Who watched the Ukraine game yesterday could see that this kid is awesome. the first ball that he got he let 3 swiss behind him and then got tackled. the next great play was at the wing when he pass through Phillip Deggen then tried to cross past Sheva, but the defender tackled the ball first.

Then after Sheva lost the penalty, the kid were not afraid to try and look what he DID! i mean, a average player would never do that!

we definitely should get him.

Yes we should get every player that plays well in one game come on...

Marino

No dude. Artem has been playing well every game. He were the top scorer at Ukraine sub-21 and recently he took Verpakovisky's place at Dinamo Kyiv.

SANT
27-06-2006, 14:31
oh, wow, if he replaced Verpakovisky then he must be the next Sheva, let's sign him?

Let's forget about everyone else! Sell Kaka', whatever is needed, we MUST get this kid because he scored a very nice PK...

Marino
27-06-2006, 14:46
Verpakovisky was unreplaceble at the time.

I don't give a damn thing about what you think, Sheva is gone and Gilardino is overrated. This kid is so much more player than Gilardino. Period.

I was agreeing with you Sandro13Nesta until you said he is better than Gilardino. If Milevskiy had been as impressive in Italy as he has been in the Ukraine then you'd have a point.

That aside, he is definately one to keep an eye and no not just because he had a decent little cameo against the Swiss. He was very good in the U-21 side and like Sandro said he's been doing well with Kyiv.

we can't transfer every player who in a game one time leave 3 defenders behind him ..
he can't be better then Gila :) NEVERR !!

Not to mention that Milan's transfer policy is to buy only outstanding and established players (with very few exceptions), I doubt one good match can earn him a place in any BIG team. As good as Rebrov was, he wasn't as lucky as Shevchenko was.

by the way, I think Rebrov's penalty was better than Milevskiy. :)

you are saying what you understood, not what he wrote... no one has a problem with him liking the player... I personally have a problem with his last sentence:

"we definitely should get him"

Didn't I say exactly that in another thread, :WC scouting", yesterday?
He is good and young, maybe cheap too, like e5-8M.

Yes, this kid shows glimpses of talent...and some confidence in that penalty!!
We should keep an eye in his development...

does that even matter? :D and you didn't get my point. :wallbang:

My point is that: he didn't impress me much except for the confidence he showed when taking the penalty; not to mention that his skills in taking penalty is not even the best in my opinion. If (even) that is taken away, do you think I would be crazy to have him in Milan? :)

My real point is that: I don't know whether he is really superb. Even if so, he needs to be very lucky to be considered by a real giant team like us. :pr115:

So I suppose my point probably coincides with yours. :)

c'mon dudes...Artem is really good.

people is comparing him to Ibrahimovic...take a look at the Fifa site.

with the way things are going for zlatan these days, im not sure thats a great comparison...

he seems to have a confidence in him that not many youngsters have, but 1 game, or even 1 season doesnt qualify him for a move to a team like milan

Arildonardo

We should keep an eye on him and leave it with that for now. There's no doubt he has talent, but he's not Milan-material. Not yet, that is. But who knows what the future will bring...

His penalty was pure class though! :dcool:

Voronin is apparently injured, so we might see him vs. Italy on Friday. If he does start that will be a true test of his abilities.

Edit: I've just confirmed that Voronin is out for the rest of the tournament. Hopefully Blokhin will start Milevskiy, as Ukraine have nothing to lose.

I am guessing it would be Rebrov who would get in the starting line up. But if Milevskiy does play, that would be indeed a great test for his talent. If he makes vs the Italy NT, then he may very well become a target as proof of CL experience would hardly be necessary.
Actually, My money's on Italy to lose. It all depends on whether Lippi realises that he has one proven striker sitting on the bench, and if Pirlo shows up for this game. ;)
Forza Ukraina

Marino
28-06-2006, 12:22
What does Lippi have in mind to prefer IAQUINTA instead of supperpippo. man, its too much for me. i can't stand both. (Iaquinta and Lippi).

Ukraine coach said that VOROBEI will be his replacement.

This kid is special indeed, his future looks bright...

I'd like to see Milevskiy carry Dynamo Kyiv like Shevchenko, before Milano won the lottery ;) ...

Is it true that all the three forwards/attackers in Ukraine are all named "Andriy"? :D

Man...Ukraine can't play. they depend on Shevchenko, and he can't do ****. He's the man that have to come back to pick the ball and throw it to the attack. Ukraine don't have any worthy playmaker, so, thinks tend to be more difficult.

WATCHED! nothing worth our efforts. a very physical player caught pushing for numerous times. Temper is suspect too after the 2nd foul he commit. Well, sheva still seem the best player there. After Rusol went out, i knew ukraine can't hold out. Rusol seem to be the only good defender there.

he didn't had any good chances to score and he wasn't active in game :)

not to mention the fact that even cassano seem tame beside him. not a player i would want in milan. Rusol seem to be a decent defender though, very good timing on his tackles. maybe we can get him instead.

what did sheva create? :sweeteye: He practically turn 3 italians players inside out and got himself clear to shoot before being brought down. That move is really sheer class just like the sheva we know.

maybe you like artem a lot but he is really nothing special against the italians and his temper is ......... we should just close this thread.

Right, seeing as Milevski isn't linked to Milan in any transfer rumours at all, I will close this thread.

I suggest continuing any further discussion about this player in another thread more relevant (Striker worthy of replacing Sheva maybe?).
