wages after such a positive campaign.

Brocchi began his career at Serie C outfit Pro Sesto in 1995 and first found fame at Verona, spending one season at Inter in 2000-01 before crossing the city for their rivals Milan.

This season he has scored three goals in 39 Serie A and Coppa Italia appearances for Fiorentina.

Luca Toni in Milan would be great,he´s big ,strong and not that bad when it comes to controlling the ball especially for a big guy, so yes get Luca Toni if Sheva leaves Milan.

But anyway Forza Milan

I`d say he had two consecutive excellent seasons! That`s why I beg to differ, i think he`s a very good striker. He scored about this amount of goals last season as well and he only polished up his skills in Fiorentina.I think this guy is an excellent player who adapts really quickly to the pace of the game and to the surroundings. I`m not sure Viola would let him go easily and i`m also not sure how well he`d fit into Milan but i wouldn`t mind seeing him in red and black to be honest. The only worry i have about him is that he`s already 30 years old.

i'd prefer gila cuz hes still adapting and young. Gila had a bad season cuz he had bad luck next season he will make wonders esp. with pippo in, i think gila saw the way pippo move maybe will adapt to his style.
and as far for sheva even if he leaves toni wont be the best choice i think adriano will, toni can a sub.

Fiorentina striker Luca Toni has failed to rule out the possibility of sensationally leaving the Viola this summer.

Toni, 31 goals this season, has been strongly linked with a move to Inter and he has today conceded that he doesn’t know what the future holds.

“There are a few problems between the club and myself at this moment in time,” said Toni who is believed to be after a new contract.

“The President and myself have started to talk, but there are a few things which we don’t agree on right now.

“However, I can promise the fans that they will be the first to know how things are going as I have nothing to hide.

“It is clear that we both have a desire to talk and, if this happens, then it shouldn’t take too long to sort things out. But you need two for a marriage.

“It’s nice to hear that the club still believe in me, but we’ll now have to see whether that is really true.”

Toni has had a fantastic first season at the Stadio Artemio Franchi since he left Palermo at the end of last term.

He netted 31 goals in 36 games and is now set to spearhead Italy’s attack at Germany 2006 after joining up with the squad today.

“We all just want to prepare as best we can for the tournament, then I’ll discuss things with my club,” he commented

Adriano was inconsistent cos he was out of favour wif Mancini. Besides, the Argentinian players in Inter had a bust-up wif him at Villareal. Wat better club 2 join than Inter's neighbours? Milan.......

Thr was Pirlo, Seedorf, Simic, Crespo
Milan really know how 2 bring out the best of Inter's rejects

Its ok ariel, I said this because I don't want him at Milan because of his age, also he is not a player that can play with Gila or Pippo... ;)

Toni's critics still portray him as a goal-shy gipsy. He's underrated The guy is tall, strong and has the midas touch. Anything he touches, with his right foot, left foot or chin results in a goal. Granted, next season will be testing, due to the pressure of expectation. If he delivers then he'll be rated highly.

Toni hasn't impressed me at all in the WC. Even the goals today had nothing to do with him, especially the second, which was 99% because of Zambrotta. Even Gattuso could have scored that ball. I think Gila has looked better than him when he's played.

well, gila seem to be doing just fine but his teammates seem to be bringing him down by not providing the service to him. i feel that toni did well in the aus game and this game but i must admit he doesn't look like a special player. i am almost 100% sure Inzaghi would have done better than him if given the same chances to play. Lippi should give inzaghi more chances.

btw about toni? he's my 3rd or 4th option. i prefer an all-round striker

He means that Gattuso is not much of a finisher, which is true, and that it didn't take a lot of skill from Toni to finish that.
I disagree with the point, however. Toni was at the right place at the right time, like a good striker should be. He doesn't necessarily need to fake the whole team out and score.

That was weird. I accidentally made a quote inside a quote.

Thank you for clarifying. That's precisely what I meant. I suppose you raise a decent point about being at the right place at the right time. I just think he's somewhat overrated, although he's definitely better than Iaquanta. That guy is horrible.

Yeah, thanx for your input Nalx_Sijabat, all season long I've been saying that Luca Toni is a striker who just scores goals and that he's worthless in any other way and that Shev is so much better than him. I noticed 'a look'.....and a bow. By Shev :)

But it was kinda funny, that whistling at the start of the game.
