This is the official announcement at www.acmilan.com

THE GRAND SCHEME
15/06/2006 15:30
Today Silvio Berlusconi returns to his post as president of A.C. Milan to the delight of Rossoneri fans. Over the years there have been victories to celebrate and losses to mourn, but one thing remains the same: Milan are there and are competitive at the top edge of football. With the season ticket campaign off to a start and Berlusconi back at the helm, there is extra significance for season subscribers as they secure their seats with a kind of proud confidence. It's a time to think of the past and look ahead to the future, with memories flashing back and forth on moments like Rijkaard’s Cup of Champions goal and the night of Milan-Lyon. The seats and sectors are but small details in the grand scheme of something greater and that something greater is Milan.

SO, Uncle Berlu...don't wait too long for a BIG MOVE and DIG DEEPER your pocket to bring in some champions to the team you love so much since 20 years ago... :1ole: :1ole: :1ole:

It's good that Silvio is back. Say what you want about him as a politician, but as Milan President, he is good. He is bringing back with him some brashness and swagger. We haven't done well with spaniards and players coming from Spain (Jose Mari, Javi Moreno, Cosmin Contra, Julio Cesar), so I don't think spending 30 mill on Torres is wise. He is talented but he has not set la Liga on fire, and a lot of his goals come from spot kicks. I actually think Ibra is the best fit, or bring in suazo who is proven in Serie A. Gila will be our #1 fwd from now on and watch him explode for 25 goals next yr. He sacrificed so much of his game this yr, be it a new club and playing with a striker next to him, unlike parma where he was the lone fwd. However, I believe the team should also look at a strong all-purpose midfielder, along with 2 defenders ( a center back like Lugano of Sao Paolo or the young argentine of villareal Rodriguez, and a flank player, such as alves, oddo or mesto.

Come on.. Ibra can NOT score.. I don't believe he should be brought to Milan. Look at his world cup campaign and his 2005-2006 Juve campaign.

My friend, to my knowledge Cosmin Contra is a Rumanian and Julio Cesar isn't a Spaniard either, maybe from Latin Amrica?

Ibra wouldn't be best for us due to his temperamental attitude. IMHO, don't bring a player that makes the teamwork and in the dressing room go worse.

Ramo mentioned, "Spaniards and players coming from Spain"...both Cosmin Contra and Julio Cesar came from Spanish League right? so imo, i guess there's nothing wrong with his statement Oldman.... :)

ARIO,

You are right that Ramo quoted players brought from Spain ( he meant La Liga??) but then did we bring Contra from Spain?? I think he played with a Dutch team if I'm not mistaken...

BTW, we are living in the same country, Indonesia...
Where do you live Ario? Jakarta or other city?
I live in Jakarta since 1970 after moving from my hometown, Semarang at the age of 25.
